I'm not big on new years resolutions either - I instead do goals and if I don't achieve them then all good! woohoo for learning more reo! Where are your whanau from? That's awesome Meagan! Rawe! x

I used Scotty's books when I studied at Te Wanaga o Aotearoa. They are really good, speaking of him, I saw him and his whaanau at Aladdin the other day and I heard him speaking in reo with his tamariki and I was so jealous. It's so much harder to learn I agree!

My iwi are Ngāi Tahu, Ngāti Kahungunu and Kāti Māmoe, so mostly South Island around Christchurch and Hawkes Bay I think - I don't really know a lot of my whanau or much about my whakapapa though. I wish I'd had a chance to talk to my Grandma more about it before she passed (she was a genealogist and has, luckily for me, written some books about our whanau so at least I have a bit of reading I can do!)and I really wish I'd grown up speaking reo

I know what u mean by meeting people at an older age I'm an extrovert and still can't meet friends and the ones I have r younger and all have children so I feel u on that I think for me not being a driver I've never been able to hang out with friends either cos I hate relying on ppl to drive me around. Any tips on anxiety for tests? I've been learning my license for years but so scared to go again becos I failed 3 times already with the learner's. I filled in the survey btw

My friends and I are all at different stages in our lives, we just kind of make it work - I think that finding people you have things in common with (a hobby, music you like etc) is super helpful. I have a group of blogging friends that I talk to a lot (and would love to see more often) as well as my BFFs who all live far away from me, but we met through mutual friends and really formed a bond. My best advice for tests is to practice as much as you can until you're confident that you really know what you're doing, being prepared always helps with my anxiety. It's natural to be nervous but I'm sure you'll do fine! I did a defensive driving course, which I highly recommend and taking lessons could be a good idea too, so that the instructor can tell you anything you need to improve on before you take the test. Good luck! x

@@Thisismeagankerrblog thanks so much Meagan I've downloaded the app to practice I'm still very nervous trying to tell myself to not give up. Yeah I feel like I would do anything to hang out with riends more just don't feel like they feel the same way so I don't bother and I hate when plans change and they cant hang anymore I get real disappointed and stop talking to them. I need to change my way of thinking if I ever wanna keep friends

Good luck! I'm sure you'll find friends that you can regularly hang out with eventually, but remember that flexibility is important too! x
