  • Cowgirl and lover of books Caitlin Gooch noticed that the literacy rates in her hometown of North Carolina were low, so she created Saddle Up and Read, a non-profit organization that incentivizes literacy by allowing kids to interact with horses as a prize for reading. Caitlin knew she needed to reach a wider demographic of kids, so she raised money for a truck and trailer to bring books and a horse to children everywhere. Kelly speaks with two adorable children who've been helped by Caitlin's program, and Little, Brown Books for Young Readers donates $5,000 to help Saddle Up and Read reach more kids.
