Man, these Hank & Mark videos are my favorites.
at 64 years old I'm doing my first adventure bike ride from Nebraska to Detroit. It's a start! This was an awesome video.
that awkward hi5 or side hug moment between James & Pablo at 11:42 is me everytime i meet someone new on a ride
oh man it gets better at 13:20 . is he gonna go get the beer? is mark gonna apologise first? is pablo gonna go get another beer?
so mark basically -
1. dropped james and left him without inner tubes
2. started having a beer anyway, without keeping one handy for james (literally zero extra effort)
3. continued sitting & sipping as pablo gave up his beer and got another one for james
i see a new top 10 ways to not be a dick coming up.... :P
@@adityashetty1392 And it seemed to be only James putting up a tent (or trying to) - was Mark nice and cosy sleeping in the building at that point? đ
@@adityashetty1392 i recognized that too. james seems like a really cool and warmhearted guy, the chemistry between james and the other presenters is better, but that's just my impression. mark seems to be a litte bit more focused on himself.
@@adityashetty1392 probably the beer will get less cold and not as nice to drink. Plus pablo was the host and its only right he went to take it for james.
I would not mind if these kind of videos were like a series and maybe 4 or 5 episodes instead! Absolutely stunning!
Thanks Kristoffer
The GCN crew really flexing their cinematic muscles here. So good everyone. I feel some serious movie style content coming in the future. Let's go! Woop
how this was not a full film is beyond me.. we want more !!!
Brings me back 2 years, cycling across the Pampas from BA, through that area and then all the way to the south most point of South America - Ushuia!
I don't have a gravel bike but I want to do that trip so much right now. You guys are pretty lucky. Good job everyone!
Great video but should have been longer and maybe in several parts to include more information, felt a bit rushed... amazing trip though
Exactly my thought yoo
Matthew Passerini couldâve been a 30min vid
I agree. Wouldâve loved to have seen more of the actual trail riding. Feels like a missed opportunity sadly.
I have travelled a lot to that region, being Argentinian, and I would have loved more focus on the trails. Here it's hard to get off the roads and find some proper trails that are more than a couple of kilometers long
Definitely way too short, epic rides like this should be at least 60 mins
As a Chilean it makes me so happy to see you enjoyed this heaven land. Patagonia is truly one special place to ride. I'd love to see you going for the Carretera Austral. Cheers and keep up the great work!
Iâam Chilean (from Pucon a town near were you rode) and today literaly I rode my bike on some of those roads! Happy you came down here and you like it. Tell GMBN we also have some nice mtb and freeride routes.
GMBN inspired us to come down after their incredible epic rides there last year. You live in an incredible area of the world
I have been to Pucon a few times and would love to visit for the riding. Maybe a few nights in âtermasâ to sooth the muscles? đ
I DEMAND MORE BIKEPACKING CONTENT!!! I DEMAND IT!
Probably 99% of us cannot do such adventures so it is SO NICE to at least watch it. Thank you guys for such videos
Well you probably can! Just gear up and ride. A fancy gravelbike with light weight bikepacking is faster but if you're not in a hurry, any setup will do.
One of the most phenomenal places I have ever been. Bike packing there would be even better!
Time to fire up CZcams on the big TV and grab a good coffee.
Andrew, you're doing it right mate
Agreed!!! Perfect way to start a snowy Sunday morning!!!
Truly beautiful place. Hank and Mark are so great to watch!
Thank you Mark, Hank, and the crew for showing me the this amazing part of our planet
I couldâve watched this for an hour. Itâs like the grand tour production wise. Couldâve shown so much more!! Excellent video.
This is the kind of content that makes this one of my favourite CZcams channels. Great hosts at the moment, and Marc is always a welcome guest host!
Thanks Sam, we're very lucky that Mark can come and make these kind of videos with us
I love it when they get Hank to pronounce things đ
Well done guys!!! As a chilean GCN fan I couldn't be more than happy to watch this video.
Temuco is a nice city and the road near the lakes seems to be awesome...
I concurr with the others saying this video felt too rushed, maybe out of time constraints. The sheer endlessness and tranquility of the patagonian wilderness was a little bit missing. I get that it is essentially a promo video for the bikes, but maybe do a second video more focused on the experience itself
The video of Simon in Morocco had a completely different feel. Was it much longer? Must have been.
i know Im asking randomly but does anyone know of a method to get back into an Instagram account?
I stupidly lost the login password. I love any assistance you can give me!
@Vivaan Westin Instablaster =)
@Anderson Quinton I really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm trying it out atm.
Takes a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Anderson Quinton it did the trick and I now got access to my account again. I'm so happy!
Thank you so much you saved my ass!
What a scenery! Here a proud Chilean, really happy you guys made it to this corner of the world
It's nothing short of stunning.
....for 3 days
It's a lovely area of the world we really enjoyed visiting
Brings back both pleasant and sad memories of several fishing trips to Chilean side of Patagonia. Great video. Thanks
Sounds like an awesome opportunity
This kindof feels like a promo video for a launch of a new GCN channel dedicated to bikepacking with Mark as the host...... :-) :-)
Patagonia looks amazing, video could've been longer but good job lads, it makes me wanna go there
Welcome to Argentina! Next time you should visit Salta and the Northern provinces. It's gravel heaven!
Miguel speak the truth. đ
looks like an amazing trip but this video hasnt given it enough justice (unlike the morocco adventure)! but I still always look forward to the content everyday :)
Thanks Milind we hope to share more like this in the future
Great video. I always feel like going out on a ride on the nearby hills.
Great video guys, hope it was longer, but I really enjoyed watching those gorgeous landscapes of my home country and Chile (which is even more beautiful).
Been deep diving on GCN lately when not indulging in the "pain cave" and sneaking out on rides when the early spring weather allows here. I'm thoroughly enjoying Mark Beaumont's contributions. Love this Patagonia adventure - its been on my list for awahile now. It would be great to add this to the area around Bariloche to Puerto Mont a little further south as well. Just finished watching his Ultra Endurance Tips on his recent ride with Simon on the North Coast 500. Having recently completed a Trans Continental myself whereby I rode over 11,000km on 4 separate tours (1991, 1992, 2015, 2018) self supported meandering across Canada (on the same Scott Santa Cruz BTW), I was fascinated to agree and recognize many strategies I employed but also picked up a few new ones for my next grand tour once the madness of this virus passes. Thanks for that!
I want to make a suggestion if it hasn't already been done. I think we need to add something to the cycling lexicon. A "Beaumont" (noun) - the name given to riding a distance of 240 miles in a day; akin to a "Century" (100 miles). A "proper Beaumont" is completing it in a period of 16 hours akin to his around the world schedule. A "half Beaumont" constitutes 120 miles. You can also make this into a verb where you can apply it to anything in cycling that is initially kinda of fun and then figuring out the most impossible challenge with it ie Hour Record on a Penny Farthing. Example : He/She is really "Beaumonting that right now.
After a few too many glasses of wine recently I decided - out loud - to commit to do my first "Beaumont" this summer. Let the masochism begin...
love the bikepacking videos
It's mindblowing to recognise those places myself
Lovin all the videos with Mark! great to see you guys getting on so well and going on epic adventures! Top stuff
Mark and James never do you disappointed! Great video and more bike pack challenges videos with these dudes.
This was great! Iâd love to see more of it, but as it was, this was a great sample. Show us more! Anything with these two guys is always fun, and when they go to such an astonishing place, it is even better.
Loved this.
I could watch one of these every day till I die. So motivating.
Finally it's here!
I've been waiting for this video ever since it was first flagged on instagram. It did not let me down... just fantastic!!
Thanks Roger, we're really happy you love it
Sunday morning pre ride inspiration đ
Some stunning scenery!! đ
Had so much fun watching your video!đ
The cinematography and scene setting maps, at the start, were fantastic.
Hello GCN friends, I'm glad you enjoyed our southern landscape. I'm a Chilean guy and I've been watching your videos since a couple of years now. I've learnt a lot of cycling stuff through the language I'm learning.. You do a great job!!.
Awesome, Amazing place, epic bikepack trip
Stunning. No other words needed.
My favourite cycling duet. Keep pushing, guys! đ
Thanks Mark
Didnât want it to end! Really love these adventure videos. What an amazing place!!!
Thanks Mike! We were very fortunate to be able to visit for work
that is gorgeous, especially with snow around MA US. great video and a great place to ride
I love that Mark still rocks that Forerunner 920
This is a dream ride!
My most recent bike packing adventure was from Grand Junction Colorado to Las Vegas Nevada with my dog Rosco in a Burley Tailwagon. It included 7 miles of hiking through the Utah Desert, camping in Capitol Reef National Park, watching Red Bull Rampage with friends, and endless buffetâs from Mesquite to Las Vegas.
This year, Tripple crown attempt of the Trans Am Bike Race again.
Another Mark video! Cheers.
if mark was a presenter on this channel doing monthly epic rides and bikepacking it'd be amazing
Awesome video as always. But yeah they definitely could have made a series out of this for sure
Leaving James for dust with a puncture is true Top Gear form, nicely done đđ€Ł
Never new I needed to see you guys naming Chilean cities. A treat for sure. Glad you had a blast in the Patagonia.
These adventure videos are the best!
You're right my lady
When was the adventure part?
@@thecrowfliescrooked Wow, good query.
Brilliant!!!!!
Awesome, this got me pumped to hit the road again tomorrow
Looks like a lot of great fun, GCN!
Great trip, I'd love to see more of that tour. Keep up the great tours. KB
EPIC Ride!!! đŻ
that looked absolutely fantastic
Hank and Mark are the best presenter duo since Matt and any other presenter
Great adventure. Hey GCN, would love to see a behind the scenes video of these trips.
Thats a good idea som
breathtaking scenery
always loved Patagonia...
This is proper cycling inspiration stuff.
We think so, thanks Gareth :)
Another fantastic adventure captured on video. Makes you want to quit your job and embark on these epic journeys.
Thanks very much Wei
Amazing views and an adventure. Enjoyed seeing different parts of the world via bike travel. Keep providing these videos!!!
Thanks Chris
More like this please! But 18 minutes is nowhere near long enough. Good work all :)
Thanks Genrege glad you enjoyed it
Stunning!
Cool - can't wait to bike back in that region one day.
GCN does it again, goes on an amazing trip that could easily dragged out to at least an hour (maybe up to 2 hours), but instead does 20min đ©
Nice Video. Patagonia has been on my bucket list for a while. Look forward to more footage from your South American Adventures....
Fantastic trip
Lucky boysđđ»đđ»
Cheers Richard
Great tour....wonderfull landscape!
Looks awesome.
Epic trip lads đđ
Great video and waht stunning views. Lucky lucky boys :)
I volunteer to be the guy off camera who carries or does the stuff you donât want...just let me tag along on these amazing adventures, PLEASE!!!!!
Hi guys, I'm from Chile, and we considered Patagonia from Puerto Montt to Punta Arenas, Temuco is considered south of Chile, just tell you for the next trip you know real Patagonia that it is Amazing!!!! Regards from Chile đšđ±đ»
Out biketouring, with some nice gravel roads, and a we bit of single track.
Mark and John, Just found your great video today and amazingly we are in Puerto Varas and about to start our two week trip north which includes part of your route. Can't wait...
Pablo gave James his own beer. What a nice dude! The difficulty of James with the hug vs Hi5 just goes to show how warmer and much more welcoming South Americans are in comparison to Europeans.
Great adventure and fantastic world trip GCN guys!
Thanks Vincent we're very fortunate
Great production guys! Keep the good work!
Gr8 video !!!! Only problem...... wish it was longer đ
Thanks Mark! We'll keep that in mind for the future
You guys should have included the big dinner! Local cuisine is such a big part of bike packing.
I'd love to see a long way round type series with these two, would be amazing
Is it only me, or this bike packing mini trip feels (a lot) less exciting than Morocco and Iceland? Next you guys have to ride in Namibia for a week... Breath-taking landscape, never-ending tracks and amazing wilderness.
Great work chaps - unreal landscapes!
Thanks Sam
Awesome production of video this is like a movie đ„°
Thanks Dunigan
Damn it, those videos makes us want to just go and hit the road. Itâs an itching desire already that gets more intense because of you :) . Must have been a blast
Cheers Eric, it was a really great opportunity
Beautiful đđ»
Wow super nice adventure!
for the last few weeks I stopped watching NEWS, swapped them on GCN, however this episode is strike me so bad as my priority now is to cross patagonia on my bike. love hike, wild camping, nature.
Awesome video
Would love to see gcn do Lejog in the future, Britainâs most famous ride and some beautiful scenery close to home along the way
Love the video đ
