    Hi, thanks for this useful video!
    I am about to carry out a similar job, however, the refurbished compressor I purchased came with no lubrication oil. I found that it should be filled with about 150-180mL of PAG46 oil. Is there a preferential side (low or high-pressure side) it should be added to?

    • @a2zautomasters862
      @a2zautomasters862  Před 3 lety +1

If you have any part of the bolt showing you can you an turbo sockets or weld a nut on the broken end then extract. If nothing showing you will have to drill it then use extractor kit. I can honestly say that I hated changing the A/C compressor on my 2003 C320 more than any car work I have ever done. The original compressor pulley assembly decided to simply start falling off of it's shaft. Mercedes can't seem to make a good car AC system worth a shit. My other Mercedes, a 1986 W201 diesel, has gone through 1 compressor and 2 related wiring harnesses and now doesn't work (again) after all of that and several thousand $$$ in A/C parts and labor. In the meantime, I have a 45-year old Chevy truck that is still working well with the original compressor.

      I know. I have a 25 yr old S10. I read somewhere a lot of it was originally designed in the 1940's and 50's and they just stayed with what worked in the newer models. I see too much of trying new things in Mercs instead of keeping what worked and not changing it.
