Next time you do a tank cleaning make sure to raise the water level up because rn it’s a little bit to low down but other then that you are a pro turtle mom
You seem like a really good person but there needs to be more water in the Tank

Yeah but he is still a little baby when they are that little they are still learning how to swim trust me I have 2 turtles so she’s fine but yes she needs to upgrade when the turtle gets bigger she will have to upgrade the water

I have a red eared slider and i have spent HUNDREDS in trial and error setups for her habitat. Fish Aquarium filters are trash for turtles. And Leon is soo tiny. I remember when mine was that small!!

@@lucylulu444 That depends on the size of your turtle and how much waste they produce. Mine pooped so much, it clogged the filters. So I chose the scoop method. Nowadays, she is the size of a trucker hat. I got a turtle waterfall filter and it works great!

I have a 10 gallon tank and have 4 gallons of water in it,I don’t have pebbles or anything on the floor besides some rocks which makes water changes a lot easier,4 gallons is enough water for them to swim around in,Also to anyone looking for the right supplies I recommend you price match everything

Goldfish is not actually Healthy for red eared slider’s like Leon I recommend sticking to pellets and fruits and veggies

I commented in your other video and I am going to comment again. Please check your other turtle video for more information. He will get a lot bigger. He will need a 100-200 gallon tank. He needs a basking spot with a basking light, a uvb light, and a very strong filter! (Turtles are messy). If you can’t afford him just give him to a shelter. Large tanks can go from $100 to $500. Good filters can be up to $150. It might be sad but it is what is best. His current tank needs to be bigger and needs more water. I know that you are doing your best and it is a lot better than his last owners but in the long term he needs a big tank. Please respond
I have it handled love. I’ve already spoken to many ppl about my breed of turtle. Plus the person I asked at Petco has 4 of same exact turtles in her home. And I’ve spoken to vet technicians as well. They all say I’m doing just fine and won’t need to change the size of my tank that soon. I’ve spoken to many many many ppl on this subject. But thank you very much for your concern.
Professionally Silly, okay. I just wanted to make sure you knew what you were getting into. You can start with a 10 gallon and keep upgrading I have just found it easier to start big. But the turtle you rescued is a lot smaller than the ones you can normally buy, a smaller tank might be better for now. You are an amazing person for rescuing that turtle from those people’s house!
