For those who didn't know! 'Lalali' is a pun for '날라리' which can be translated to 'delinquent/punk'. Therefore we got those looks for MV ! (Honestly those concepts more seem like gangsters tho )

Some explanations : SEVENTEEN is separated into 3 subunits :
- hip-hop unit (4 members) -> LALALI
- vocal unit (5 members)
- performance unit (4 members)
The majority of their songs will be performed by all 13 members, but sometimes each unit releases their own music.
When it comes to the meaning of the music, LALALI captures the essence of youthful rebellion and the desire to live freely, free from expectations or societal norms (to sum up).

as a korean, this is one of the most korean-culture-packed music videos i've seen ever and i really mean this !!!!! it's also probably why someone who isnt familiar with korean culture may be confused as to what's going on in the movie haha
it really is korea embodied without the use of traditional clothes (hanbok) which is what kpop often uses as a tool to express korean culture
thing is this is the second time they've done unit mvs, the first time was during 2017, trauma (hiphop team), lilli yabbay (performance team), and pinwheel (vocal team), this time its spell (performance team), cheers to youth (vocal team), and lalali (hiphop team) which is the one you've just watched, hope you react to them too !! it gives you an insight on their individual voices as singers
This is the sub-unit hiphop, if you are interested in watching the other units: Spell is from the performance unit, cheers to youth is from the vocal unit. BSS is a seperate unit, they have bops like fighting and just do it.
Carats, one doesn't simply spring Sub-Unit MVs to new reactors. You need to ease them in with the classic greats! May I suggest starting with 1) Don't Wanna Cry, then 2) Very Nice (Aju Nice) MV, then 3) Home; Run! SEVENTEEN is 13 member group divided into 3 sub units.
* Hiphop unit - 4 members (SCOUPS, Vernon, Wonwoo, Mingyu)
* Vocal unit - 5 members (WOOZI, Jeonghan, Seungkwan, Joshua, DK)
* Performance unit - 4 members (HOSHI, Dino, The8, Jun)
p.s --- The one with capital letters in names are the leader of each unit but the overall leader is SCOUPS.
As a carat, I'm loving this reaction and I'm hoping for more vids about seventeen. The following are some of my favs and recommendations:

They also have songs per unit, and LALALI is from the Hiphop unit.
Also, they have what they called "GOING SEVENTEEN" it's their variety show. Them playing and etc (A LOT OF THINGS IS HAPPENING THERE) I'm hoping you guys also react on that!
Usually on an album, each sub unit will get its own song. On this latest comeback, hip hop unit got this song, Lalali, performance unit got Spell, and vocal unit got Cheers to Youth. The thing with the subunit songs is that it gives the members a chance to be spotlighted more doing what they’re really good at. Because on a song like Super, yes we see them all work well together as a group. But there’s only so much a 3-4 minute song can be split up between 13 people. With the subunit songs, they get to display their talents more. The hip hop unit get to rap. The vocal unit gets to sing. The performance unit gets to dance. And the longer you’re a fan and have developed a bias, the more you appreciate seeing your fav in the spotlight.
That being said, one of my favorite things to watch are the dance practices and choreography videos. Because as much as I love the songs, I think I love the dancing more.
It's a sub unit of Seventeen. They got 3 sub unit in Seventeen. Hip Hop, Performance Team, and Vocal Team. So basically 13 members + 3 units+1(as a whole group) = 17.
What you girls watch is from Hip Hop Team MV Lalali- Kim MingGyu (Tallest one), Wonwoo (2nd tallest), Vernon (Mix American-korean),
S Coups (the bath part- leader of the whole group Seventeen)
Performance Team ("Spell" new song too as Lalali) : Hoshi, Jun, The 8, Dino (Maknae or youngest in the group)
Vocal Team new song (Cheers of Youth) : Seungkwan, DK, Woozi (shortest members but producer of the group and write the lyrics for Seventeen and sub units song with seventeen members too), Joshua and Jeonghan
And another addition of sub unit: BSS (Seungkwan, Seokmin(DK), Soonyoung (Hoshi) and JxW(the newest sub unit for last month (Jeonghan and Wonwoo). (their guide videos are numbered in order 1 - intro, 2 - hiphop team, 3 - performance team, 4 - vocal team & outro) I've seen quite a few new fans and interested people react to the guides and they did a spectacular job breaking down seventeen for them all!
