    The evolution of Western pop was mostly through the Radio while for Kpop it was through the Television. As a result, Kpop has always had a visual aspect to it, whether it is through inclusion of choreography, high production value of MVs or adding storylines and lore. Personally, I do enjoy and appreciate all the effort put into Kpop MVs. 💜

    as a korean, this is one of the most korean-culture-packed music videos i've seen ever and i really mean this !!!!! it's also probably why someone who isnt familiar with korean culture may be confused as to what's going on in the movie haha it really is korea embodied without the use of traditional clothes (hanbok) which is what kpop often uses as a tool to express korean culture

    i understand the music videos can be a bit overwhelming because there's just so much going on lol. i'd recommend Spell and Cheers To Youth, since you watched LALALI. Spell is a song by the Performance Team which consists of four of the members ,(Hoshi, Jun, The8, and Dino) while Cheers To Youth is a song by the Vocal Team which has the remaining 5 members(Woozi, Jeonghan, Joshua, DK, and Seungkwan). and for a group song Maestro would be the one to watch, it's their most recent comeback(term we use when idols/k-pop groups release new music/new album). Enjoy! :)

    @marinal. Před 2 dny

    Hi, i am back. Good reaction, ty. Kpop is not only song, melody, and MV. It's a lot of things in one. U have to watch the MV multiple times to understand what they trying to say here. Sometimes they do make a video with one or 2 locations but that fits the song best. They always try to express the lyrics the best way possible. I believe Carrots watch the MV 13 times or 14 to see focus on each member and then for the overall vibe. Maybe even 15 times to read lyrics. There are a lot of easter eggs here as u saw with Darling. =0] I like certain vids more than others and same with songs. But i am also a visual person and this is all about the visual. I like the chorus in this song but the whole thing did not work for me on 1st listen. Like it's not balanced to me. Which is basically me not being able to find a rhythm. It's all about the rhythm to me. Rock with You is my fav from them. So bloody catchy. The red haired guy is Minghao (The8) he is Chinese and everyone loved him in this MV, lol. The8 has such a unique face to me it doesn't matter the hair color. I will recognise him, np. Also, many bias him lol. I hear yelling of his name often in reactions, LMAO. Woozi recently said that it was the company who gives them their parts. ✨ It's wild but makes sense. =0} They have been getting noticed more. Their fandome is growing. So agree they are currently hot, lol. I think they are proud and happy at their growth. Darling is a song of theirs. Not sure if it came before this one or after. Icarus reference here. I remember on 1st watch I noticed Jeonghan holding the wings. Back than i had no idea who he was. But he still drop dead gorgeous to me. =0p Jeonghan,Joshua, Wonwoo, and Hoshi are my guys 0.0 The8 is a wrecker and so is DK 0.o . lol. Noticed the Fear song reference that was cool. Double and triple meaning for sure. Their close relationship reminds me of BTS. So i want to learn more. Happy to join u on ur journey. Borahae. -NY USA 2019 Army 💟 "Seventeen Killing Voice" on the Dingo Channel, it has English subtitles. During the video, they sing several of their songs from the beginning of their career to the Hot Era (Face the Sun). @cinarin said on 7/2/22 all right I'm back cause I had to watch an editor break the transitions in the mv down for me after you broke down the meaning and I wanted to point out a few things, first the DARLING idk if anyone noticed it (I absolutely did not) but the bullet that goes through the heart hands hits the L in DARLING and the word becomes DARING instead. I screamed!! this is really one of those mad mvs we need to go frame by frame to process the details. There's a frame of a zoomed in shot of the coin they kept tossing around and you can read the embossed legend on it and it says: bet your tomorrow on the sun of fate. Also the way I see it with this concept is that they're embodying the SUN in every aspect: they're daring, playing with fire/danger, embracing risk even dancing with death (the skeleton) and the fuming bullet in Vernon's mouth etc until they reach the end of the mv and the fake sun that was behind them loses its fire (cause they've absorbed it) and its true form is revealed (it burns out and the fans appear) and then we see the real sun and a seventeen member grabs it and the rest is history.

  • @cuedeeeee
    @cuedeeeee Před 2 dny

    that's the uniqueness of K-pop, the mvs and the music, there's a lot of elements going on. It also gives the fans more to ponder on, especially with music videos, it has a lot of hidden cookies you have to look out for. I read in an article a kpop mv production costs ROUGHLY $88,000 or higher. For the HOT mv, Rigend film produced it, for Lalali and all their recent 2024 mvs (Maestro, Spell, Cheers to You) it was SL8 visual lab. Also, a little bit of a heads up too, it can get a bit overwhelming and time-consuming if you start reacting to other groups as well. But of course, your choice of which groups to react to is still at your own discretion. Thank you so much for reacting to SEVENTEEN!!

    Love your reaction! Please keep reacting to SEVENTEEN 😭💖 They're my absolute faves! In K-pop, they're known for several things: • Kings of Synchronization: All the Seventeen members are incredible dancers and always in sync during performances. •Variety Shows Kings: They've appeared on numerous shows in Korea, Japan, and now China! Audience love them for being entertaining and fun to watch. They even have their own show, 'Going Seventeen' started in 2019, and still airing every Wednesday. •Self-Producing Idols: Seventeen is heavily involved in producing their music. Members write, compose, and produce their songs, showcasing their creativity. •Million Sellers: They've made history as the first K-pop artist to sell over 6 million copies of a single album! You’ve gotta check out their live stages…they're absolutely mind-blowing! Plus, they release dance practice videos for every song, showcasing their incredible dance skills 🔥

  • @vanadu238

    Everything about Kpop is over the top which is why I love it. "Super" was more of a performance video so it wasn't as crazy, but this is a typical Kpop video. Some groups have a storyline/universe throughout all their videos. Others have concepts for an album. You need to watch the video multiple times to decipher the story and find references. There are reaction channels which provide info and theories for Kpop videos. The live performances are also on another level (the stages, coreography, costumes, hair, makeup, etc.). It's not just the female artists, the male artists also go all out.

    The song itself represents something like Seventeen stating that this is their new era: they are facing the sun, to climb to the highest of peaks - literally become the sun - and they don’t know how high they’ll climb but they are ready to become whatever the new heights will have them evolve into. But it’s also a hype song lol The music video has a lot of hidden Easter eggs for the fandom but generally the visual theme takes a lot of inspiration from Mad Max. An easy Easter egg - in the beginning there is a bullet that shoots the word “Darling” (which is also the name of one of the songs) which turns it into “Daring”. In terms of the craziness of the video - it’s definitely a stylistic choice and a style common in kpop but certainly not the only style out there. Plus the Seventeen songs you’ve reacted to so far have been pretty hype energetic ones with a bit more chaotic energy lol
