I like how the bassist is all chill and stuff, like everyone else is all dancing weird, and just generally being weird and the bassist is all, "hey, I'm just happy to be here, don't mind me". Great song and great band also.
That's how everyone use to jam with their instruments back then especially in the alternative and nu metal scene. Everyone else was to worried about messing up their emo bangs lol
I love and miss my uncle. This band was the first rock show he took me to in Pompano Beach FL when I was a teen. And, they blew me away!!!!! RIP Uncle Anthony.
@@RaquelsModernLife No they didn't. UFC used the song "Face the Pain" by STEMM and yes the riff does sound a little similar but I wouldn't go as far as saying STEMM stole the guitar riff
Been listening them since high school in the mid 2000's. I always loved watching the bass player, in every video, just chill in the back and do his thing, watching his pals go nuts. Always makes me laugh.
One of the most perfectly executed music videos of all time. Love all of the focal lengths and camera angles and camera shakes that follow the music to a tee. Awesome job!
Forgot to mention. I saw you guys in 2003 at the Corel Centre in Ottawa. I was there to see Ozzy and had never heard of Finger 11. You left a permanent mark on me. I recognize talent when I see/hear it! Good job guys!
One of the first songs that led me down path of metal back in my freshman year of HS.... knee deep in death metal and other stuff... such humble beginnings, lol
+LombaxesAndOttsels ugh, they played that song to death when i was in highschool, so id troll the 'new' F11 fans with the fact they made goofy songs in the 90s as the rainbow butt monkeys
it was good stuff.. I still have it and listen to a few songs from it from time to time.. brings me back to being a 17 year old kid (where the time go?) lol
+Frisbee I believe what many bands don';t share with It's consumers throughout the years for the reason hard rock goes soft; maturity. With wisdom comes less aggression. Truths like, violence begets more violence. Victim mentality lyricism is void of solutions that keep an individual harboring resentment, by being incapable of forgiving. Lastly, the awareness of the power of influence. It's great to relate to a countless number of dysfunctional youth, but why continually fuel hatred/bitterness when the outcome is well understood?... This clearly doesn't apply to everyone. Just my observations over the years along the spectrum of Rock.
Ishiinrue Oh I agree with you 100%. That's my argument against haters of the new-age Korn. When the older Korn albums came out, Jonathan was in a bad frame of mind. He grew up and isn't as full of hate, and that is apparent in their music. I'm all for growing with bands as they change their frame of mind, as long as the music is still to my liking. If a band changes their style of music (i.e. Trivium going more power-metal in their last album) than I simply won't listen to it. I'll give it a chance, but that's the thing with music, it's all subjective. In the same breath though, you can still have awesome heavy music even though it doesn't have self-loathing and hateful lyrics. Just look at Gojira.
Sean is probably one of the most underrated bass players I've ever heard. should get more recognition. his bass tells a story in alot of finger eleven songs.
Quite literally one of the most UNDERRATED Rock Bands of ALL Time! So much incredible potential within this crew...what could have been should have been! Wtf happened to the phenoms!? So many memories to this album..was a source of strength after a nasty breakup with an ex gf I still love to this day. Powerful vibes to say the least 🙏🍀✌️♾️🤯💥☣️☢️🌋🪬🆘🧨💯
good old classic. this was the first song I heard by them and first time I discovered them. I was 10 or 11 at the time. Going to be seeing them live for fist time in July!
Greyest of Blue Skies was an amazing album!! It's still one of the the few albums I can listen to all songs all the way through and still enjoy! I want this Finger Eleven back! Before they sold out! :(
Heard this song a while ago in Dragon Ball Z Movie 4: Lord Slug and tried to figure out what song it was by them lol. Only knew it was them by Scott 's voice. Had to look it up.

They greyest of blue skies was the first album I ever bought. I was 7 years old and I had my mom drive me straight to the store with my allowance after hearing this song on the radio.
I remember seeing this song live at the university of Calgary in 2000. Finger eleven opened for I Mother Earth (post Edwin leaving)….and holy fuck, they killed it. EVERYONE was crowd surfing, the mosh pit was insane, there were people jumping from the fucking stage; amazing live performers. They sounded just like they did on their recordings. They were better than I Mother Earth, by far. Will never forget this!

Yea. I wanna get it again. My mom gave it to me when I was a kid and over the years it got lost from moving alot

I know that the first time i heard there album in the fuckiing 90s lol
Ah, the late 90's/early 2000's style of holding the guitar at your ankles.
Gotta love the 20th century
stop, can't handle the nostalgia already...
Yup. I forgot about this band nice to hear them again ahah
uh that started in the early 90s,,,,watch Krist Novaselic with Nirvana
alternative metal should be alternative in all aspects, even in the style of holding the guitar

I like how the bassist is always standing there jamming. He never goes crazy.

Almost as clean as Dino’s drumstick swap in Bug Eyes by Dredg. You can see it the music video. It’s amazing

22 years later and this video still rad as it ever be!!!
This song goes unnecessarily harder than it needs to! 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Listen to tip. It's a great album start to finish.
Wow, I had no idea Finger Eleven used to be like this. They remind me of Stained. Used to be hard and now they're not.

The insturmental of korn + lyrics of deftones = perfection
I miss music (and music videos) like this. There will never be a time like the late 90s and early 2000s ever again 😢
This album was my hyperfocus for a week after a tragedy and it took me nearly 20 years to be able to listen to it all the way through again.
What happened to THIS finger eleven?
It was riding the nu metal train, and it stopped at "Pop Success" station, and they got off. =D
Well actually Matt Damon started focusing on his acing career and quit the band as their lead singer.
Jefferson Ruboix :(
Jefferson Ruboix that's all because he gained weight and lost some hair(
TheGreaterGood80 that’s actually my favorite part
Brings back memories of high school

I can feel the adrenaline. The guitars sound like they're bleeding, the voice is pained, the drum is done so perfectly arouse the perfect beat.
Perfect example of sell outs. Loved this band,. Keyword LOVED
how did they sell out?
Applebottom Jeans
Look how they are now
***** Bands change.
Changing with age doesn’t automatically mean selling out. Sometimes the opposite happens.
just like how hedley went from punk to pop
Ohhh yess I love his heavy songs! Such a frickin fabulous screaming voice!
This song reminds me so much of Korn in every way
Lol!!!! Same thought!!!!!
@Guitarriff1988ii slipknot doesnt sound like mudvayne bro 🤣
Julian Picard in every way no doubt.
Guitarriff1988ii I listen to all those bands, and I haven’t heard a song sound so much like korn ever like this particular song.
@Guitarriff1988ii Limp Bizkit sounds more like Linkin Park
idk how more badass you can get lol
