One of the loudest exhausts I’ve heard in person for the e92 I believe was the quick silver exhaust. It was insanely loud. But sounded so good

In my experience you don’t want it too loud, it’s horrendous!! I had a straight pipe on mine when I bought it, the novelty wore off very quickly, used to set other cars alarms off when I started it up!!! And unless you are okay with getting tinnitus, all that cabin sound deadening does jack shit, couldn’t stay in there for more than 30 mins before losing my mind!! Ideal set up is imo primary cat deletes (gutted cats) and 2 pipe mod on stock back box, heavenly sound!

Resonator delete is a great sound (video on my channel). Also, the best sounding exhaust is bmw m performance inconel titanium exhaust with test pipes

If you’re deleting cats you’re going to have trouble with emissions in general. It’s that simple. Spend the extra money for a sport cat system

personally I think it sounds better with Cats, because at some point the crispy note gets lost on the top end where this engine sounds sweetest...

People finally got smart about paying $3k for a stainless muffler, or in the case of akra, $8k for some bent titanium piping that will crack after a couple years of heat cycles
Brett Swan Akrapovic pipes aren’t bent, they are hydro formed. It’s also lighter than any other stainless steel exhaust out there and no, it doesn’t crack.
Been running an Evo setup for a decade that’s been used and abused, still looks brand new and no leaks.
Agreed, half of these are the equivalent of straight piped 350z's. Annoying af and something that only appeals to 12 year olds.
I’d much rather stick to my OEM 4-pipe mood & test pipes. Same performance gains as an Akra, $4,500 less. That money can be put into suspension components that will actually make the car faster.
