Built in a time when Hondas build quality was noticeably better that the others, and before the 600s became so race focussed, that sales dropped off. These steel framed CBRs are probably the best "Jack of all trades" bikes ever made, they are greater than the some of their parts, and still a great bike. A guy I ride with sometimes is an ex production racer, and he has a 93, when we ride with younger guys on newer 600s and GSX-R750s he just clears off, they can't keep up, when set up properly, with good rubber they still cut it.
Are we really seeing a 27 year old cycle with under 15,000 miles on the speedo?? My '91 has 43,000 and is considered "low mileage" !!! Yours is a keeper for sure.

Nice! Did you ever replace the regulator rectifier? My f2 runs for a bit before fading out and gets drained somehow... other than that sounds good.. was running like a dream
@@grigoriyk6474 The Regulator/Rectifier and Cam chain tensioners are the perennial faults on many Hondas from the 80s and 90s. Ive honestly lost count how many Hondas came into our shop with Reg/rec and/or tensioner issues. Both are an easy fix, especially now with well developed aftermarket electrics. But you would have thought Honda would have sorted it out, as it was a persistent issue for years.

The governor rectifier and the timing chain tensioner are typical faults in this model. It is not important because it is a great model.
