It's a cover of ACDCs song. John loved doing this song and really does it justice here. He's so good at everything he does. Loved your reaction, thankyou ❤

This is an extraordinarily high energy performance to give as an encore to a 2 hour concert. Everyone on the stage and in the audience is having an absolute blast. I don't recall ever seeing an orchestra conductor having that much fun, even though they all love their jobs.
There's two other tracks from that same concert that together demonstrate just how versatile John is...
Help: an emotionally power-packed cover of the Beatles classic.
You're the Voice: A defiant anthem full of passion, and John's signature song.

The John Farnham Band is actually a separate entity to John Farnham himself.
They are just an amalgamation of the best and most talented musicians that John and his freinds could get their hands on and all became one giant family. They had a steady base of permanent crew, but many more came and went as either temporary visitors that just happened to be in town at the time and agreed to come play, or those that could only play every now and again due to being with other bands themselves.
Many international singers would actually save on their traveling expenses by hiring this band to back them up knowing that they were hiring excellence of the highest caliber when they visited Australia to Tour.
Some also came to Australia to Record their albums and would hire the Band for some Sessional work.
I have seen the The John Fanham Band credits in some very strange places with other bands and musicans that I wouldnt of thought had anything to do with them.

Whenever reacting to Australian groups and artists, always watch live; the energy that they put into their performance, is the next level. One thing you will notice with John, is that he always has a smile on his face; he gets a buzz out of performing, especially interacting with his fans. A true gentleman and consummate entertainer.

John always knew how to put on a show.and is a living Legend in Australia.
Putting his regular band together with a symphony orchestra was just genius. This particular concert was spectacular. He used orchestras during a few of his tours over the years. . But he didn't really need them to make himself sound good, he has always been one of the best live singers in the world.
His regular band included the cream of Australian musicians, most of who have worked with him for decades. His average line up included around 10 musicians and back up vocalists on stage with him most of the time.
People like Tommy Emmanuel, Brett Garsed, Venetta Fields, Irwin Thomas (Jack Jones), Phil Buckle, Wayne Nelson, who are also famous in their own right.
Johns musical director who was also the keys in the band, was the one who directed the concert and coordinated the band and the orchestra. He also also famous as a musical director of several movies and musical theater .
All of his concerts sold out huge arenas over and over again. Je is in his 70's now, and was still singing until recently with the same power and in the same key as he did when younger.
    ❤❤
You should check out some of his performances with out the orchestra...just to see how good both he and his band are.. check out All Our Sons and Daughters

I wouldn’t believe this from too many people, but John I do. The story John tells of the kiss is that he's always wary of being pulled into the audience. She had his hand and he kissed her to get closer to get balance and release his hand. You can believe or not, up to you.

John Farnham is Australia's, if not the world's, GOAT ! He sings in over twenty genres from this super energetic rock head - banger to gentle ballads and just about everything in between. His amazing gymnastic, big vocal range and ability allow him to do this. John is a consummate, charismatic showman. He is very well-respected and well- loved by his fans, bands and others in the music profession, as he has had a six decade music career, top singles, albums and many sellout concerts and media work.. Please get to know him better by choosing from the many other videos of him on You Tube. Aussies will love that !

There is so much awesome talent in Australia, and If you haven't seen it yet, Kasey Chambers live performance of Eminem's Lose yourself will blow your brain. Easily the best live performance of a cover I've ever seen, and if you think John was working hard, Kasey kills it. She is unbelievably bad ass, but you have to wait for it. :)

You should check out John doing”let me out” live, epic guitar solo from Brett in that. John has a penchant to play around with the microphone stand. If you react to John singing his signature song "You're The Voice" from his concert with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra; watch out for him tossing the mic-stand into the air, before catching and throwing it across the stage. NOTE: No microphones were injured during this performance.
