It could cause the head pressure to rise upwards of 500 PSIG

look out for black strainer screens when opening the system. especially when replacing txv thats where they are commonly installed.

Keep some carb cleaner in the truck to blast your screens
Are screens only in aluminum cois? Or on txv's that have flared fittings?

Screens are in most copper and aluminum coils as protection for the debris that could enter the txv and cause it to stick.
Depends on if the person that installed the txv put the screen in
Costing customer alot of money ???seems if you stripped it ,it would ve comming out of your pocket?
Is it safe to run it without a screen?
