“No point pulling your plums out for no reason” - I think I am going to get that printed on to a t-shirt!
“No point getting your plums out…….” Another Chris classic 🤣🤣🤣🤣. That looks a lovely repair lads. Should be a great series.
Knocking your plumbs out old but gold 👍
Rob we need a compilation video of Chris tit bit sayings 😂😂
That seller listed a better looking part to sell the crap one in my opinion, then has the cheek to try and get another £50 for the light!, Cheeky bugger.
When that tailgate came minus the lights I'd have told them to take it away & refund the money. You can't charge for one thing then deliver another, imho.
There's a reason they had a 96% feedback!
“It’s had a fair knock but, until we get the bumper off we don’t know how bad it is” Chris says calmly 😂the bloke is a legend, nothing fazes him at all!!!
Just love Chris's skeleton key for the tailgate! Chris looked at home in that Rob, hmmm! What a car it will be when finished...Thanks guys.
I think Synetiq should honour the original purchase in that they should supply the parts that would have been included in the other tailgate.
Don't understand why people go mad about these A-Classes, seems like every chav and dealer under the sun drives one. Nothin special at all.
Never bother with their small cars.
Mercedes not what they once were..
@@static-audio in that case, hopefully, it wont be full of rust in 5 years time.
@@iamyourfuture808 it almost definitely will be almost scrap in no time
PCP, simple.
Any EBay seller with less that 98% Positive feedback, you have to wonder, case in point here.
Did that tailgate with the lights etc really get damaged in transit? Or did they realise they undersold it so told you it was damaged?.. Then to send you a replacement and then ask extra for the lights?.. Do hope you don't use them again..
Hi chris and rob that boot lid you ordered is the usual stint of some these recycling centres pull by showing you a complete and then give you a totally different one... with some excuse in your case it was damaged so why did they not get in touch and show you (maybe chris could have repaired it after seeing it).... why did they not take the lights off the damaged one and send separately... reason they did not have that one there in stock in first place....i would definitely ask for a rebate as you were supplied not as described.....onwards and upwards boys looking forward to the next episode of this motor as per usual ....can i say please dont have the camera so far away from shot as you cant see the nitty gritty of the parts your describing 👍
I’m working on it
That was very naughty or sneaky of the tailgate supplier to "supply a different one because the more complete one got damaged" but was partly stripped! I reckon you should have at least been contacted first and been given the chance to look elsewhere.
I’m working on it 👍
Chris is chomping at the bit to get a start. The man is a legend in my eyes! Great video as always lads!
Car vertical is really expensive but ok if you get free credits off them tho…..thats why he bigs them up so much.
Cheaper and better companies out there
Your first comment on the channel
@@acorndogs904 so who cares….oh you do
The tailgate ebay guys done you dirty, shame people like that take the mickey. Cars coming on nice though
You bought back lights, you're owed back lights - simple as.
I admire your patience and lack of negativity, because I’d have prattled on about that boot way more than you did and that’d been wrong, you just apprised us of the facts and your experience. After thinking about it for a while I understand why, it’s because there’s a good chance you may have to deal with them again, and best not to burn bridges. Your attitude is spot on, you let it go and moved on, because otherwise it’d have impact on the content of this video and I know you guys are all about spreading positivity. Good on ya
SINETIQly Shafted
Took 10 days for them to source another. Bandits
I don't think I'd of been as polite over the tailgate incident, but I guess you might use the company again at some point. This car should be a great turnaround for you two.
I had a rear end collision in 1993 with my 1986 Ford Orion and it was a write off, the car behind ended up in my boot at only 20 MPH! amazing how car protection and technology has come along.
I think they should be revising that boot lid price to 100 quid , no lights , wiring cut and damage to paint work that you need to fix and took ages to come.
Offered me £60
I would dispute the fact that you bought a tailgate with lights etc and they sent you a second one without at the same price, they say the other tailgate got damaged, no problem, but they could of taken the lights out of it and sent them along with this other tailgate. why should you have to search again and then pay further amounts for another set of lights.
As I said in the video bud I’m sorting it out 👍
I think your channels fast becoming my favourite CZcams go to.... Just really nice seeing honest people doing honest work.
You need to change the tail gate badge the tail gate you have put on is a 250 the car is a 220
🤦🏻♂️
The dream team in perfect synchronisation! 2 best mates doing what they do best, and with a passion for cars. Lovely car lads. Should be a cracker.
Surely guys, if the ebay advert for the boot lid included rear lights etc, they have contravened the ad and, should replace what didn't arrive or, return some money.
Yea that’s right. They can’t sell something and swap it for a worse one and then tell you it’s going to be more money for the extra parts you were supposed to get to begin with.
I’m working on it
Thats insane, you paid for the boot in colour with both lights and intact loom and they want 50 quid now for a single light 😂
That hedge @ 30 secs is a treat!!
Guess that explains their 96.5% feedback then. Hope you get that light you ordered Rob as that's a bit cheeky of them to send an alternative that's not as good as what was pictured. Looking at their feedback history is a shocking read of poor customer service. Anyway, look forward to seeing you boys getting this back on the road. I'm sure Chris will have that bodywork straight in no time!
They shouldn’t get away with sending you that when you clearly bought one with the lights in it. I’d tell them to stick it up their you know what if they told me it’s an extra £50 for the lights which you were supposed to get in the first place. Anyways it’s a lovely car
it good how Chris thinks about your safety Rob good team work
You were shafted by that E bay seller, it's happened to me so many times I won't use E Bay again
Not great customer service from Synetiq…they probably realised that the original complete with lights was way too cheap …
Great point🤔
That you get many of your vehicles directly from the owners saves a lot of hassle and auction fees, more profit for you. You 2 seem to have a knack to pick cars you can fix and make out good in the end. By the time you get done, it will be a excellent care for the future owner.
£50 sheets for a 10 day delivery with parts missing and the wrong colour- I hope they sorted you lads.
They certainly deserve negative feedback.
Over 97000 feedback ratings for that parts company and under 96% positive feedback. I’ll avoid those chancers thank you
I think they tried to milk you guys, especially trying to charge extra for the lights, don't use them again guys
I would have said if they damaged it send both boot lids shocking treatment
Doesn’t help when u buy from an obvious chop shop
Guys don’t forget after paint on the boot lid, the badges from the replacement boot don’t match the originals. A220d - A250e if I’m not mistaken. Great video as always.
Always great work on restoration of cars great team work,Chris is one of the best in the business great salvage work guys brilliant video 👍😎😎
That tailgate should have been returned. There is no way you should pay the same amount as the one in the pics. Bet that same picture will be up again when they have a new shoddy one to pass off.
Very nice car i think the interior is the best in class that what makes the a class so good
I've been watching you channel for years now and I just want to say... its the best car channel on CZcams 💯👍🏻👍🏻
I Guess I know what breaker I won't be using if I want to get what I ordered.
I do like the A Class, but don’t forget it isn’t German. It is built in Finland. In fact the factory produced the original Porsche Boxter! There’s some pub trivia for you 👍
Poor service by the company you used to purchase the boot lid. Personally would have gotten a refund back. However, Great work by yourselves as usual👍👍
Loving the new style videos with the commentary - much more interesting
Pulling your plums out 😂😂 haven’t heard that for years 😂😂 another great episode chaps 👍
Could be new Tee shirt merch
Much better to get a car thats been rear ended instead of a hit from the front another great jobs lads
It's annoying when what you get is not what was promised, but like you said Rob you've just got to get on with it.
Thanks Chris and Rob - very enjoyable content - I like these assessment, planning; and parts acquisition stages. Cheers
I would love that little mini camper bus at other side of fence! Beautiful little thing
That job is right up Chris,'s Street he so happy and you can hear Rob's excitement in his voice really looking forward to the next one
Well done guy's can't wait 👏 👍
The sound was absolutely okay at the end, so no worries there. A nice project, you know how I like any amount of structural pulling 😂
Cracking motor guys. Specifically liked Chris on the tailgate opener.
Really like it when you guys are just chatting through what you need for the build, like your old stuff.
Looks aload better already with just the tailgate fitted. Those scratches probably where synetiq store it on the concrete floor
Knew the tailgate was TGTBT
Merc one of the few markers left who provide a proper spares service that's not totally devoted to maximum profit.
Good evening Rob & Chris. Like you said Rob a lovely bit of salvage 😊 Your channel is so magical you just don’t know what’s coming next lol 😆
I love how Chris brings in the big guns. Cant beat a pivot steer for lifting. Great helf and safety from Chris👌👌❤️
This again shows up issues with reclaimers selling on e bay. How many times have we heard of the wrong component or even no component being delivered. Very little we can do apart from keep highlighting these issues. Great video as usual boys.
Great video guys , nice bit of salvage , good luck 👍👍👍👍👍
Great video lads. Liking the talk over by Rob during the Timelapse and also Chris old photos on his Instagram of vehicles he’s repaired in the past.
Now you know why those ebay scammers only have a 96.5% feedback rating
Such a load of specialist knowledge. Never had one of these in your hands before and you have a really good idea of how to deal with it. Very impressive.
Bought an A class for the wife, we drove from Manchester to Kent and it averaged 79 miles to the gallon.❤
The loose change hunt always is the highlight of my day 😢. Nevermind, enjoyed the video anyway. 😉👍🏻
That's a lovely motor Lads, when I first saw the damage I thought the legs would have been bent, but pleasantly surprised to see they weren't,a right bummer about the tailgate, bad business that, looking forward to the repair process!👍🇮🇪
I like your approach to assessing the damage to the car guy's. Good example of how to for anyone attempting a repair job. Well done guy's. Big thumb's up.
Another great bit of salvage
Guys I love watching your channel. Greetings from Poland
You were ripped off over that tailgate. What you ordered was undamaged and had rear lights. What you got even had cut wiring. In my experience, sad to say, this is not untypical of some breakers yards. They probably sold the other one to someone else for more money then bought in the one they sent you. Hence the 10 day delay! I have to say that, in your shoes, I would send it back!
Must say, 2 very nice gentlemen, some garages should take a leaf of yer book, ye so nice to each other and everything, congrats and continued success on the channel!
Thanks guys I'm learning heaps great videos
Looking forward to seing this one done guys we’ll done love it 👊🏻👊🏻
Very nice car, and project. Really looking forward to the next one! Thanks guys
Beauty, look forward to the numbers on this
Top work as always guys
Always great to watch you guy's, thanks :)
Great video Rob & Chris, the voice over is working a treat 👍
no farting or swearing in a garage/work shop….. no such thing 😄
wow, such an organised unit too, loving the tool room
Lookkng forward to seeing the result! Great video as always guys!
It’s amazing work you guys do. Fascinating as always and joy to watch and learn.
Nice bit of salvage 👍, masters at work again 👍
Great Show love watching a Man of Kent now living in Devon
another cracking video guys can't wait to see the end result of that lovely motor can't wait to see what's next on the channel. Keep them coming guys👍👍👍💯💯💯
Another great video guys 👍
Synetiq just mugged themselves off with that attitude, disgusting service.
Nice work gentlemen as always, and very interesting too. Thank you for sharing.
What a nice car, not to much damage. Looking forward to seeing the next video.
Another peach of salvage !
However I've also came a croper buying parts and subsequently, other being sent....
That tailgate u been sent will need repaired and painted not to mention lamps! Should have reimbursed you or supplied lamps to say they want an addition £50 is embarrassing.....don't let it rest guys
Rant over, looking forward to this, a very quick flip indeed makes u wonder once again why insurance companies are so willing to make these cars uneconomical repairs? Has any one else noticed if cars are bought straight from owner they come with car less other body damage ? Just saying lol look forward to the next update lads, all the best
Synetiq were a bit synthetic with the old tailgate, shown with lights etc then they see a moody one with no lights that looks like it's been stored and handled by one of our favourite parcel carriers who Damage, Hold or Loose
Will look amazing Rob when done!
Great buy ! :D
Completely standard for Synetiq. I refuse to deal with them and their shocking attitude to their customers
Brilliant video Rob and Chris two guys of your calibre easy repair well done guys love the channel and the work you do ❤
Can't wait to see it finish guys I'm sure you'll do a cracking job on it like always. Love the videos 👍
Another great video can’t wait to see the finished product ❤
Chris’s next motor 😂
Looks like fun guys. On the surface of it it really looks a quite simple repair. Let's hope it stays that way. Do we have to call you Mr Rob and Mr Chris now you have decided to move into up market cars? Best of luck on this one. Cheers, Bob
Fantastic video as always both of you!! Thank you very much!! What a stunning car!! 👌
Sweet little number guys, can't wait for the next video on this one!. 👍
Great video guys 😃😃👍👍
