Your reviews are always so good and quite interesting too. You don’t just review the fragrance, you tell a story of each one as well. Personal stories or perhaps a history of a particular fragrance. Each one has a tale to tell and you translate them perfectly - Well done, Joy. I’m a real fan of Platinum Egoiste, great juice. Never had the chance to try YSL’s Rive Gauche but I understand that the Chanel comes pretty close to capturing it. And you’re correct - Platinum Egoiste behaves differently in the cold! The aromatic herbs come to the front in the chilly temperatures.

Allure Homme Sport has been my favorite too, it is so good i have to hold myself top not use everyday
Chanel is such a great house, like Dior, where it's very difficult to pick what my favorites are because so many are great. If I picked my top 3 from all of the ones I own though, I'd have to go 1. Platinum Egoiste, 2. Allure Homme, 3. Allure Homme Sport.
Just a great house that always exhibits class, and also they don't get enough credit for keeping their fragrances around and smelling really great, they haven't discontinued hardly any of their fragrances. That's so valuable when houses like YSL and Gucci just discontinue pretty much everything, but Chanel stays committed to their products and that's probably also because they're so successful that everything they've ever made has been a top seller.
Homme sport can wear in colder months. Platinum egoiste better than green irish tweed unique and winter
Sounds like you're a Chanel fan boy, me too, but our taste is quite a bit different. I will say that my journey towards finally purchasing AHS was similar to yours after some 15 years of not liking it. However unlike you I still do not rank it as high though I have come to enjoy it very much. Here's my ranking(I'm including also two fragrances from their exclusif line):
1. AHEB
2. PE
3. Sycomore (Ex)
4. AHSC
5. B(EDT)
6. B(EDP)
7. B(P)
8. AHS
9. AHSEE
10. Eau de Cologne (Ex)
I own the above and think are the best from Chanel, most of which are ranked in the top half of my collection(except for the last three which are in the 3rd quartile while AHEB and PE are in my top 10). Of the remaining four which I do not own and therefore do not think are collection worthy, I rank as follows:

I am extremely selective and I only include fragrances in my collection(~120) if I think they are exceptional and I thoroughly enjoy them. So even the lowest ranked fragrance is still highly valued and appreciated. If it is not any more for whatever reason I remove it from my collection(sell, give, or use as a room fragrance).

Nice list. Sorry to spoil your statement, but in Europe you can buy Chanel and Dior at discounters. The designer lineup from Chanel is usually 10-20% cheaper vs. retail, while the Dior main line is usually 20-30% cheaper vs. retail. Cheers!

I enjoy niche fragrances more so now then desingers cause i enjoy the unique scents and stuff, but man Chanels Allure line especially the sport ones will always be amazing to me easily my most complimented fragrance Ill always have a bottle of them so good
Hi Joy, can you compare Jaques Bogart Silver scent Midnight with invictus legend? I just bought JB and I previously owned invictus legend and I think they smell similar. If its true then people can have a cheaper option to Invictus legend.

I absolutely agree with Platinum Egoiste! Wonderful in sommer but also in winter in a very different way. Amazing scent, suprisingly versatile, so underrated.
To everyone who has not tried this: don't think it's too mature, give it a chance. I started wearing this in my mid 20s and have received so many compliemts.
