1975 76 Mt Holdsworth Tramping Trip

This Double Family Trip of 12, takes us into the Tararua Ranges, west of Masterton.
After Driving from Palmerston North, we parked the cars at the Holdsworth Lodge carpark and walked through to Donnellys Flat for our first night under 'canvas'.
The next day we were to have lunch at Mountain House and proceed to Powell Hut. Unfortunately, I had been overly optimistic and lunch was eaten well before Mountain House.
I remember having to sleep on the floor at Mountain House, it was well padded with brush, so slept quite well.
I'm not sure if there were any bunks, or whether all 12 of us slept on the floor.
