- just to clarify some things:
For the "m1s needed to acquire ultimate" parts, I only did the first 2 m1s, just so it was extremely easy to calculate, (3% + 3%, Instead of 3% + 3% + 4%.(as the third M1 does 4% damage instead of 3%)).
I also did Fairly deep testing on every move, so hopefully everything stated in this video is accurate. (if you find something inaccurate, please point it out in the comments.(thank you!))

How to counter:
Straight On: block or attack
Carnage: dodge
Fourfold Flash: dodge
Twinblade Rush: *pray*
If they are even decent there gonna hit every twin blade rush that’s more then enough to kill you and straight on if you don’t cancel it it’s free damage even if they block
Btw heres a tip: if they do twinblade rush you can use tatsumakis (if u have early access) 4th move to fly up in the air and dodge the attack, just pray that they dont hit you while in the startup
Console players:
Bro you can counter twinblade rush by using Quick slices (atomic samurai) because you go back and let a barrage of slices in front of you which can counter twinblade rush but the downside is that you have to predict when they are going to use it, and if sonic user is is close or have better network then consider yourself death💀

The genos passive is what makes genos good, bc i think that was the only passive that works in ult

Tbh in my opinion,the true rating is(passive and awakening included):
1.Genos(High damage,not easy to dodge,no cd after killing💀)
2.Tatsumaki(lets be fr)
3.Saitama"(Death counter and table flip is too OP but if youre careful u can dodge it)
4.Sonic(1st skill and side dash goes crazy)
4.Atomic samurai(The awakening and second skill is the only reason i put it this high)
5.Garou(Need high skill,once u miss the 4th skill its already bad for u,but once u got someone hes dead)
6.Metal bat(Easy to dodge,just too easy)
I think it goes this way:
1 - Tatsumaki - great activation, all her moves are easier to land than other ultimates on average (besides Sonic - 1) and she is broken even without her awakening, which is also incredibly easy to land any of her moves which makes her a character even more annoying than Sonic.
(Her passive is also pretty annoying).
2 - Genos - his awakening is a weird soup, hot in the top and cold in the bottom, he has 2 really good moves, but also 2 very unreliable ones (incinerate and flamewave cannon makes you vulnerable). His basekit is very powerful because of how tricky his moveset is, and his learning curve is one of the best.
He has 3 passives (the highest amount ingame), burning, damaging ragdoll cancel and skill recharge, which makes him even stronger.
3 - Saitama - honestly, his only weakness is Sonic, he is one of the characters that you'll certainly lose half of your hp when he touches you. His passive is also the second best ingame by having the smallest awakening bar ingame.
4 - Garou - all his combo extenders are EXTREMELY reliant on ping and tricky movements, making him the most inconsistent character in the game, but the fact that he is the character with biggest combo capacity makes up for it, his speed is great and he has the worst awakening overall.
By the way, he also has the strongest passive ingame, being able to lifesteal quarters of his hp bar with only 1 move.
5 - Atomic Samurai - he is a jack-of-all-trades character, does many things, but isn't really the best, his awakening moves are a combination of cool and weird choices, he is pretty difficult to counterplay. I don't feel like i need to go deep on this one.
His passive is pretty good btw.
6 - Sonic - great for farming kills, not the best for 1v1s and good against ganks. Being so fast has those advantages, he also has the most annoying awakening move in the game and he can just run when things go wrong.
he has the worst passive in the game.
7 - Metal Bat - this character is the worst, don't get me wrong, he isn't bad but his basekit doesn't compare to the others. His m1s are sluggish, not good for crowds, and his awakening has terrible moves in comparison to others.
I think the worst ultimate is garou

Frankly, garou doesn't belong as high as it was put on this list. I can see putting it as a middle-tier ultimate when you really look at some of the others and realize garou isn't as worse compared to them as most people think, but putting it above stuff like metal bat that is literally just a "run for your life and try to out-last them" below garou which is a LOT easier to counter is just wrong.

Tbh. Tatsumaki kind of deserves to be lower in the list as u gotta be close to ppl. And they can ragdol cancel both terrible tornado and the first move.

6th prob goes atomic atomic is good and combo very well each move but its just easily countered but its good

4th tatsumaki its like the same lvl of genos but the moves are just easy to land if u know and if they doesn have ragdoll there over

My personal list (been here since the garou update)
7. Atomic samurai (you are almost never gonna but atomic slash and it’s easy to escape his moves unless it’s his second one)
6. Genos (easy to dodge but general hits deal major damage. And incinerate is a nuke)
5. Sonic (only twin blade is hard to dodge. The rest are easy dodge but twin blade is the easiest hit)
4. Tatsumaki (meteor isn’t that hard to hit but the hand doesn’t deal major damage and her third move is easily blocked. But if you really land any of these moves they deal MAJOR damage)
3. Metal bat (he has a one shot counter, hardest ult to dodge by far with 3 rush down moves. And he also had major damage)
2. Saitama (all 4 of his moves can be one shots but they get rid of his ult instantly and it’s easy to bait)
1. Garou (the ONLY ult to have you lose if you get hit ONCE)

Idk why people put Garo's ult that high like it's garbage : IT'S THE ONLY ULT TO HAVE 3 NONE RANGED ABILITIES, the damage is mid, there is no AOE dmg (That's why Atomic Samurai, Genos and Tatsumaki are better than they seem) and they can all get counter (except final hunt ofc) Oh yeah and ofc you can just run from it and the ult would be done like the basic moveset is way better
Sonic I can Agree (BY FAR) : you forgot the point that with his ult he has like 20 free dashes sooo even when he's low he can just escape the combat in 2s
Genos MUST BE HIGHER : yeah the abilities are hard to hit but when you get a kill you get the 1st and 2nd ability back making it a "Genos"ide (haha soo funny I made everyone laugh) when you got a group of people to fight
Saitama is weird cuz people keep placing him top 1 (Ik that you didn't put it top one but I'm talking to people in general) : you can just no attack the first ability, 2nd can be escaped easy and the 3/4 if you don't use your evasive he will never get you with it
if I had to rank : 7th Garo, 6th Saitama, 5th Atomic Samurai, 4th Genos, 3rd Tatsumaki (the new version ofc), 2nd Metal bat and 1st Sonic
i see alot of people underestimating saitama ult, i always just use their ragdoll then pop ult Infront of them and then they start panicking so i just forward dash and i win. they always start running and that means they aren't blocking soooo free kill lol.
The worst to best:
Genos (You get punished if they dodge your 1 or 3, missing the 2nd move looks kinda funny from the 3rd person ngl)
Garou (Only has abilities for close combat, still has his 2nd skil tho)
Tatsumaki (Actually not that bad, can't put her any higher tho)

Tbh I think saitamas ult is mid obviously it has the best moves but when u think about it u can dodge Omni if u have rag doll table flip is basically easily escapable serious punch is kinda just a nuke pretty good and death counter could help you but if someone watches u use ult then they use normal moves for some reason you just don’t attack them or just literally run from them then u basically don’t die

The funny thing is, when you use awakening on atomic samurai, the AOE was so large it basically covered most of the whole map. Sadly it had to get nerfed
One of the reasons that the awakening had such a large AoE is because during the time, Atomic Samurai was an early-access character and only had Sunset. Even now, your chances of actually landing it on a decent player is 0. However, it does high damage and also goes through some I-frames.

You mentioned his passive and ignored every other character passive :/ I feel like genos should be higher on the list then. Because he can REALLY spam 1 and 2 causing chaos like crazy. 3rd and 4th rl are in case you’re in trouble. Like emergency move or Iframe protection/bait. Honestly you rated sonic way too high. Samurai second skill is just as good if not better.

I see a lot of controversy about Garou's ultimate, but here are the main arguments for it:
Pros:
- The awakening goes through I-frames (When people say I-frames for moves that break them, they usually do not include Saitama ultimate moves [Excluding Death Counter, except when landed] or awakenings, which have I-frames that are indestructible
- Catch an opponent and you get an automatic kill (As long as you have The Final Hunt)
- The Final Hunt goes through I-frames, counters, and Psychic Barrier
- Speed boost to help catch runners
Cons:
- The awakening can be escaped if you use it raw and your opponent has a brain
- Easiest ultimate to run from
- A good player can fight back
- Almost every move can be stopped with a base counter (Prey's Peril and Split-Second Counter)
Overall, I would actually consider it to be the best ultimate in the game, not because of the abilities, but because of the bigger picture. The ultimate is not braindead like Metal Bat's where you can spam moves as a 10-kill bot and still get kills, you have to actually be decent at the game to use it properly. I actually find it to be the only balanced ultimate in the game (Maybe Genos has a balanced ultimate too, but I am shaky on this opinion). It has the drawbacks of a base moveset (Almost everything can be countered [Figuratively and literally] and/or punished), but also has the benefits of an ultimate (Insane damage and has moves that can break I-frames). This ultimate also has been with us and is a major part of the game, as Garou is the most common character in the game (By statistics). So, is this really a good or bad ultimate? Or are we just not thinking about the other things that make it so important?

Here’s my personal ranking
7 - Saitama, it’s one chance to use a move, it doesn’t help you win, you just get to nuke the server (which imo isn’t that good)
6 - Garou, the startup is really good, but the entire ult depends on if you hit Final Hunt.
5 - Tatsumaki, once again, the entire move depends on a singular move, however, Terrible Tornado does 95% of the damage, along with every other move being AoE. Also the startup is godly.
4 - Genos, It’s easy to change the tides of a match with Genos’s ult considering Incinerate nukes the server, and if you land it correctly, you also get 80% damage free, along with every other move being a good combo.
3 - Atomic Samurai, you have two cutscene moves, both doing good damage and the other moves are really good too, if someone runs away, you can just chase them down.
2 - Metal Bat, this ult has been nerfed to oblivion but overall this guy is still broken, Savage Tornado syncs with Brutal Beatdown, and Brutal Beatdown syncs with Savage Tornado, it’s also not that hard to land Death Blow, and even if you miss, you get a free AoE attack anyways, and Strength Difference is overall the move that sells Metal Bat’s ult, it’s so easy to catch someone with it, and lead it into the infinite combo of Savage Tornado and Brutal Beatdown.
1 - Speed O’ Sound Sonic, this guy has a quick run with good damage, a literal explosion AoE, a combo extender, and the ability to run away and come back, all of Sonic’s ult moves benefit you and you only, and the startup comes out really quickly.
