In this Video we attend @wbsons9956 WB & Sons Classic Car auction in Newcastle.
We set ourselves a budget but ended up buying the cheapest car there.
Had a ton of fun filming this video and would like to thank everyone at WB & Sons for a great day.

That Triumph Acclaim would have been very sad. The Starlet looks good from a distance. I am looking forward to the next video to see how good or bad it is.
Thanks for watching and for commenting.. Well we have messed up a little. Done all the work to the Starlet and didn't film any of it. We really thought that nobody would be interested... how wrong we were.
We fitted a full new exhaust, new battery and clamp, wax oiled the under side of the car and washed and polished the full car. Passed its mot and its now got a new owner. Was a cracking little car. We will definitely return to the auction.

The classic Fords like the XR2, XR3I RS Turbo etc are the ones to be buying now, the price has blown up and will continue for all those wishing to buy a piece of their youth again. Gone are the days of buying an XR2 for a couple hundred quid, if only I'd kept all the rides I'd bought back in the 90's..
We could not agree more. Old and classic Fords are so popular. We still remember the days when these kinds of cars were cheap...
We think the same about some of the Cars we sold back in the day..

It’s a lovely colour..green and rust 😂 In all fairness, for that money it was for nothing.. whatever it throws up I think you’ll be able to handle it!
I do like a green car to be honest. Having said that this needs a bloody good polish 😆
I think it will make a nice little car and if we can get it through an MOT with hopefully little work will be a very cheap car for someone.
Really enjoyed the vid - it would be nice to see a few shots of the finished result for the Starlet and what you clear as profit when you sell it on. Cheers.
Hello, thanks for watching and for commenting. Kicking ourselves now. We done some nice jobs on it. Got it through an MOT and just recently sold it. We honestly didn't think anyone would be interested. But have had plenty of response and interest. Lesson learned. We will return there. So definitely next time.
Car cost us £270 including auction fees.
£140 for full exhaust. £45 for battery. £35 for wax oiled £50 for mot. Wash and machine polished the full car. Removed all seat covers and wet vacuuming the seats and carpets.
We sold the Car for £900

Yes we are super happy with it. Got it home and made a list for what it needs.
Exhaust mid section and back box, battery and just a bloody good clean. Interior is near perfect. Seat covers have really preserved the seats. Try and do something with the alloys and it's ready to go.

Cool video of this auction!!! Loads of nice motors.Could you slow the filming down, inside. How many shots did you have in those coffee's, hehe? How you managed to get that starlet for 180 is amazing . Starlets cost 800, 1000 down South, well jel nippy little cars.

Really enjoyed the enthusiasm, takes me back to going to car auctions as a kid. Very watchable, Down to earth and your know your stuff.Exhaust upgrade,any more power, what does it sound like?. Are you keeping it? I like those starlets and 3 door corolla, quite simple, light n balanced.
@Paul King we kept it standard. Full new exhaust, sorted our rear brakes, new battery and clamp. Sold it with 12 months MOT the same day as advertising!

My plan for the car if I let myself bid on it was k20 swap sleeper 😂 but I didn’t let myself come to the auction

Thought for one minute you’d bought that god awful drift Mercedes, lol. Was at the preview the week before you and looked at that acclaim as well and the 7 series
