Making a living off an app is a choice. Putting half your life into an app, is a choice. No one forced these people to rely so heavily on an app.
Ban it and move on already before our country is full of dummies with a 12 second attention span.
1/3 kids these days want to be an influencer when they grow up. If that isn't the saddest and scariest wake up call, i don't know what is.
Using an app is a choice. If you don't believe in choice, you don't believe in America.
it's truly sad. i've tested this will multiple accounts. literally, the type of content that got the most views out of all my content was intentionally short and dumbed down content. anything wholesome which required thought wasn't going viral. it's truly amazing how much stupidity and cancer humans can fill up a server with.

You do know another Company will replace it and CZcams and Facebook has Short Vids and the reason they want to Ban it is because they trying to force them to sell it to a Company in USA to control Info and Political views
Please get rid of this app. It has somehow even made my parents iPad babies and so many around me. It’s a little bit scary.

Regardless of the TikTok ban, the first rule of ANY business is to have multiple income streams (or in this case, social media platforms), in case one fails. Having several fail safes in place ensures continuation of the business. People just think TikTok is the holy grail of social media and it’s not.

You know what I would do differently if they banned tick tack? Nothing because I don't use it...but if this is bad for "influencers" then sorry, but I see that as a good thing.
I don't use it either, but I also recognize that it's un-American to try and dictate the lifestyle choices if my fellow citizens.

for me, i got upset because i saw this as an attack on free speech, so i tried tiktok. after making a few accounts attempting to understand why my videos would get 2-700 views over the first day then my profile falls flat dead on it's face 3 days later, and being told by the same guy on every platform that my content just isn't good, and comparing my content to a sea of unintelligent neurotypical short-form cancer, i determined that this platform is absolute trash and now I could really care less what happens to it.

It has to do with America losing out on the sales of information that META creates for them. More Americans are using tiktok because their algorithm works in favor of the creator, not the advertisement side of TikTok. You can't make it on any platform in America unless you pay for reach or you were lucky enough to be born looking like a goddess. TikTok gives everybody a fair shot at success.

I really want to be empathetic, but this lady is representing the people in her position poorly.
Yeah, it kinda sucks, but that's what we get for relying on web2.0 platform-based structures for outreach. I've been burned before too - this is nothing new. It comes with the territory, which is why I highly advise people to start actually buying domains and webhosting. You need a 'home base' when the platform host companies eventually become inoperable, dry up, or go under. Or even if they choose to ban you outright. You're at the full mercy of the platform.
Keep backups of your videos, keep backups of your captions, listings, reviews, etcetera... because you need to be ready to jump ship when things go awry.
So what is it? I really want to be empathetic but this bot is representing AI poorly, lol.
Too little too delayed & too late to save all the children who brains have been damaged for decades by silicon valley and their ad policys.

Tik tok does more harm than good, it spreads misinformation, hate speech, etc…if you based your whole life on an app you need to rethink your life choices.
TT isn't perfect, but Twitter is actually worse and there are entire sites literally dedicated to hate speech(Gab, Rumble, Bitchute, etc.), that arguably should have been shut down *YEARS* ago, but haven't been.
