ax-lightness has the Vial evo XC at 6,9kg witch is the lightest build they can do, being more or less the lightess hardtail I've seen and with all ax-lightness parts except for the groupset and the fork
If on a budget you must check the rockrider xc 940 ltd or even the xc900 hardtail
That bike I think was under priced and now that it is back in stock it's £400 more expensive 😭
It's getting to the point where many manufacturers are putting durability and stiffness above light weight which makes sense the modern xc course is pretty technical and you need to have a durable stiff and relatively light bike
You needed to see the opencycle one+ frame
Ive specced a 6.5kg XC bike using all aftermarket parts based on the Radon Jealous frame set for under £6000.
760 to 790 grams? Really? I bought 2020 sworks epic ht small frame last monday and it weighs 917 grams with axle. Do you think specialized would replace my frame? Haha

I'd rather a 10kg bike than a 8.5kg (MTB). Less twitchy and possibly a stronger less stiff, more comfy frame.
