I used the Coleman Airxcel 9430-3382 thermostat: amzn.to/4311YWd
It's a heat / cool thermostat and controls the furnace and A/C in my RV.

Nice video, but I wish you had shown the actual installation of the wires. I know you tried after the wires were attached but that step would have been helpful. Otherwise, I have the same project I need to do and have ordered the new thermostat. This will be a helpful tutorial.

Where is the room air temperature sensor located in this thermostat ? is it internal ? thanks
Yes. it's inside. All thermostats I've ever seen have their temp sensor internally.

Great video! How did you insert the wire into the new thermostat(I know they're colored)? Did you push the new tab so the wire can get in and release the tab? Thanks!
I pushed in the release button (tab) and held it in then inserted the wire.
When you were explaining the functions of it it looked loose on the wall?
Nice upgrade but don't like having to toggle through all the 'cooling' settings to get to the heat option, will look for one that has switches instead.
I didn't have it fully attached to the wall. I also dislike having to scroll through all the cooling options to get to the heat.

Where can you get JUST the spacer bar and tabs?? My thermostat still works fine, but was knocked off the wall and the two little grommets broke off. According to all I have called, have to buy the WHOLE thermostat. There has to be a source or work around for those parts.
I'd recommend trying to find screw with a head small enough to fit through the hole, but big enough that it locks the T-stat in place in the slot on the back of the T-stat.

I also have a truck camper a 2005 in your marker light upgrade which I just ordered 2 red and 2 ambers to get me going. My question is where did you get your stainless screws?

i have the same Thermostat but mine is set on celsius i can't get it to change to fahrenheit
Instructions say to hold the MODE button for 5 seconds to switch between degrees C and F
Why didn't you just unscrew the wires off the old thermostat? Then your remaining wires would not be so short as they exit the wall.
The wires weren't screwed on to the old thermostat, they are soldered in and crimped to the trailer wiring harness.

There is no soft leather wall covering here.
