Did 4 years as a mold-setter (easily the most dangerous job I've ever done in 40 yrs+ of working) and a production supervisor in an injection molding factory. Will never step foot in one again. Extremely hot environment due to the barrel temps. on the machines, lots of potentially dangerous situations to navigate (molding department). If you're in finishing or quality, the work is meticulous & boring. I've also done time in those hot, dusty carpet mills in the South, plus about 10 yrs. in an automotive machine shop. Machine shops are hazardous also, but injection molding is the king of dangerous, hot factory work. This video is definitely sugar-coating the real experience. Guaranteed before they were going through the shop floor with cameras, all the workers had been forewarned days ahead of time and the factory had been scrubbed clean by orders of management. We used to do the same thing when Nissan, BMW, or GM was visiting our factory. It was all for show, in order to procure additional projects. Once they left the floor, it was business as usual. Nature of the business.

I don't understand it especially because Chinese culture traditionally values health, so you would think they would be proactive to protect their bodies.
