People don't realize that.. The Queen.. The music.. The fashion... The dancing...the haircuts... Was revolutionary... Till this day.. Real classic
Was till she Lied Queens have Kings not other queens
@@djstatzCry.
@@Jay26x seems u crying.. trying to make a point off nothing..u weak all the way round for that
And the hats!!!
@@djstatzHer personal life does not diminish her contribution to Hip Hop, not to mention women.
Her dancers were no joke😎🎼🎤
They wasnt bullsh×ttin were?😃
🎶Here's a dance step from Al and Kika 🎶
Alison was from Co-op who went to Truman High School in the Bx back in the day 1986
@@sherloncloud6816what was the other one name
Kika was the other one@@susanhurst3292
Man back in the day! You youngins just don't know.
The dancing was dope in this video, classic shit!
The LIFE in this video was dope! The vibe that inspired all that to flow forth actually reaches through even now
@@arveecee FACTS! #realheadsknow
1989 was a great year to be alive!
Not for the CRACK HEADS of that year
I was 17
The 45 King was making crazy beats already back then! What a magical era this was in the history of Hip Hop!
This when Hip Hop was fun
Good Times.......
Bring back dancing, originality and good fun vibes into hip hop!
I miss this era of hip-hop so much 😩 the peace & unity was so beautiful. Much love to the Queen! 👑
Queen Latifah was one of the original fly girls who could also rap n rhyme. ❤️
The dancing was 🔥🔥🔥
YES...THEY WE'RE ‼️
I miss this era. Everyone knew each other, they came out to hang, dance and be a part of the videos. Groups like De La Soul, Leaders of the New School, Tribe Called quest, etc. They would go to parks, playgrounds, parking garages, etc. Sad that you can't do that today.
3:15 - homie was immortalized from him just enjoying the moment.
That’s my dads friend
His moves are such a classic now
Why can't hip hop be like this again? 😔
Ikkkk I'm 16 and alot of ppl my age that I know don't like this classic hip hop sound, One of em even told me " 90s hip hop is trash", this generation is doomed.
It is. Just not to older generations lol. Kids today are going to grow up reminiscing the same way about their hip hop stars.
i guess it's kinda off topic but do anybody know a good website to stream new series online?
@Imran Graham flixportal :)
@Enrique Ruben Thanks, signed up and it seems like a nice service =) I really appreciate it !
The jam that put Latifah on the map!!👍
The jam that erased all thought of "female rap" being a niche and novelty act. The command and control she exhibited was barely matched, much less outdone - respect was due and given. She wasn't just a pioneer for a gender but for a Standard and style.
The black symbolic imagery in this video is amazing.
Watch this, Rakim - Move the Crowd and Public Enemy - Fight The Power back to back.
You damn right!!!
@The Dude Yeah now & days it's really a shame what's hip hop has become & it's crippled the culture
Don't see NONE of that nowadays! This cell phone generation could care less about that today. Smh
The 90s... when Fulton St in BK smelled like incense
Al And Keka, Latifah's dancers were 🔥🔥🔥
My daughter is 5, and LOVES this song. She gets so excited when the beat comes on, and watching everyone dance in the video. Thx Queen!!!🙏
We were the shit bac den!!!
When hip hop was beautiful💪...real talk. Salute
I remember seeing this the first time on Video Music Box. Shout out to Ralph McDaniels !
All Hail The Queen! She's one of the all time greatest entertainers from music, tv and movies.
This is just one example of why she is Queen Latifah with an emphasis on "QUEEN". The best ever! Queen of the lyrical freestyle.
they were jammin in this video.....
Omg 🐐👏👏👏🌋✌
ABSOLUTELY ‼️
Golden fucking age hip hop
The dancing was dope. That African attire and hat was🔥
if you don’t dance to 45 King, you’re doing it wrong 🤘😎
Wow! Look at Veronica Webb and Fab Five Freddy back in the day.
When purpose was unity
Always loved her dancers
They getting down with that DANCING ‼️
HAIL TO THE 1ST LADY OF TOMMY BOY RECORDS!
Fuck Tommy Boy tho for what they did to #delasoul
Those openings bars are angelic, she was on another level, just look at her face. Royalty and the flow is tight.
Still a dope jam after all these years. Classic
I was 14 when this came out. I had just moved to Tucson Arizona. Wow How fast time flies! Look at The Queen now! 👑
Whitley Jones IKR! I’m so proud of her!!
gd...THIS BEAT...Mark outdid himself on this one
Latifah is still beautiful
Yes!
I miss those dayz!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Amazing song, amazing flow. Happy 53rd Birthday to Queen Latifah. One of the greatest pioneers and MCs of all time. 03/18/2023 ❤❤🥳🎉🎊
This video was errythang 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Queen Latifah and 45 King together was deadly! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Like a muthafucka
Classic. Queen Latifah does not get the love she deserves. At all. People act like female Mc’s started with Foxy Brown anf Lil Kim. They didn’t even write her own lyrics. Latifah is one of the best to ever do it.
Latifah, MC Lyte, Monie Love.......
Foxy Brown?? Does anyone ever mention her? Queen Latifah is a legend, people do know she's one of the OGs.
@@lsamoa Foxy had Ghost Writers though. Great entertainer, but not at all a real artist.
@@bigdaddypapsmear And that's exactly why she's not relevant. It's bizarre that there might be people who think that she was one of the first female rappers when plenty of MCs came before her and she's not even a real rapper.
@@lsamoa My apologies, I misunderstood your comment.
Queen had a nice shape especially for her height. She represented Real Women figure. Not the video girl bs.
Word
This video is so 🔥🔥🔥
The polka dots whew those where the days lol 🐐💯 the 90's
Strong united symbolic proud
All around talent. This was when you could rap and still have your clothes on
L
❤❤RESPECT TO THE MULTI TALENTED QUEEN. HIP HOP PIONEER. COVER WOMAN MODEL..AMAZING ACTRESS. SHE DEFINITELY DESERVES HER JFK HONORS .RESPECT TO THE QUEEN. NJ FINEST!!! ICON!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
The Safari Sisters Were So ILLmatic
My man was getting it lol 2:43
Yes!! 😂
I have thought about that guy dancing off and on since this video first came out. I could never figure out how to do that!
Queen Latifah's premiere and an E30 BMW...When Hip Hop was badass and when BMWs looked like BMWs, not like round, ugly Civics.
Amen......Salute family.💪👊
RIP to the 45 King.
So many memories
We really need to go back to area. When it was all about Strong word play, DJ killing it on the ones & two's & having a funky good time
Hail to the Queen!
When Hip-Hop was fun and made sense. Just my opinion. Classic.
Exactly!
WOW. Memories. I love this video with all the dancing. Too bad hop hop ain't like this anymore.
Sly and the family stone sample. So dope
She still can’t be beat!!! And with her clothes on!!!!! Bow to the Queen!!!!
You had to be there to experience this moment in History
Yo this used to be my jawn !! And they killed it with the dancing in this video!!🔥 HOT throwback!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥Video and song is🔥🔥🔥 Legend
HAIL TO THE QUEEN. THE GOAT NJ.
love playing my bass to this!!!!
Still in2020 oh hells yeah.. and that real woman figure!
Queen Latifah Music is just positive all around .
Never the same❤❤❤
This is one of my all time favorite songs and videos. The fashion! The ENERGY! The dancers and moves! The cameo's! its all about the late 80's early 90's HIP HOP!!!
Back then if you saw a kid with a hi-top haircut you were sure he could dance.
Where did all the dancing go? At one point people just stopped dancing and just stood there bobbing their heads wearing their snowboard jackets, trying to look too cool for school. That's when things started to go downhill.
*I love Queen La Always. One of a kind! Her, Lyte, Roxanne paved the way for Femcees. JERSEY STAND TF UP!* 👊🏾😎✌🏾💗💞💋
*As a MARYLANDER (MID-ATLANTIC SOUTH), Yes:-)*
*In. Total. Agreement.*
LADY HYDRO JEN . AND DON'T FORGET( MONIE LOVE).
Happy 53rd Birthday Queen Latifah!(Born March 18, 1970)😃🥳🎂🎉🎊🎈🎁🍾🥂🎀🌷🌹💐👍🏾👏🏾🙌🏾
dope hip hop I remember the first time I heard this song 98.7 KISS FM it was either Chuck chill out that dropped it or red alert I had done lost my mind when I first heard it
This shit is classic. All hail the Queen. Queen Latifah.
Hail to the Queen 👑
A "CLASsICc"........FROMm......."THEe GREATt & VERYy LEGENDARYyyy MRr. & MRSs. QUEENn LATIFAHh"...........OKkAYyyy YASsssss HONEyyyy......."WERKk"......."DEVOo & DIVAa STYLEe".......OKAYyyy.......YESssss.......#BACKINTHEDAY.
Still 2024 Queen La
Female rap before WAP.
The Queen..my jam from back n the day.
This was awsome time classic record and the dancing was on point
TRUE FACT. QUEEN LATIFAH HAD A NICE SHAPE BACK THEN. WISH TO HAVE THAT QUEEN LATIFAH BACK COMPARED TO THE ONE TODAY . TODAY WE HAVE THE OLDER VERSION. SOME TIME WHEN I LOOK BACK AT HER CAREER. I OFTEN WOULD THINK OF WHEN SHE GOT CAR JACK IN HARLEM. TWO DUDES JACKED HER FOR HER BMW. ABOUT SEVERAL DAYS LATER OR TWO SHE WENT AND PURCHASED A NEW BMW. BACK THEN I THINK SHE USED TO DRIVE A SEVEN SERIES OR EIGHT SERIES.
Old rap school #ever
45 King man. Damn.
@@sportinlife1 yes yes!!🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
DJ Mark the 45 King and the Flavor Unit was on FIRE during this time! Latee, Lakim Shabazz, Latifah, Chill Rob G, Double J, Apache, Lord Alibaski, Naughty By Nature....it was crazy!!
Do you know where are some of the Flava unit team is now, and what was the name of the dance crew?
This is bringing back so many memories of 1991 that were just, like, the background of how cool life was back then. Being 5 ruled.
POWW! Whole album still does it for me after all these years. Classic material
DOPE
One of the most used dance tracks in dance mixes by the underground dance scene in NYC‼️.... from the song’s debut till this day‼️
Someone please tell me I'm not the only 54 year old former "Yo MTV Raps" fan who watched this video at work with headphones on, then closed their office door and got a "charley-horse" in their leg from trying to copy these dance moves.
80s, 90s greatest error of Hip-Hop
My Brother at 2:41 was GITTIN IT!🤣🤣
Who here with me in 2024!!✊🏿
Our generation used to dance back in the day...at house parties, in the music videos. BD Kane, Heavy D, Father MC, Kid N Play ,etc. used to all dance in their videos. This new generation don't know nothin about dancing though.
about time...queen's first vid; this and ladies first was the best, and then unity, damn so many from her...love to apache...
They jammin on the ONE.
If I’m not mistaken, the original intro of the song began, right after Mark 45 King says…”who’s it gonna be”….the chant of “Latifah…Latifah” came right after!!
When I was younger...I wanted to grow up to be Queen Latifah. Now that I'm older...I want to grow up to be Queen Latifah. Classic.
Well I'm glad you had a good inspiration
I love this song by Queen Latifah!!!!
Best female rapper eva.
I so miss when Hip Hop was fun.
Yo I showed this to my granddaughter and she was like grandpa y’all was lit🙌and I was like yes. Yes we were. Shout out to all those of my age who remember this live when it happened 🫡
Rest well DJ 45 KIng !!🙏
Ahhhhh queeeen Latifah never brings me down, she is a REAL woman. It's funny too tho, because my name is the masculine of Latifah wich is Latif, so fun to see my sister dance and sing.
I used to love this song..... black unity at its finest in hip hop
17 people that can't dance, sad peasants & kneel to the Queen Tifah!!!
“Sample samples, and for example,
I move with the 45 kings, so cancel,
your plans on moving to the frontline,
he’s a DJ, producer, and mind you, a friend of mine.”
She’s was one of a kind with her lyrics. She’d bury 90% of the rappers out today.
