    Thanks, Marcus.
Llansteffan is a lovely spot that I haven't visited in a long, long time.
But way back when, Mamgu was honorary mayoress.
A bit of a celebrity in Wales in the 1900s, she took first place (soprano) in two Eisteddfodau and took holidays in Llansteffan.
The locals made quite a celebration of it.

Thank you for yet another gem of a video detailing the fascinating history and archaeology of South Wales.
I should perhaps point out if only for Mel's benefit, a little known fact that in its heyday, Llansteffan Castle produced some of the best jumbo sausages in all of South Wales, This explains why the Welsh and the Normans fought over it for as long as they did. Although, alas, there weren't any chips or curry sauce to be had back in those days - which is a shame.

Yew, the great "Wars of the Sausages" back in 1258. We had to wait until later for the first curry sauce mine to be discovered.

Ha ha!.. Times were really hard back then. Often they had to add bread crumbs. It was a big problem making both ends meat.

Thank You for posting. On another CZcams Channel this lady posted she went to Llansteffan Castle on a trip in her college days and saw a face of a female ghost that really frightened her, she's never forgotten that image, her comment brought me to your channel to know about this castle. So much history here, it doesn't surprise me.

Unlikely to go there now tho. Not coming back for a few years yet.
    Tourist then I spose. 🤗
Loved the presentation, almost like Sir David Attenborough. 😉
I'm going to Cappadocia next week for a few days. Just 40 quid for two nights BnB.
Look it up it's quite spectacular.
I won't tell you I've been on Alanya beach today 31c.... 26c in the shade tho.
That would be wrong of me.

Thanks again for watching - we're going away again soon. Something equally as exotic - a caravan park near Poole! (it is cheap).
