My Irish ancestors thank you, as do I, for playing this.
This country was created in the minds of virtually every nationality.
Our country was basically built by immigrants mostly Irish back in the day
Correct, this nation was forged from the idea of freedom with the courage and bravery from freedom lovers from all over the globe
If that ain't worth celebrating, then nothing is
This brought tears to my eyes. We’re in the fight of our lives for freedom worldwide. Patriots everywhere in the world recognize it. Thank you for sharing the song from our Irish brothers and sisters! ❤️
Right now those in Cuba and Hong Kong resist tyranny. Actively. Animated by the same that fired the Irish Brigades…
@@jimreilly917 Exactly.. my heart goes out to all patriots out there in the world fighting tyranny and for their human rights.. 🙏🏻❤
@@bokiehillebrand7649 Cuba. Hong Kong. Other Chinese dissidents. The Uiggars in CCP concentration camps. South African whites. African Christians. Of many African nations. Muslim dissidents for human rights in the Middle East. Venezuelans who are starving. While sitting on the 3rd largest petroleum reserves IN THE WORLD.
@@jimreilly917 bruh south african whites really. i mean a lot of crime exists but it's not comparable to an independence struggle
@@kenlandon6130 Are you aware of SA lands seized…only from whites…by the government in about the last 7 years? Not like a struggle for independence? Sure.
I've never heard this, GREAT song!!!!
Sheridan welcome to the gang!
What a great request if I may say so. America was a Country that was formed of many nationalities that put all of their differences aside to form what Ai dare say is the best country in the world.
God Bless America and God Bless the Irish as well!
And God bless Scotland as well!
That song makes me want to dance a jig! 🤣🤣
I had never heard this song until today. Right away, I recognized the melody from "Whiskey in the Jar", which I hear all too often.
When you care enough to steal the very best. I have adored that because among other things Whiskey in the Jar is one of my very favorite folk song it only makes sense that if they were going to steal they would steal the very best for a song that they sing for the regiment for general McClellan beautiful
This artist has three albums and they are absolutley chalk full of beautiful Irish-American songs. I would highly recommend checking out some of his other stuff.
Alba gu Brath 🏴💙
Erin go Bragh 🇮🇪💚
Tiocfaidh ar la
Cuimhnigh ar na daoine a d'tianing sibh uathu ❤
They don't write them like they used to. I'll wager the original composition was sung in the Irish accent too back in 1861.
That's a new song for me, a good recommendation. I like it.
The boys that wore the green and the fighting 69th are both about the Irish brigade.
Makes me want to dance an Irish Jig! ( though I have 2 left feet)
Love it!
I really like these songs you’re finding to play for us! People from all ethnic groups fought for the USA because of the freedoms they enjoyed!!!!!!
Must check "The Fighting 69th" an all Irish brigade from NY . The song is powerful !
The Irish volunteer is a good one
I had any ancestor who fell at Fredericksburg with the Irish Brigade. My family has a long history of fighting and bleeding for old glory
As do I. Faugh a Ballagh!
"We soon got into battle,
We made a charge of bay'nets,
The rebel blaggards soon gave way,
They fell as thick as paynuts,
Och, hone, the slaughter that we made,
Be dad, it was delighting,
For the Irish lads in action
Are the devil's boys for fighting" Beautiful Union song.
Same absolutely one of my favorite lines of the song. And the singer's accent brings that song into life like it was back then. Absolutely like a time capsule in my opinion 💚🇺🇲🇮🇪
I don't know if you've checked it out yet, but look into some Fire Department pipes and drums! The American fire service is full or Irish and Scottish history.
Song was from about 1862, as McClellan was dismissed from leading the Army of the Potomac then. But the Irish boys got Grant, a much more effective general. Thanks for playing this--reminds me of my Irish Union soldier ancestors.
I really liked that song👍👍
You should really react to the fantastic American civil war song "The Irish Volunteer"
Yeah that's a great song too 👍🏼
React to “Irish volunteer”….way better of a civil war song 👍
But still better than a lot modern music
Scott’s are always welcome for a drink in the republic 🇮🇪🏴
The tune is "Whiskey In the Jar".
Hi I love your channel 😁 there are two songs that David Kincaid also made that are really cool 😎 the irish volunteer and the boys who wore the green .
I love this song, we'll fight for uncle Sam!
The Scots had the 79th New York Infantry. I believe there was a second regiment that was not completed.
Love Guinness. I want a barrel of it as a tombstone (in case I get thirsty)!
That is Genius
Whiskey in the jar too
I like that this is the same tune as Whiskey in the Jar
I would like to see your reaction to the Confederate version of The Irish Brigade and Wearing of the Gray
Before I clicked on this video, I thought for sure it was going to be about the Fenians. If you haven't heard of them I'd look them up and watch some videos of those great men.
Loved it!❤️
I have relatives who fought on both sides, it was a hard time.
Me too. I'm glad they did though, so we don't have to.
❤️❤️❤️
Please react to Madison Rising’s The National anthem.
Hi Cindy. I have actually done it already. Please check it out 😁
Whiskey in the jar!
Great video! Please react to David Kincaid's version of "The Boys That Wore The Green" !
All of his sons are absolutley beautiful!
I don't know what happened on the George Jones song you posted but it wouldn't play. Great reaction to this song.

This was awesome! I really enjoyed that song. Since you’re from the UK I would enjoy to hear your review of a song called “House of Orange” by Stan Rogers from Canada.
3rd generation American. My grandparents came over from Ireland on my moms side. Served my country. Plus 16 months in Afghan. Have a tattoo of the fighting 69th flag cloud/ lighting over the harp on my shoulder. Got it with a couple other sons of immigrants in tribute to the fighting 69th of the civil war/ ww1 fame. Our relatives. Irish people need to understand something before they get mad about Americans flying Irish flags and calling themselves Irish etc. We’re speaking specifically about Irish AMERICAN. Complete off branch of Irish. Own culture and history etc. forged in blood on countless battlefields and it’s a culture that’s been growing separate from Ireland for hundreds of years. It’s a sub genre. We’re not talking about you. We’re literally talking about us.
i like the battle cry of freedom you should check it out the Dons
Im Uncle Sam I like the song yes Im Irish
I'm part Indian Irish Serbian and Scottish
I'll fight for Scotland!!!! From an Irishman born in the u.s

Certainly couldn't deny that being an Irish song. Lol
