  • Nissan o2 sensor replacement for Altima generations from 2001-2018 with the 2.5L engine. The same QR25de engine was used through all those generations, quite possibly the same o2 sensor. The same procedure could possibly similar on other 4 cylinder models such as the Sentra. Hope this video helps.

      I was informed about it after my oil change. The people who did my oil change told me that 0² sensor went bad and it was a must that I changed it. That's howbI basically knew.

    This was not my case. It most cases it will be. But If you have changed your O2 and checked the wiring. If All's good. Move on, I drive 2009 Nissan Quest. I've only found Altima's on yt. For Pa200, Let me possibly save you 100's. The cat (firewall side) the welds on the cats shielding had unwelded. 3 shops could not identify my problem. I got them welded and everything is working 100%. People will tell you because it's that code it is before the cat, don't listen. Get a smoke machine on there and see if it's leaking. We went through the cats downstream O2 and it evident immediately. Good luck and have an awesome day.

      Hi, did you mean you replaced the downstream O2 sensor and re-weld the leakage on your catalytic converter shield?

    • @fgjack1264
      @fgjack1264 Před 7 měsíci

      No and yes? XD we pulled out the downstream O2 and put the smoke machine end in the 02 hole. Because the smoke was not reaching that far up using the tail pipe. And after a couple of minutes you could see smoke coming out from the shield, I replaced the upstream one, but not the down stream one. I took the cat off and looked through the bottom of the cat and where the shield was supposed to be welded had come undone. Got it welded back together. And haven't had a problem since. Hope this helps have an awesome day :)

      I usually tighten them hand tight. BUT, here's what I found on a google search that brought up info from NGK website.
      Install all sensors with new gasket supplied & torque to proper specs as below: M18 sensors - Install-finger tight then 1/2 - 3/4 turn with wrench/O2 sensor socket 26 - 33ft. lbs. M12 sensors - Install-finger tight then 3/4 - 1 turn with wrench/O2 sensor socket 13.2 - 17ft.

    • @sayedrashid867
      @sayedrashid867 Před 4 lety +1

      Yah I used the NGk O2 sensor and in the package there is a guide paper says the same thing. It was very confusing because it tells me to do 3/4 of a turn after hand tightened which was impossible to do because i can't turn more than 1/4 and it seemed like it would strip the thread if I turn more than that. So I basically hand tightened as much as I could do.
