  • With all the rain this year the grass is tall on unmaintained tracks so I fitted some Brake Snakes to the gearshift lever and brake pedal, a simple job to do which will stop grass and plants catching behind the levers

    Great video! I have a book I bought in the 70s called The Woods Rider where 'brake snakes' feature.

    That's interesting Bruce 👍 Great demonstration too, my friend got a stick trapped in his motocrosser and when he reached down to get it out, he lost the end of his finger in the chain. Serves him right for taking the sprocket cover off to save weight!

    Interesting, never saw that. Speaking of seeing, a minor comment. When you film, many times all we see is your arms and hands and not the place where the work and technique are. But, just a commment, this is and interesting “hack” and need to think about that. Thanks!

    Cool :) would fitting large rotating blades to the wheels not do the same job ? OF course might cause MOT issues :)

    Hi Bruce, do you need something similar for the exhaust pipe, or does the brake snake cover that OK?

    • @Coastriderscotland
      @Coastriderscotland  Před 4 dny

      @@alexd1759 hi Alex the cables stop debris interfering with moving parts and the exhaust is ok 👍
