- Welp I'd rather still be cruzin around in my grandpa Otto's old Cavalier, but as the engine is going to pot and also I needed a truck for work.
Its a 2007 Dodge Dakota that I got for a good deal. But still expencive as heck.
Funny thing is that out former Youth Leader from church had the same exact truck, but it was a crew cab.
Im sure I missed other things to point out about my ride but oh well.
Nice truck! I have a 2007 crew cab with the 3.7 v6. I have had it for about 5 years. Never had to replace anything outside of normal maintenance. Terrible gas mileage though lol.
I know this video is a little older. But I will give you a very important tip. Do not let them overheat!!! They have aluminum heads. These engines will drop valve seats and trash the engine... My wife has an 08 Dodge Nitro with the same engine. She overheated it and I had to replace the engine.
Ooh dang. Yeah I know a little about the engine and stuff now been having it a year or so and doing maintenance. The original owner had it in an accident and didn't replace the cracked radiator so it was replaced and I guess in a good manner too lol. But yeah is a good truck still runnin strong!
Aye big money this shit is lowkey pretty sick, my first car ever is a 2007 dodge dakota with the v6. its badass.
What is the gas mileage on them? I have one and it says it’s getting about 13 miles per gallon and I thought it was kinda low

@@gang-yc4je holy shit you got a v8? Mine is 6 and I read that it could drop down to 13 while driving city and 19 on highway but I never get on highways and the fastest I normally go is 50-60 so I don’t really ever got highway speeds.

I have the 4.7 2wd, I get like 12 city and 18-20 highway depending on speed.
I have an 2010 Dakota. Both of the front break calipers have froze up on me and nearly caught fire on separate occasions. Also had electrical modules go out on me, leaving me in third gear overheating my training.. miss my manual bug.
Well I'll keep my fingers crossed, so far only thing was water flooding in the plugs and the 4x4 is going out, and hard shifting, so yeah I'll take a manual anyday!

i have one to, quad cab its blue it has the same option for the top center console computer it fits six has a v8 in it four wheel drive has 213,467 on it an i just love it
Ah cool! Yeah was a great truck, I unfortunately don't have lil red anymore, last winter storm here I took out a telephone pole, I lived but truck was totalled out, now I'm down to my rust-10. (chevy s10) I miss my dodge tho, great truck and was easy to work on.

how did you get power to the aftermarket radio??
The aftermarket radio was there when I bought it. I assume the previous owner installed it by hardwiring it because all the speakers were redone and rewired with it.
is dakota same as the ram?
Dakota was the light dudy truck to the Rams everything from the cab to the frame was different, but the v6 and v8 magnums were sold in both vehicles.
