    THIS is how videos should be made!
    It took this dude 2 whole minutes to explain VESA in a way that a caveman could understand.
    No begging for likes and subs. No obnoxious 1 minute opener with crap-ass dubstep blowing out your ear drums.
    Just "Here's VESA. This is how it's measured. It's done because of this." and that's all she wrote.
    God, CZcams would be such a better place if it had more vids like this. Straight forward and to the point.
    Easy up vote from this guy.

    nice video, I like that they made a standard for this. Imagine if they did like the phone chargers (everything proprietary ). I recently replaced a 20 years old TV that was wall mounted and was afraid that it would not be compatible with my new TV, well, the holes aligned perfectly, I just had to buy new screws :)
    Minor detail here, but you might wanna mention also that the same standard applies to PC monitors

    My VESA pattern is 16H x 12V which equals to 406.4mmx304.8mm. Do I just round this off to 400mmx300mm? Also, what screw depth do I know that will work?

      Fatman _ panda right I just did the same thing. Like wtf on the measurement sir. So it’s not accurate it’s a guestimation.

    • @davemonatron
      @davemonatron Před 4 lety +3

      And they wonder why tf everyone gets angry or confused.
      When you multiply 25.4 * 16 you get 406.4. but you aren't considering x which is implied.
      25.4 * 16 * x = 400.
      X stands for stupid. When you factor stupidity into any equation, you can get any result that makes a convenient yt video.

      @theoriginalchefboyoboy6025 Před 3 lety

      no, mopey. it's a relational reference, just like tv resolutions - 4:3 or 16:9 - or like choosing wood sizes - 2"x4" or 5/4"x 6", except they are using 16" horizontal distance by 25.4" vertical distance. so the top and bottom screw holes are both 16" apart horizontally, so that means the bars that the bracket arms hang on to will need to span at least that distance. 25.4" means that the top and bottom screws are 25.4" apart vertically so the bracket arms that attach to the tv (and then hang on to the bars) need to be capable to span that distance.

      Jesus you are one miserable douche. Your mom mounted your world of Warcraft gaming monitor for you in her basement so why you’re questioning such a small number is beyond me. You prolly measure the perimeter of every Dorito you eat and I bet you measure the volume of every Mountain Dew she throws down the stairs for you too.

    • @JLvatron
      @JLvatron Před 3 lety +1

      Nope. Screw sizes are M4, M5, M6, ... These are independent of VESA.

  • @oislek34
    @oislek34 Před 4 lety +1

    example: 49PUx4900 - VESA MIS-F 400x200,
    M6 (Minimum 10 mm, Maximum 15 mm)
    so you need to mention this M6 screw depths too.

    • @KantoSolutions
      @KantoSolutions  Před 7 lety +5

      Good question! Curved monitors don't mount any differently than flat monitors. As long as your monitor is under the weight capacity of our mount it should work just fine. Feel free to contact us directly using the support button on our website if you have any additional questions!

    The pronunciation of "Vesa" is absurd considering who it has to compete with. Given it has an "E" has the 2nd letter its not like there wheren't options to prounounce it a different way. (
