It's Been Too Long!! | NASA C-130 Hercules!!

I know, I know- it's been WAY too long since I uploaded a video! I'm sorry!!! 😢 But, we did an ATF (Aircraft Test Flight) on the C-130 the other day, & I wanted to bring all of you with us! So jump in, & let's gooooooooo! There will be more Herc flights coming up, & I'll detail engine starts & lots of other cool stuff, so stick around & let's FLY!

That's nice, great to see some nice footage from the fight deck.
Also, are C-130 and P-3 close by engineering aspects? Both lockheed products, a assume that are about time for the first Hercules types..... how much changes for you operating both machines?

They are similar; people say they’re cousins (same manufacturer, same power plant, effectively & about the same era), but I say they are very distant cousins!
Operationally, there are some differences in limitations, but the procedures are significantly different.

Prop control from the flight station is different between the two. P-3 has chips lights, C-130 do not.

@@UnusualAttitudes Ten great years on a civilian Herc. Really enjoyed it. I was waiting for NASA to get one when I was at Dryden, but retirement came before it happened. Enjoy it, and remember, the airplane can be flown without talking to it, just like the DC-8 and SOFIA.😃
