- We are in Sri Lanka, the Coconut Island! We will take you on our 3-week adventure through this amazing country. Starting with a Safari in Wilpattu National Park to spot Leopards!
After arriving in Sri Lanka, we spent the night in Negombo, heading to Wilpattu National Park first thing in the morning to spot some leopards.
Our stay was called Big Game Wilpattu right on the border of Wilpattu National Park. In the afternoon, we went on an amazing Safari trip with a Jeep & our guide. We were on a mission to spot as many animals as possible on our tour, including the famous leopards of Sri Lanka. Were we successful?

You two were upgraded to Mahoora camp which has a front seating area and the better camp than Big Game Camp, with BBQ dinner and 1/2 safari included for the full board price. How much did you pay for 1 night for all this?

Hey, we opted for a Grab ride to the camp, since there were no direct alternatives at the time. We don't know if that changed by now. Wasn't expensive though.
The camp is called: 'Big Game - Wilpattu by eco team'.

Hey, the camp organized some cheap Transport for us and we took a tuktuk to Anuradhapura then. They can also organize cars if you'd rather want that.

Yes, we know! We heard from so many people they saw Leopards, I guess we just had bad luck that time 😭 More reason to come back to Sri Lanka though :P
