Tip: You can write down the steps in a sheet of paper, so in that way, you can still follow the steps without missing one and to not mix up the steps.

@@kiyoterauchi7896 about the layers, you can imagine that you are stacking transparent paper. So like when you're coloring, you should put it under your line art so that it won't cover your lines
I loved how you mentioned the pens you use because other tutorials doesn't mentioned what pen they use
This tutorial was super helpful! I feel more confident in shading then I was before lolol
These are my steps to draw
Step1- keep looking for inspiration
Step2- always follow tutorials
Step3- keep practicing and try not to lost your motivation

@@weball7899een a year since you said this but trying to know how light and shadow work on things like clothes, hair, etc and studying it, then attempting to replicate it can be considered 'practicing to draw things that you cant draw properly at the moment'

Whenever i draw, the lineart looks good but whenever i add colour to it ☹︎
Try looking up colour palettes online and using those! They’ll make the colours on your drawings look better and pleasing to the eye ^^

ill give you a tip- when you are about to out color to your lineart, add a new layer and put that layer below the lineart and then color it. It works!

Don’t know why people say they can’t do the tutorial. You practice with tutorials, you don’t get it on the first try. When I watched the frills video, I didn’t get it right on the first try, but when I practiced, I got better. Same with all of these tutorials :)

Honestly, I find coloring the hair one of the most difficult steps without learning any tutorials. By this tutorial, I finally understand how to color in my oc’s hair in a correctly way! Also, I would rate the app 5 stars!

You put the color layer behind the original lineart layer because not doing so causes the color to lap over the actual black and it won’t be so neat, this applies to other colors in other body areas too
Funny how this video was more helpful than mostly of the other ones which are actually narrated and done with cintiqs
