Im having issues im using krita but dont know if im coloring the hair do i fill in the lineart with base color or make another layer with just the color.

Shadows go wherever light isn't hitting. Just think about the 3D form and observe from real life.
It's not random, but in drawings, they don't necessarily need to make sense.
Okay, but what did you do to make the edges softer bc I didn't catch a brush change or anything so I'm confused on how to do that :')
I would suggest using a soft end brush or eraser, adjusting the pressure to liking
"leave a like if you think this face is cute"

The main issue is that you're going way too fast. This doesn't make it a tutorial. We're just watching you zip through this process. We shouldn't have to keep rewinding this video every 10 seconds.
