In this video our cavoodle dog Olive meets her baby brother for the first time! It seems just like yesterday Olive was a puppy coming home. We can't believe how much she's grown up and become a big sister now. Our dog and family show their reaction to meeting and welcoming the new addition to the family. Reunited with our dog and family we are so happy to be back home and excited for what next chapter has in store for us.

Especially the racist ones, two about dogs attacking babies, and those that think you seriously believe Olive and Ian are REALLY 'brother & sister'... I loathe that ugly, miserable people with such ugly, miserable minds think it's okay to be so rude to such a beautiful family!

It was amazing to me how our dogs treated our boys when they home
It's nice to see people who know how to introduce their new baby to their dog. So good to let Olive burn up her happy to see you energy before bringing her in to see the baby. 👍🖖
There is no one way TO INTRODUCE or HOW TO.
This vid is cute yes and a lucky thing 'IF' the dog can accept it. But my aunt had to get rid of her small dog as it turned from a soft cuddly thing to a Snarling Growling even foaming at the mouth beast when my aunt had her newborn grandchild near her, so she had to get rid of the dog and give it to a Animal Foster centre.
Its nice to see these videos, but it should also be made clear not all dogs are accepting. Even the ones u thought would NEVER show any aggression or hate towards a new fam member.
You are right my dear not all the same especially if your pet is jealous.
@@severdnerv ikr many dogs comes out as a jealous one and they start growling whenever parents touch their infant or even love them.... This thing shouldn't be avoided no one should put their infants life at risk!
That's what we were advised to do as well, and to pet them while they sniffed the baby.

That dog knows where that baby came from. Olive knows for sure this is a new tribal member. So sweet, so well behaved.
marjorie: Yes, but I don't understand how they know. This is a new member of the family. This is a very fragile creature that I must protect like the rest of my family. After all, Ian is not petting Olive, or whispering tot Olive, or any of other the other things the rest of the family does. Somehow they know not to be afraid, jealous or hostile. It's wonderful. Ian is beautiful.

That baby was inside of your wife a short time ago, and it smells just like a member of the pack, to that dog with it`s amazing nose. Wild male animals can smell cubs, and they know which ones are theirs. You could have set your baby in a line of a dozen babies, and your dog would have found it. Have fun being a Dad.

@Gnirol Namelerf Heheh, not all dogs are like this-some do end up getting rehomed because they don’t jive well with baby. That said, it’s all about how they’re raised, whether the thing that they hear/feel/smell in mom is part of the family or a parasitic bag of flesh that’s taking their attention.😅

The baby will have nothing to fear. The dog, no matter how small; will defend the baby w/it’s life if need be.

OMG! HOW WONDERFUL! CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR TINY PEANUT! Twenty years ago when I had my son, our black lab started sleeping under his crib. The dog felt so protective of the baby. Even walking around the neighborhood he would hang out two feet from the stroller. Our dog was 2yo when I had my baby and lived 16 more years. My son bonded and the dog's name was the fourth word he learned after Hi, Dada, B (blanket). Note: he didn't say Mama until he was 7 mths old but has since screamed my name everyday. I so hope your baby and Olive fall in love. So happy for you. 💙💙💙
