Aaron, I have to say, you're actually a really good speaker and I'm loving the long form videos. It's not easy to speak continuously while driving but the general absence of jump cuts makes this video really palatable.

As someone who is about to graduate high school, I appreciate you sharing your thoughts about college. I sort of feel the same way about not wanting to go, but feeling pressured by my parents. I used to want to be a physicist but after picking up the guitar a couple years ago, music has become my hobby and dream. Anyways, great video!

I'm in a similar situation, I'm in high school, but I'm questioning going to college after starting a band with my friend. I play drums.
Dude I don’t think people realize how much of a shift and adjustment the class of 2020 had to go through especially scholastically. I don’t even remember the final classes I needed in high school for college. But they just passed the whole class anyway. Went through 3/4 of college just to dropped out cause external weights in life, relationships and various levels of real low mental states. Then picked up a trade did hvac for a year after. And I’m right around the point where I’d love to move out as well. You’ve definitely found your niche man. Keep it going, hon your craft. God bless brotha.

I’m so excited for you Aaron and I think this will help a lot of people. I knew after watching the 3 hour podcast (damn I’m drawing a blank on the name. I also have FTD which is the same brain illness as Bruce Willis but I’m only 53. So my communication isn’t best. Sometimes it’ll take me much longer to say what I want so please excuse that.) that besides the funny/musician you had a lot more going on on a deeper level. You’re right on the nose with the “soul feeling” which is so much better than “gut feeling” but man, it’s never wrong.
This is great not just for you to have but for so many other to see an example of what it’s like to go for it. There will be ups and downs and surprises and I’m so glad we all get to follow. You’ve worked so hard, your talent from just 3 years ago has just exploded and you’re a very smart guy. That’s what my soul feeling has always said. And I’m very aware I do not know you!
Great first video Aaron, I’m so glad you’re happy with everything so far. As for college, for anyone really fighting about going or not, it’s always there. People can go 5, 10, 20 years from now. People change careers a lot, or learn a trade. Nothing is closed off. But to do what you’re doing, how’s the time where even though you feel responsible for your family, and I truly get that. But having no other big responsibilities like kids, or large debt etc. You’re at the right age, you’ve accomplished a lot so far! So, I’m a woman but I love music, funny shit and serious life stuff too, so ill happily be a boy or boi cheering you on and enjoying the long form content! 🎸🥁🍀✌️

i moved pretty far from everything i knew for marine science in fall 2023. it’s nice having a companion in that. my hometown never really encouraged anyone to go far. we were expected to go to our local college at most. a lot of my family still doesn’t understand why i needed to leave the state. had my mom supporting me the whole way though

Hey Aaron- I feel you. I did the same thing (leave home town) back in the late 80's and drove 12+ hours to the outskirts of Atlanta. Had an old Honda Civic and my drumset in the back, jamming to The Smiths and The Cure in the cassette deck. The difference is that I was totally alone and you have followers. Not sure which method is better- time will tell, but hang in there kid- it's going to be an adventure!
I'm a high school Junior and I've been stressing about my future, the whole graduating to adult life and all that and where I'm going and this made me feel better cause I feel like I can take this journey with everyone else and just see where I go. Thanks Aaron.

I definitely like the long form as much as the shorts. Getting to see a more “real” side of the content is always cool and fun! You’re definitely a bro Arron, and I’m glad you’re taking all of us along.
One problem I do have is the swearing, I’m not some pansy who can’t take foul language. It just throws off the whole vibe of the video for a moment when it happens, kind of like hitting a really bad wrong note when playing an instrument.

This is one of the best youtube videos ive ever watched. I'm really worried about moving out myself, and although I still have a couple years, it is a really scary aspect, but this video kinda helped show me that it isn't really impossible.

1:20 this is was something ive been hanging onto for myself, and im kinda just glad im hearing it from someone else. always felt i held myself back by always “talking” about all these things wanna do, and never following through with it. now i don’t say shit until it gets done - that’s where the real fulfillment came for me - as both a musician, an artist and just as someone who wants to do a lot of stuff. you get it, man. love the transparency you have with this kind of stuff

shit aaron, I graduated the same year and didn't turn in any assignments during online 'college', dropped out, lived in mexico, and now im back in college. My whole life ive lived in a a state of uncomfortability, my life in mexico was the peak of that, experiencing starvation and some other fucked up human shit. Shit feels the same, but slightly different, I think im on the right path, but these shades of grey got my vision blury. I feel lucky that you make videos to brighten my shitok feed, your music has helped bring me back to embracing the creative aspects of myself that I actually give a fuck about. I still dont really know what the fuck im doing, but at least I enjoy certain aspects of my life and it helps to know that you embrace that aspect of you despite everything else.
