    I like the details on making the profiles. However, you seem a bit careless operating that table saw. Just saying if you value those digits be a bit more careful and use a guard. To many moments made me cringe thinking you were going to lop off a finger or 2

    In your opinion, what are the preferred steps? Cut miters and lengths, then cut the profile, then use the stepped router to make the rabbet? I was thinking to cut the rabbet on the straight pieces, then route the profiles on each straight piece and lastly measure and cut the pieces/miters to the correct lengths. Thanks for your help on this.

    • @InfinityTools
      @InfinityTools  Před rokem +2

      My preferred process is to create the profiles and the stepped rabbet on the longer pieces, and then miter them to length to create the frame. Always remember it's easier to trim a piece a little at a time to sneak up on the fit than to try and make it perfect the first time.

    An excellent video but what resource do you use so know you are making the correct length right and left side and a correct size top and bottom rail for the size picture you want to frame? That’s what I struggle with And is there a recommended reveal size for the mat sides and top and bottom?

    When you say "pin the frame with brads", which is it? Pin nails or brad nails? It looked like a pin nailer. I just wasn't sure if I needed brads or if pins are enough until the glue dries...

    • @InfinityTools
      @InfinityTools  Před 4 lety

      Either should do the trick for average sized frames.

    Great video. How do you adjust the Incra miter gauge if it doesn't register a perfect 45 degree angle?

    • @InfinityTools
      @InfinityTools  Před 7 lety +1

      Basic adjustments to just about any Incra Miter gauge are done at initial setup when squaring the gauge, usually this is a matter of loosening a couple of screws and squaring the gauge to the miter bar and tightening everything back up. if you use a square like i did in the video to check the angle, you can set the gauge either by the stops built into the gauge which I have always found to be accurate, or simply by using the square and locking down the gauge without using one of the built in stops.

    Do you include a router bit setup chart with bit sets?

    • @InfinityTools
      @InfinityTools  Před 7 lety +1

      Hi Ron, we do not have a setup chart but each of our bits have a recommended speed chart printed on the back of the pouch they come in. This helps insure that you have the bit running at roughly the correct speed so that you can fine tune the RPM to suit your material and depth of cut.

    None of these are 1/4" shank bits. Not worth it.

    • @InfinityTools
      @InfinityTools  Před 5 lety +2

      Actually one of the bits in this set is 1/4" shank. As this set is intended for use in a router table and not recommended for free hand routing, 1/2" shank router bits should not be a concern.
