How could you have set the bar so high?! Hardly anyone loves comics even half as much as you do
Th3Birdman you made a mistake on the stan lee cameo you should have gave him que drum rolll

wow forgot the diffrent type of helmete peter used back then
yo man, I really love the content, but can I make one suggestion? can we have the "bullshit", jokey sins all in their own counter, and the actual criticisms in their own counter? just to show people how much he pads the count and such?
dude, he sinned game of throne for having political debate and compared it to star wars on tv sins.....
I remember getting SO sick of hearing the "where did he get the batteries" nitpick when this movie came out. What kind of mystifying, whacked-out, super-science do people think goes into some AA batteries? I could literally power a Walkman with some potatoes.
Probably because they never paid attention in elementary science class
Not to mention it's science FICTION. What makes anyone think that Quill can't get his hands on a AA battery equivalent in one of the billion other planets he's been too.
They travel at LITTERAL WARP SPEED but earth batteries is where the line is crossed.
In regard to Gamora surviving in space, it clearly says she can in her prison bio... which he sinned for being “cliche”
Plus, movies have greatly exaggerated the effects of exposure to space. Still lethal to people but not instant.
And Rocket says in the same scene that she can survive a few minutes
@@TheCinderfang well you'd be pretty close to instantly unconscious as a normal human, blood starting to boil, no air in your lungs, water in your eyes and mouth starting to boil, the disorientation. not instant and yea you've got like, 15 seconds, but not un-dramatic either
@@CanyonF actually probably up to a minute if you exhale and have no oxygen in your lungs. If you held it in you would die really quickly though due to the gases trying to expand because of pressure
@@Stormfire1777 dam if only I was 4 months faster so close
“Space air” is definitely my all time favorite
lmao
I know right like what kind of idiot thinks that there is air in space. I mean the whole point of space is, it being a vacuum.
@@painterpikachu3530 Also, if you breathe out, you can survive up to ten minutes in space. You would pass out pretty quickly from lack of oxygen and your blood would begin to boil as it’s a vacuum, but there wouldn’t be enough air in your lungs to expand and kill you. You wouldn’t even suffer brain damage if someone else, who was equipped to survive in space, rescued you before ten minutes.
I learnt this from this video:
czcams.com/video/0Hwjmek0Uvw/video.html
If space air is a problem, just put on your goggles.
@@painterpikachu3530 I think there was air in space, just a negligible amount of it
"Space air" is up there with "There's no gravity in space" in terms of Jeremyisms.

@ANTHONY THOMAS no, it was the opening shot of kylo's ship in episode 7.
Jeremy needs 2 seperate sin counters, one for actual sins and another for his “jokes”
And for a lot of his videos, the jokes counter total would be a lot larger then the actual sin counter
So one or two sins for the movie, and too many for the "jokes".
Or dont ding a joke! Just leave it at the same number of sins!
That might encourage him to find actual sins, like continuity and costume gaffs, editing mistakes, and whatnot, which seem to fly right over his head.

"The concept of Inception is not a dream within a dream (like most people seem to think)..."
THANK YOU!! It drives me nuts that people keep getting that wrong. "Inception" does not mean "thing within a thing."
The word that they are looking for there is "recursion."
Spar10Leonidas yes!!!
And they explain it in the freaking movie, still no one gets it
I thought i was the only one cringing at people getting the concept of inception wrong seems like I'm not alone
Spar10Leonidas oh! That makes sense. I haven’t seen inception but almost every parody does the dream in a dream thing😅
And it's not as if inception wasn't a real word that means exactly what it means in the film; I guess no one ever heard of that word before the movie came out.
Yo they sinned Mask of the Phantasm. GET THEM lol
Good. Now I don't have to type out the same comment
it was so painful
I'm looking forward to that. Hope you don't have to rage quit like with the Flashpoint Paradox.
Prentiss Robinson that was funny too.
What's a real sin is that hardly anyone realizes that the original Phantasm was an old man.
I love the Endgame reference at 3:43. I actually had to stop the video because I was laughing so hard. It also helps that people made that comment on jeremy's video
This is not endgame
@@ColinKeyFuR That was an awesome scene to watch though, where Rhodey meets Quill for the first time. It was such a different feeling to see this scene from a different perspective.
@Fabio Rodriguez Yea ok, so you are just like Jeremy. Let me teach you a lesson then. The whole final fight of GOTG was to not let Ronan touch the ground because then he would have been able to do this. In the begining of IW you can see Thanos using the power stone to absolutely obliterate the Asgardian ship. He doesn't need all the gems to cause any real genocides, he just doesn't want to destroy any planets. Why would he destroy his home planet Titan? Why would he destroy Earth? Please use your brain. Thank you.
@Fabio Rodriguez Jeez dude, all you have to do was google it.
Fabio Rodriguez well Guardians of the Galaxy had the whole plot point of NOT allowing Ronan to bring the stone to the surface, and Thanos was on a mission to save the universe by destroying half of all life so destroying an entire planet wouldn’t exactly be what he wants to do
I much rather watch CinemaSins this way

Cinemasins: we don't read the books
Also Cinemasins: sins things explained in the comic books
And apparently movies shouldnt stand on their own without the comics.
@Jesse Schoedel well according to people here and birdman, they dont. So many times a complaint is made the response is "read the comics". If a movie truly stood on its own, then comics dont matter. Its up to the movie to explain how it fits into things.
@Jesse Schoedel explained perfectly. Jeremy just dips into both sides for padding his precious "sin" (length) count
If you don't take the time to research the comic books the movies are based on then should you really be reviewing those movies? NO, you shouldn't because you don't have the full context.
@Lego ...but not in the movie.

Im so glad your doing these videos. Some of my first introduction to film criticism and subsequent analysis WAS cinema sins. This was horrible because their "satire" is NOT actual satire and I ended up thinking narration was a legit always a bad filmmaking decision and all the other shit they say. This put me off of a lot of movies and I avoided watching their videos on movies I loved or thought were great because I thought their videos actually criticized movies. It stopped being funny to me pretty quick. Now I know what movies actually are and how their made and have gained a considerable amount of writing skills and know better. everyone: are you sure about that
you're probably kidding...but for those who aren't as yet aware...you. can. critique. something. you. love.
14:05 I can see how Jeremy got confused because I always thought it was controlled with the mind and whistling commands made it easier to do(sort of like how in Harry Potter you can cast spells without saying the word but it requires more consentration)
I’m so glad you made this video. Probably one of your best ones yet
Yondu is Mary Poppins OMG HOW DID I NOT SEE THAT!?
Watch guardians 2
Watch GOTG 2 my man 😂
I love your intros man, keep it up!
That laugh when th3Birdman shows the ‘sin’ that implies we don’t see the gems genocidal ability, only to see the effect of the snap
That got me
So will when Jeremy sins Avengers Endgame will he sin the Stan Lee cameo the disrespect
And really Jeremy is sining that the bad guy has spies? The cartel send their men to the military and have police in their pockets so yes he would have spies
Eaeth trees are pretty dense so why not an alien tree be bulletproof if a racoon can talk english a tree can be bulletproof
12:48 And Because science proved that a human can survive that long in space with out a suit
Hector Arredondo jackass the sin isn’t that it’s Stan lee it’s that he’s in all of them
@@Bigballhaver3 and why is this(stan lee's cameo in every marvel movie) a sin again please.
Astronaut Chris Hadfield, who works at NASA, has said you will immediately boil, freeze, suffocate, and possibly burn to death. You cannot survive that long. He can because he is a celestial abs Gamora can because her people are probably stronger because humans are the weakest people of all time according to space movies, cartoons, and comics.
@@sljrebyhttat1563 you will not immediately die. It takes a minute for asphyxiation to kill you.
@@sljrebyhttat1563 Considering we had a Russian Astronaut be exposed to the vacuum space in the 50s for a while so he could fit in his pod begs to differ.
3:40 endgame refrence, i love it.
8:57 this line is basically what I tell most of my friends when we watch movies.
"He can survive that? That's bullshit."
Dude... Dude..
I’ve watched cinema sins for a while now, I’m still not subscribed to them, never really saw a reason to. I found your channel a few weeks ago and your content is so good I felt you deserve a sub. Keep up the great work!
Is the last sin a reference to the scene in Vol. 2 where Quill calls Rocket a 'trash panda'? - "It's waay worse." Well played Birdman! Even the way you said it was the same.
5:39 Jeremy makes marvel fans go hulk
This is probably the only CZcams video ad I’ve ever clicked. Brand looks sick!
The Yondu one about the whistling arrow gets me every time I watch this. "I mean, why do I even have to explain this?" LOL
ROFL!! Your laugh when the Avengers were being dusted was priceless.
10:33
Actually in this same movie it confirms the mask has some sort of revitalization ability as when he put it on Gamora it fixed her up.
"That's racist!" actually used in context had me cracking up
2:43 The sequel shows that Yondu sourced a Zune, and in this film Quill has a period accurate tape deck player on the Milano. It’s not inconceivable Earth objects have been traded around in the galaxy. This film also has the troll doll Quill swaps out for the Power Stone, another example of Earth and human culture objects leaving the planet.
Jermey: this many ships exist
Me: looks at LA traffic
"They actually bankrolled the Trolls film, which is... way worse."
I laughed. :D
13:25 Well played, Th3Birdman. If only Jeremy had your skill at making a recurring gag feel fresh every once in a while...
I don't get it
@@zarcono4546, can't tell if you're trolling or not, but anyways: the "jeremy makes a pop culture reference that isn't a sin of the film cliché" gag is hidden in the subtitles.
@@pmanha Oh i knew that, I thought you were doing the same
@@zarcono4546 I had a feeling you were trolling, but couldn't be sure :D
No, I did enjoy the different way of presenting the running gag, precisely because it was an unxpected way of doing it (I was expecting the gag as soon as Jeremy started refering to Independence Day)
“No. He’s an idiot” that delivery was perfect
“No...he’s an idiot” that fucking slade me man, love how much you get the characters
Ah yes. one of the best marvel movies. keep on the good work birdman love your stuff.
That Laugh @ 11:43 tho 🤣🤣🤣... I'm sure I'm not the only one to rewind a couple times!
anthonyr yeah. His laugh is contagious. Lmao
Please keep up the good work and make your videos just as much fun as this one
Jeremy's obsession with 'power levels' fascinates me. He seems to be of the opinion that 1. Every character has a numeric value of power and 2. that that power level is absolute and should determine all fights, discounting any other factors at play. Yet, he's a Batman fanboy, a character who is usually the 'weakest' member of any group he is a part of, insisting that Batman always should win fights.
15:07 DID CINEMASINS NOT COUNT ROCKET RACCON AS A PERSON! I AM OFFENDED!
Please make a video on Cinema Sins video on Batman: Mask of the Phantasm that he made just a few hours ago. It is almost completely wrong and really bad
He did WHAT?!?!!!
15:27 Third, rocket raccoon is not a actual raccoon, but he is an alien that happens to look like earth’s raccoon
Birdman uses Linux, so you know he's a man of culture.
That was a Mac...
First off, 50 sins for even *thinking* of sinning GOTG
Once again, your work keep me entertained through information feed and sarcastic commentary. It never gets old! 😉
Your intros are dope af
Not only can groot stop bullets, regular old wood stops bullets surprisingly well. 2" of pressure treated pine stops a .22 caliber round. Less than a foot of regular pine will stop 9mm. Takes a decent size tree to stop rifle rounds, but an overloaded .50 caliber powder rifle wasn't able to make it through ~1.5-2 feet of hemlock. Those are just soft woods too. Even if the manufacturer of the security bot is cutting costs using fmj over hollow points, it doesn't take much more wood to stop those.
6:18 - I think he was asking why Gamora was ALLOWED to have a cell all to herself while everyone else had to sleep together on the floor. It was just bad wording on his part.
I don't think you are paying attention here; he answered himself-- Gamora was "allowed" to have a cell to herself because the other inmates want to kill her. Prisons do not put prisoners in a space where they are knowingly vulnerable to other inmates, i.e., they won't put Black people in cells with known White supremacist inmates.
@@Th3Birdman Good point, yeah I'm not sure how I missed that. Sorry about that.
*stating the obvious upcoming cliche* You know my man, I think CinemaSins may be padding their sin count.
Dude your thumbnails are so awesome and unique
The funny thing is that even ignoring that Peter Quill is half celestial, with preparation bog standards humans can survive up 30 seconds of exposure to hard vacuum (though they pass out after 12 to 14 seconds) and some experiments suggest that even exposures as high as 90 seconds (so over a minute) wouldn't cause permanent damage (and that's with our current real life medical technology not what ever tech the Guardian have available to them).
0:28 This scene is apparently my favourite
It's tied for my favorite with the one where Rocket goes "Oh...YEAH" lol
I can't help but get teary eyed at this scene...
2:03 i understood that reference
7:41 another reason why Thanos' threat is so deadly to Ronan is cause he himself bathes his stairwells in blood as seen in Ronan's introduction in this film.
That fucking laugh, dude you earned a like.
The ex machina cracks me up every time. 😂😂😂
