This song, along with the first season of Stranger Things made me wanna start playing D&D back in 2016. I couldn't find people to play with back then. Then, last year, I met a guy who was a DM and he rekindled my interest in starting playing. I convinced some friends to play and I've been the DM since we started back in September. I fucking love it!
So many references, such as "Forgotten Realms", "Pathfinder", "Hollowed halls beneath the fells". Not sure if it's just me, though. It's an amazing song, with an amazing subject.
I hate the 100 sided die. damn thing is like a golf ball. Gimme 2 d 10. Screw that gimme a dodecahedron I got a longsword and I'm using it against a large creature. No gimme 3 d6 I got my two handed sword and I'm about to fight an ogre.
Yeah that 30 sided die was annoying. I thought Gamma World used two ten sided like Star Frontiers, Top Secret, and Boot Hill......Gamma World sweet concept terrible rule system. My favorite character that I made for that game had the short defect. So he was human chipmunk mutant that poked people with a tetanus infected needle....he died in that space station module they had...the one with the zombies...but really the attack damage system made no sense....
His DnD streams were good, he rallied a lot of people into the DnD community and got me into it. Sucks that he ruined himself. I think all of the fame and power that came with it changed him as it does many others, but who knows. He could've always been like that.
