I'm a pretty big fan of this. In the past I've had a fin pin go through my shortboard while it was sitting on top of my longboard in my board bag. I had put a few towels in between the two boards, but apparently they didn't stick.
The good news was that I learned how to fix a basic ding in the board because of that. Although to be honest I did a terrible job fixing it.
This surfboard sock has been great. It's relatively easy to put on, although it can stick a little bit on the sides. I've used this to transport my longboard from the east coast of Florida to the gulf coast multiple times already. It also prevents wax from going onto my car, although I do transport the boards inside of a board bag as well, so that hasn't been a major issue for me.
One thing to be cautious of is it can be a little bit slippery because its a cloth material. So make sure you have a good grip (as always) on your board to prevent yourself from having it slip out of your hands.
