Kannada is one of the very few and amongst the oldest surviving languages in the world that survives with 70 million speakers worldwide. It's from Karnataka, South India. Kannada is also really rich in Jaanapada (Folk) Bhaavageete (Unique but plenty of this literature to my language again, can be translated to "emotional poetry" in English) Sugama sangeeta (Light music), Vachanas (Proses about social awareness in 12th century Composed by The World s first Social reformer Basavanna and the likes of his followers). One lifetime won't be enough even to learn all the Jaanapada/Folk songs but it's so nice to hear this folk song which even I've never heard of being a singer and a writer. Really proud to call myself a Kannadiga. Thanks a lot to Maatibaani for introducing Kannada folk to the world. More power to her. ಜೈ ಕನ್ನಡಾಂಬೆ 💛♥️ Look forward to more Kannada songs! 👍😀

One of the true identity of a real singer is his or her Voice, pitch and tone and second is that he or she sing it from the heart.

A splendid display of how music has no barriers, and speaks directly to one's soul no matter the language, country or ethnicity. A mixture of the best of the colourful stories from two regions distant, but abridged through this marvel of a creation. Everything about this song is so perfect. I can't help but dance the whole time while also experiencing an endless amount of joy.
It is like a beauteous painting filled with vivid landscapes and stories from Mexican and Kannada folklore, bright, vibrant, colourful with the correct amount of contrast and complementing elements. Who would have thought of listening Mariachi and Kannada folk together ? How effortlessly they fit and seamlessly transition to one another is commendable.
This has all the elements of an elating dance piece. Traditional mariachi elements with vihuela, trumpet, strings and vocals, a brilliant lead with Mrs Raghavendra and Mrs Shah, lilting south Indian percussions and most significantly the tight groove with Shalini's bass and Wiktoria's drums, which hold the song perfectly together. The groove plays an essential part in making the song even playful, danceable. The song is really rhythmic with drums, bass and nagada percussions moving alongside with the lead vocals.
The exposition is like a Bob Ross painting beautiful Mexican landscapes, reminiscent of clear blue skies, lush greenery. And in no time it transitions to the lively rhythm and the dancing (both literally and metaphorically) vocals of Ms. Nirali and Shubha, like a layer of a rural Indian setting, surrounded by mango trees and hills being added to the painting. The swinging interlude with the instruments and vocals uplifting the song, details it and the instrumental as usual being my favourite part, is a great display of the colourful timbres and styles. The presto concluding the piece with everyone dancing, the musicians, and my whole body and soul.
This is an exceptionally creative and elaborate productions of all of Maati Baani songs. The sheer number of layers and instruments amalgamated, metamorphosing seamlessly without anything feeling compelled , so well put together. Commendable work by Mr Shah. The lyrics are undoubtedly the heart of this song. The mix is so clean and groove so tight.
I think I have exhausted by words but they fall short of describing even a scruple of this masterpiece.

If only they have used some of the original music instruments for accompanying. In it’s original form folk has a rhythm, a tempo and tenor, whose modulations give off the earthy essence of life. Alas! I miss those radio days when we used to listen to pure and lively music of all regions and could imagine the place of it’s origin without video, of course!
