The East Durham Coast - The East Durham Heritage Coastal Path

- This hike encompasses most of the route of the East Durham Heritage Coastal Path, from Noses Point in Seaham all the way to Crimdon Beach near Hartlepool. Along the footpath we discover beaches, denes, seaglass and views unique to of this area of the UK.
Route Taken :- Noses Point - Hawthorn Dene - Shippersea Bay - Busiers Holes - Fox Holes Dene - Warren House Gill - Blackhills Gill - Limekiln Gill - Denemouth - Blackhall Rocks - Blue House Gill - Cross Gill - Crimdon Beach - Crimdon Dene

Nice walk and good weather for it.
I grew up in Horden but left in 1978 and only just moved back to Durham recently.
I got to your site looking for walks around the Pennines as I now live close by near Crook and intend getting out there something I haven't done since leaving school, wandering about lost on the Pennie
Penninnes as an army cadet.

The whole hike took 11.25 miles from Noses Point to Crimdon Dene, approximately 8 and a half hours to complete it.
Is it possible to get a detailed map of easington colliery to seaham coastal route as I would like to do the walk with my children on bicycles as I've forgot the way I'm a deanside lad live at plee now thanks for your videos love to watch hope you can help
Hi, appart from a detailed walkers map the only ones I know of that deal with the East Durham Coastal Footpath is the selection of downloadable PDF's that can be found here, which also include some information about each area, hope they help 😊
