The game is pretty easy honestly.. u can just play on rookie mode until u pick up on some things its very basic.. It seems like alot.. But madden is a very simple game.. Ive been playing madden since like 95.. We definitely need a new NFL game

Oh my god.. been a fan of both NFL and madden games since I was about 16 17, my buddies used to rock nfl back on sega mega drive.. this is old old school madden blitz and shit.
I loved madden 98 on playstation and to me playing this new style of madden on pc with an xbox controller i felt really confused as I never understood the game dynamics and the basics ARE important in this time and day.
I was constantly getting picked, You're a life saver and a game changer for me with the advice thank you SOOOO much bro for making the game fun again.
Great video as always Eric, you took me as a player to a whole new level, this is my second year playing maden. I have some questions abount scheme, the difference between types of defense (3-4, 4-3) and what type of player put on the positions WR1 and WR2 more catching stats and WR3 more speed. CB1 and CB2 more speed and CB3 more cover, that type of information that i would like in a video! Keep the great work, appreciate it!

The tip you had in the running video about using subs in packages like subbing in linemen for tight ends, that shit has improved my run game by a ton. I throw in another guard or tackle instead of a tight end and find myself getting like a guaranteed 5+ yards per run

I truly miss playing Tecmo bowl both as an adolescent and again later as an adult. Looking to get back into playing video game football and while I know the two games are worlds apart I'm willing to give Madden a shot and try to rekindle those wonderful memories of yesteryear.

Hey bro I wanna say first of that you have helped me so much I started playing madden last year because a friend of mine Convince me to get it he taught me some but watching your videos have helped a lot man, I really wanna say is thank you and keep making these videos man. You should also think about doing a defense for dummies as well going over how to change the Coverage of the defense and how to do it and stuff like. Might not make a video on it but I just thought I could give an idea maybe but thank you again man you are the best.
Very useful video. I think a lot of Madden veterans don't realise that you can get Madden on the PC for the first time in 10 years or so. Last time I played a Madden game was about 1994/1995, so a lot of this stuff is useful. I've mostly been doing MUT Challenges as they do a reasonable job of easing you into the game.
Since this is first time Madden has been released on PC in a decade please keep these beginner tips coming. They help many of us immensely.

When motioning a WR, you can also hold B or circle (depending on n the system you have) then you the D pad or joystick in the direction to of the WR u want to get to him quickly

Well you could also choose a player for motion by holding the circle/B button and directional button or left analog as well correct? Faster than cycling.

Hey Eric, do you ever get this issue I'm having where your player(usually running back) will get touched and will break the tackle but then will immediately fall to his knees with nobody touching him? It ends the play on me and has stopped me from scoring or gaining big yards on many occasions.

QUESTION: on older Madden’s I could select R2/RT and then up on R joystick for play art but on 18 and 19 it brings up a ring of my players on the field...

Lots of thanks for this Eric. Trying to get into (American) football at the x attempt. Some of the lingo is baffling but I'm making headway. Playing on PC with an XBox controller. Hopefully this will help. Being old and English can have it's disadvantages (also trying to get into NHL 19 which I got as a freebie from XBox). Who knows I may get Madden 20 - that'll be out on PC too??

I've been playing a modded, Madden 08 for the last 10yrs so I'm not very good with the newest version. Two things I'm finding that I can't figure a way around. First is running. Run blocking in this game is horrible! Even the CPU team has issues running the ball.
The second thing, is the stupid QB bunny hop, 2 step drop pass animation. Right after I snap the ball, the QB takes 2 or 3 steps back before I get control of him. I HATE this. Many time I'm sacked before I even get control of the QB. I liked older version where I get control of the QB immediately. This is something else I don't know how to work around.
I took a lot from this, hopefully it will translate to my game

Hey dude, i am gonna ask a few questions regarding the rules of this game. I have been playing Madden NFL 2004 on PC and there are some stuff i can't figure out. I hope you can assist me and help me read the game well.
1) What does audible do? When am i supposed to use it? How to use it?
2) When i hold down A key on the keyboard, the receiver keys appear. One of the receivers is highlighted in this case. But sometimes i can not pass any ball even though keys are displayed on top of the players. Why not?
3) What is swat ball featured used for? For instance, i mark a spot or a player in the field by moving that thing(by default "W" key is assigned) in the field but then i do not know how to make it work (a circle which contains sticks inside looking like a targeting in a shooting game). any ideas?
Audible is rlly good in multiplayer. You pick a play, and of you dont like the play, if you misclicked, you can change it
How Do You Put The Lineman Or Corner Back In QB Contain?
I literally can't even return a punt ten yards in training mode. Best I can do is nine yards and 35 inches, but most of the time I get tackled the instant I catch the ball because the ball has about thirty seconds of hang time.
I've never watched football or played or watched/played Madden. I don't understand and I wish I did. I'm doing all the research I can.
is there no kicking line on this madden? few of my friends say its not showing up i know for a fact its not showing up for me cause i loss a game because of it lmao do you know if they said anything about a patch? also i feel like im a pretty good madden player but for some reason i feel like i cant get enough pressure on the qb even with a blitz and my opponent ends up getting too much time to play maker and still get yards any tips?
Goods Guys I think you don't have the kicking meter when you are All Madden. And block sheds increased this year so the defensive line would get to the quarterback quicker.

Goods Guys you may need to start usering a LB or the spy then bro. Man coverage this year is way better this year so you can lean on your CBs while you focus on that QB pressure.

Goods Guys I'm on Xbox 1. This year I noticed I didn't have to put extra time setting up my secondary. They work well by themselves until you run into a squad that's very pass proficient then you switch up and start helping them. But on the average you wanna be usering that LB. If it's a run play you have space and time to hit stick for the fumble. It's easier to get a fumble when the RB is using the turbo which is what every RB does after clearing the DL layer of your D so you usering the LB will be amazing for fumbles. Middle passes are almost automatic with good timing. You user the LB and clog that middle up and pick off any drag, slants, in routes or hitches. Those are bread and butter plays for average players to intermediate players. Easy to hit. Easy yards. Hard to adjust to. So you user the LB and impact what they do. If you pick and cause a fumble, the other player will begin respecting your defense and being more careful meaning he'll use more time to throw or less cuz he's antsy. The faster be throws the more bad passes he'll put up for picks. The slower he goes the more sacks you'll get due to block shedding being up this year. Hope the advice helps you out bro. CZcams usering a LB video. It's hard at first. Little bit of a shock as to how much is going on. But when you get used to it...automatically takes you from an average player to intermediate. It's that necessary of a skill. Or safety. One of those 2 should be who you user.
