    Honestly, any of the alpha titans could solo the Pacific Rim universe. Even the smaller titans like Rodan would win under most circumstances. The weight difference is too drastic. It might be even more interesting to imagine a confrontation between a Monsterverse titan with the Pacific Rim Kaiju. Godzilla would probably end up spawnkilling any Kaiju that emerges from the breach for years before humanity even realized that an interdimensional alien race was waging war with them (or trying to at least).

      The strength difference isn't that far off, though- watch Jaegers plow through buildings and such, while a building stopped Rodan cold, they're actually the stronger than the non-alphas. And honestly the 'official' weights for them aren't what we see on screen- they sink in water, that'd make them 10k+ weight. While the alpha titans are strong, the current jaegers in larger groups could put them down. At their peak there'd be multiple dozens of jaegers, which is a lot even with their size.

The intelligence factor is more icing on the cake. The thing about Jaegers in Pacific Rim is that they're always at the disadvantage because of Newt giving the Precursors the knowledge of their loadouts and weaknesses. That allowed Kaiju to be made to specifically counter all the Jaegers but the newly-restored and upgraded Gipsy Danger in the first film. it also meant that the Jaegers never get to show their full capabilities. For example, Cherno Alpha had nuclear flamethrowers and shock gauntlets, which never got utilized in the film. The plot of both films basically negate the strengths of the Jaegers for the Kaiju to be a threat by insta-killing all the defenders but the chosen protagonists.
    The Jaegers were also designed to be on the same scale as the Kaiju they were dealing with. Any 'new' Monster-verse Jaegers would presumably be made to Titan-scale (and possibly require 3-4 pilots each, the specifics on that are weird between the two films since the third pilots tend to control extra limbs or abilities). MechaGodzilla itself was essentially a Jaeger, to the point where it's pilot was essentially drifting via Ghidorah's psychic skulls and a satellite connection. You build a Rim-verse Jaeger to scale with Monsterverse Kaiju with equal loadouts and you basically have Jet Jaguar.

Sure he might have some issues in the first contact, but dissengaging wouldn’t be an issue since none of his opponents can realistically pin or caugth up to him and Kong is extremelly crafty, he will find a way around a problem. Plus he is no stranger of facing groups from fighting the Skullcrawlers. Plus their is still the issue of Kong being abble to easily one shot the jaegers. @@florians9949 Gypsie Danger has distant weapons though. A few shots of its Plasma canon ripped of the arm of one Kaiju. And while the Kaiju is a monster created for battle with multiple brains, nearly no bleeding and fear, Kong is just an animal on steroids. Rippinhg off an arm of Kong means instant death for Kong. Also Kong might be smart. But Humans are hundred times smarter. Kong would be an easy target for Jägers such as Gypsie Danger or Cherno Alpha with their range weapons, even when they are facing him alone. Probably every Mammal-like Titan would be an easy target for them due to their weak skin compared to their strong weapons. ALso consider that Kong might be strong, but those Jägers are made out of metal. A normal human with metal plating armour will easily withstand an axe hit of an hypotethically armed Gorilla, while the Gorilla will definitely not withstand a hit with a sword. The size comparison between Kong and Jägers to a Gorilla and humans is quite fitting actually. Probably only the non-mammal like Titans with hardened and plated skin like Godzilla and Gidora whille provide a struggle even for multiple Jägers.

    I'll admit, I love Pacific Rim Jaegers a lot, but they would definitely have a very hard time to fight against the monsterverse titans primarily because they are larger, weigh more and have better range of powers and it would always favour the titans. The only way the Jaegers would stand a chance is if they were as large as Mechagodzilla and had powerful weapons for long range, mid range, close range and CQC. On one hand, titans like Kong and Mothra would definitely team up with the Jaegers and the big G would be a 50/50.
    Having said this, I absolutely love both these universes and I'm happy that you guys have done a video on this hypothetical scenario. I hope you do more videos on the Jaegers and the Kaiju's from Pacific Rim, perhaps maybe pit the Kaiju's against the Titans and see how the Precursors (the guys that created the Kaiju) would deal with the Titans. If they were in the same universe, I would think that the point of the Jaegers would be to assist "friendly" titans. You would have them in squad formations and armed with powerful ranged weapons like the plasma cannons that Gypsy Danger had in the first movie, and probably with large hand held melee weapons, shields, and large "rifles and shotgun" type weapons that the jaegers can wield the way a person wields a firearm. Their job would be to assist the friendly titan with harrying and distracting long range fire on the enemy titan. Basically the same job that Monarch jet fighters and other conventional military assets do in the monsterverse.

    Considering the Non Alpha Titans;
    Skullcrawlers would be a fair fight, and would probably be a average Jaeger encounter, with the 'Big One' being pretty fair and the one Mecha godzilla executed being a difficult yet possible encounter.
    Mothra would be extremely difficult for even a troop of Jaegers to take on (though likely not impossible, as her wings are not the most durable things), but her Larva form would get stomped tbh.
    Rodan just f's up the Jaegers, I severely doubt even 5 would have a chance.
    Ghidorah is the epitome of an unfair fight.
    The Muto's just emp and auto-win, unless Jaegers are emp resistant I'm not totally sure; but even if they are, Muto Prime f'ing bodies just as hard, if not harder than Godzilla.

    Considering the Jaeger’s massive disparity in weight, there are really only three titans that I think the Jaegers could kill or defeat.
    Scylla: Her spindly legs present a notably exploitable weakness, as they could potentially be cut off one by one. The Jaeger’s should probably be cautious as to not get impaled though.
    Amhuluk: As strong as Amhulk is, we can’t pretend he’s anything more than just brittle wood/roots and a very much stabable head. The slower and tankier Jaegers would likely get picked off pretty early on however.
    HokMUTO: Assuming all of the Jaeger’s are unaffected by the EMP blasts made by the MUTO’s: The male is basically on par with a Category-II kaiju. He wouldn’t even have the density and durability advantage.

      I think it’s also worth also mentioning Behemoth as, well… an honorable mention, as Behemoth is rather sluggish and could be evaded quite easily by most of the Jaegers. The reason I say he’s an honorable mention however is because it is hard to tell how durable Behemoth is. Let alone the fact that Behemoth is of similar muscular density to Godzilla. Kong can barely take normal attacks from Godzilla, such as biting and clawing, since he is just flesh and bone. He doesn't have damn near indestructible scales, which can really only be penetrated or damaged by specialized weaponry. (i.e. Kong's axe or Mecha's beam) So there's no way he's tanking a damn asteroid.
      In terms of power output, even with his axe he can't really do as much damage as Godzilla can. During GvK, Kong was indeed able to damage/destroy many buildings, be it either through attempting to damage Godzilla or from just throwing his weight around as he was running from Gman's atomic blast. But even then, most of the buildings he jumped on weren't even destroyed. On the other hand, the aforementioned atomic blast very cleanly cut through and destroyed many buildings. Even 2014 Godzilla was able to bring down a giant skyscraper with just a swing of his tail. And do I even need to mention what happened when he flamed-up in KOTM?
      So personally, I don't believe Kong is on the same level as the Gman. Then again, I don't really know just how this powerscaling thing works, and how things are categorized. I mean, they both are alpha titans and they both are said to be capable enough to rule the titans. We should at least keep that thing in mind that Kong is on the level of Godzilla.

    Just my thoughts.
    *Against Kong:* Kong has Survived far tougher weapons and attacks than anything any of the Jaegers can dish out. He's Faster than them in Combat Speed and Travel Speed, as he can jump around and Dodge as well as Catch Godzilla's Beam After it's been fired with his Axe. Godzilla's Beam is referred to as Cherenkov Radiation back in 2014, which means his beam Travels at around 75% the Speed of Light. Kong is also basically said to have human level intelligence thanks to the GvK Novel. His CQC (Close Quarter Combat) Skills far exceed any of the Jaegers as well. Kong could pull any of the Jaegers apart even without his Weapon.
    *Against Godzilla:* Godzilla is mostly the same case as Kong, Just Orders of Magnitude more Durable and Strong. He can match Muto Prime in strength who could mess around with Fault Lines and Whatnot. He's actually even Faster than Kong in Combat Speed, as Once he got Serious Kong couldn't do much to protect himself. Godzilla violated him. Add onto that the fact that Godzilla's Beam would easily sweep through any of the Jaegers, as he can Harm Ghidorah and Drill through the earth, as well as being stated to be capable of Killing the Female Muto in 2 Blasts. Godzilla could fall on the Jaegers and it'd be game over.
    *Against Mecha Godzilla:* Mecha Godzilla is the fastest of the 3 with his Rockets, He'd Blitz and one tap any of the Jaegers. He's not as durable as Godzilla as shown by the fact he got ripped apart by a 50% Charged Axe while Godzilla had an Axe Hit him in the mouth and Explode at 100% and he wasn't even knocked out. He was more Shocked than anything which is insane. Mecha Godzilla gives the Jaegers the Skull Crawler treatment.

    My issue with this video is similar to the one with Shin. It pretends these creatures are similar in battle stats (strength, speed and durability to name a few) but the issue is that is not the case.
    Both sets of Kaiju can take deep ocean moving nuclear weapons but there are massive differences. Godzilla suffered absolutely no damage from this, while even Cat 5 Kaiju like Slattern were horrifically wounded. While Jeager weapons can damage Kaiju like Slattern and the more powerful Mega Kaiju, Godzilla battled many foes capable of actually piercing his skin, while even at his weakest point a similar or maybe greater weapon did nothing. It is stated in the novel that when Godzilla blasted to the core, damage was kept to a minimum by him meaning that he was holding back, and not only was he holding back, he wasn't even at full power. The book states Godzilla got a half rest, meaning he was at half his capacity in 2019. This half powered Godzilla is then further halved when Mechagodzilla appears. Despite this, it's explained Godzilla fired with the same power he used to blast into Hollow Earth. MechaGodzilla overpowers this level of power, but we know a fully powered Godzilla and even one who didn't face Kong wouldn't lose this clash. Despite being weaker, Kong is able to withstand attacks from Godzilla and MechaG. This isn't even counting Muto Prime shaking the very planet and Ghidorah easily creating hurricanes that cover entire continents or even casually surviving an army barrage stated capable of wiping out a medium sized country.
    Now let's talk speed. While stated to charge 200-300 mph, Kong 400 mph and MechaGodzilla 500-600 mph, these creatures have battle speed that is significantly higher than their movement speed. Kong can react to, run from, block and dodge Godzilla's atomic breath. Radiation moves close to if not exactly the speed of light, but if you don't agree that it moves at speed that fast, Godzilla's beam still reached Earth's core in at most 3 minutes. This would mean it moves bare minimum Mach 83. MechaGodzilla and Kong are faster than that, but Godzilla can somewhat keep pace. Pacific Rim has no such speed feats nor statements. Plasma weaponry though should be capable of moving at 5,000-200,000 m/s or Mach 14.6 to 583.1. Unfortunately, as far as I have seen in both films, comics and the show, no creature can react to such attacks. Meaning the Monsterverse Kaiju would see the Jeagers in slow motion.
    For all intents and purposes, while it would be closer than Shin Godzilla, Pacific Rim is no rival of the power or speed of the Monsterverse.
    Things like build don't really matter in battles like this.

      You would need probably twice the tonnage of Jaegers to down a Titan reliably. So, 24 Jaegers to down Godzilla 100% of the time, 14 Jaegers for Kong, and 92 Jaegers for MechaGodzilla (Honestly, took half of the 650k tons listed on the wiki, since that seemed ridiculous).

    There are definitely some lower class Titans that a group of Jaegers (5-6 let's say which is already more than we ever see working at one time) could take down. Scylla could be overwhelmed with sufficient numbers and have her limbs cut off before being finished off and a fully grown Skullcrawler isn't nearly intelligent enough to deal with multiple targets at once but in both cases they take at least 1 or 2 Jaegers with them.
    That being said the majority of Titans are just obnoxiously more powerful. Rodan's too fast and strong and would have little issue speed blitzing them one at a time. Methuselah is a walking mountain and pretty much none of the Jaeger's weapons would so much as scratch him. Any fight against Tiamat will be in the water and that's the absolute worst place for a Jaeger to be in. Camazotz' sonic screech would just shatter the Jaegers from a distance. Then there's the Mutos which might actually just be the worst matchup of them all assuming the Jaegers are Mark-4 and up (all vulnerable to EMPs).

      I think Kong though would be no match even for a normal Jäger. Just look at Gypsie Dangers Plasma canon. A few shots completely ripped off the arm of that one Kaiju and while these Kaijus where made to battle till death and barely bleed from wounds with multiple brains, they dont care about such a wound. But Kong having his arm ripped off would lead to instant retreat and later bleeding out since he is basically just a normal animal on steroids. If Gypsie would see Kong and realize how massive he is, they would focus on keeping distance and blasting a few shots and then the battle is over. Kong may be smart but humans are hundred tikmes smarter. Also keep in mind that Kong may be bigger in size and bulkier, but those Jägers are made out of metal. Its like a 180cm 90kg Human battling a 150cm 60cm Human completely made out of metal. The metal human would easily win. Nearly every mammal-like Titan would be an easy target even for single Jägers. Godzilla and Gidora with their plated skin though... they might be a challenge even for multiple Jägers

    • @MMAddict39
      @MMAddict39 Před rokem +21

      @@sharkquark6252 Being made out of metal means next to nothing. The Jaegers are extremely lightweight at most topping out at 2,500 tons (Cherno Alpha). Kong is 90,000 tons of pure muscle and bone, the sheer density being able to withstand Godzilla's atomic breath which can literally punch a hole through the Earth's crust, yes Kong took damage from it but the without that density even a grazing blast would have cut him in half. Your example is far from accurate it would not be one human wearing metal vs a slightly bigger human this would be the equivalent of a human wearing very lightweight metal armour and being hit head on by a rhino.

    A monsterverse where Jaegers exist would, to me at least, imply that they were built to combat the titans instead of (or at least in addition to) the precursor designed kaiju of Pacific Rim. Given this premise, I would love to see how this would affect their tactics, design, and loadouts in this alternate universe as they would need to be catered to these far more powerful kaiju.
    As an example, assuming the Jaegers remain far inferior in proportions, does the Pan Pacific Defense Corp. create more disposable models that focus on long-range combat and quick ejection options for the pilots should the titans manage to close the distance? Or do they double down on the remote controlled Jaegers and skip pilots all together? Or hell, do Jaegers shift from a frontline defensive/offensive design into more specialized weaponry and team composition to counter and take down specific titans, then are proactively sent to destroy these titans before they can pose a threat?
    All this to say, fantastic content from you folks as always! The new 3d models are looking criiiiisp assssss fuuuuuck! And your analysis and commentary never ceases to entertain! Keep it up, and long live the king!
