North Texas family wants answers after soldier found dead in home

- Private First Class Katia Duenas-Aguilar of Mesquite enlisted in the Army in 2018. She had a four year old son and was stationed at Fort Campbell in Kentucky but had recently told her family she was planning on leaving the Army.
"She would already tell me that she's not happy over there and I wanted her to come back so we could make more memories," said Cecilia Ruiz-Aguilar, Duenas-Aguilar's sister.
But on May 18 Clarksville Police found her dead inside her apartment in Clarksville,Tennessee. Police ruled her death a homicide.
How can she just leave, then stay. You can't just quit. Doesn't make sense. Missing a lot of info.
Yes u can lol it’s a general discharge tho and of course u lose ur benefits and stuff too and if u started any schooling with ur GI bill u have to return it and any bonuses ❤️☝️ and u don’t receive VA benefits and no veteran status unless u were MEDBOARD 😊 (left the army with medical disabilities)
It’s hard to do this and uncommon because most soldiers want compensation for what they have been through.
You can also transfer between branches (reserve, active or guard) but they change ur contract. If u do this.

She could be discharged for any reason. “Failure to adapt” is something I have heard used but I have no idea what her paperwork says lol
