This song has been a source of comfort in my life when I felt shattered by the people I loved and trust. I lost myself and did not know where or who to turn to. Even though I felt I knew God well enough, these moments felt I did not know who he was. Constantly listening to this song, I was reminded of the love of God and how he keeps loving us regardless of our shortcomings and mistakes. I realized I needed him first in all I do and everyone in my life is temporary and is bound to disappoint me but there is always peace in holding on to him. I prayed he holds on to me even when I forget I need him😢. I realized he has me where he needs me and sometimes we ask for things or people who don’t deserve us yet God has his own plans for us. He gave me hope when all hope was lost. He dried my tears and gave me peace. He gave me strength when I couldn’t go on.
