Tip…. After you first start it let it run for 5 maybe ten minutes playing with throttle. Shut it off and leave it awhile … overnight works best. Add some more in the next day and takes her out and run her good . Works every time. 👍

Had a clogged pilot jet in my Suzuki. Would shut off as soon as i turned to choke off. Put some seafoam in it and was fixed in minutes.

You need to spray seafoam in your carburetor and let it hot soak for 15 minutes then drive it

Same thing with my quad, won’t idle without choke I suspected the carb to be clogged from sitting but it only sat for a month so the gas shouldn’t be that bad right?

Depends how old the gas is, temp of storage and etc… but unfortunately due to ethanol gas turning to gel it can clog a carb idle jet pretty quickly from my experience.

I think a lesson here is to run good quality gas, and replace fuel filters frequently.

I’m having the same problem. How much did you use?

Two or three ounces in a half empty tank.

2 ounces per gallon works well

Mine is clogged with bad fuel from sitting with the gas on, what do i do with seafoam to make it run without removing the whole carbeurator.

@@arberfilms5998 Unfortunately you’ll need to drain your gas tank and replace the bad fuel first, then maybe give this a shot to see if the seafoam helps. If it’s been sitting for too long you’ll have to rebuild the carb or at least probably remove the bowl and try spraying it out with cleaner.

@@ThingsHumansDo the pilot jet is only a little bit clogged i know this because with no choke it will try to start but will only pop, i added the seafoam bottle all of it to a almost full tank of gas on my 2003 yamaha kodiak ultramatic and it seems to be working ok.
