- For the first time since 2017, a handler fell during the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show agility competition. Ripple’s trainer, Daniel Haddy, fell trying to direct the Boston Terrier out of the tunnel section of the agility course. Despite the mistake, Ripple and Daniel finished the run and celebrated together afterward.

What did you think about Ripple’s performance?
Mickey mouse performance
Which one is Ripple?
Adorable, and amazing.
@@realrunningdog_5812 You must mean the dog. Yes.
Loved it
Ripple goes back and checks on him. Boston Terriers are the best!
"The American Gentleman"
They really, really, really are. So cute and full of love....and energy.....and ....farts. Gotta love em!
I agree
I have 5 Boston’s, they are such a great breed!!!
@@lauralove6439 I have one but used to have two. The other was super old though
Honestly, the important thing is that he got up and finished. Also, the dog knew to check him. I’m glad both are ok. Ripple is freakin adorable.
The dog was just continuing to get directions like its trained to.
I'm glad owner didn't fall on Ripple. Was cute making sure owner was okay
@@gr8daynegb ... the guy is its handle ffs, its just waiting on the next command.... why are yall looking so deep into this 😄 🤣 😂
@@maurice2014 Have you ever owned a dog in your life? They do, shocker, form bonds with their owners/trainers and can and do express concern when they're injured. I'm sure Ripple was watching for a next command but that doesn't mean she wasn't also checking on him
Some people feel like the most important thing in this is to finish with a great time. Other people to finish at all. For Ripple, it was just to make sure their handler was okay!
The dog is looking for a command.
@@genetsandjazz yeah everyone in the comments are dumb
@valerii The only stupid people are you two for not understanding basic dog body language. He crouched down, ears back and gingerly walked over to him. That's called concern, not waiting for a command. Dogs aren't toy robots, try learning about them some time.
@@kaylawoodbury2308 The dog was clearly confused. Stop acting like a tough guy.
@@genetsandjazz That dog doesn't need a command to know what to do. Boston's are incredibly intelligent. The dog was leading the handler through most of that course.
Ripple's "I love you stretch" at the beginning and her concern for her dad when he falls. No love like Boston Terrier love!
Pitbull love is topz
@@goddaiva no staffy love is the besg
What a pro. Its like he knows stretching will loosen him up for the competition.
The stretch at the beginning is precious!
Amen!
Dog needs to do more work with human on his agility
😂😂😂
Poor guy. I bet that was heartbreaking. They did wonderful. We all fall down sometimes. It's how you get up and finish that matters. What an inspiration! 💝
0:35 He could have seriously injured or killed that dog. Not cool
He had a leg brace on too...
Pooh, he almost crushed that little doggie! Not acceptable, get another handler !
Sislertx
Exactly should have recused himself!
Dude got puppy kisses he’s all better now.
So glad he missed falling on little Ripple. Hope handler is ok.
God that could have taken this from funny cute meme to tragic, traumatising clip pronto.
ripple would’ve been crushed!
Not like anyone rushed over to see if he was okay at end
@@centralscrutinizer5848 so true. At least dog or man was hurt.
At that man's age...that had to hurt. I can take a simple tumble and hurt for a week.
Give him props for finishing and for showing the love and what it’s really all about at the finish. 🐶
He could have killed that dog
Reading comments, there are those who think it's hilarious and then those of us who have owned Bostons and are choked up at the love and dedication the dog shows to her owner. Rosebud, I miss you every day.
It's been many years and I still miss my Eddie every day.
I miss my Lola.
I got choked up reading your comment. RIP Rosebud
Tear in my eye reading that as my Boston Sookie is snuggled into me. Boston's are such special doggos
Aww. That's my late grandma's name. 💕
Ripples life flashed before his eyes
Love how Ripple stopped to make sure her hooman was ok❤️ dogs are just simply amazing souls🐾❤️🐾
Or he's looking for the next commands.
Ripple is too agile to let the guy fall on her
Aw, poor guy. I bet he was devastated that he fell and ruined their run. But Ripple still did an amazing job. They clearly have a very sweet bond.
The weakest link in dog shows is always the humans, never the doggo.
😂😂😂 I definitely didn’t see that coming
@@markymarksthirdnipple8305 lobo getting distracted by the cameras three times during his run will live on in my head forever 😂😂😂😂😂
Righttttt
Try telling that to the basset hound owners 😂
Aahhwww, poor guy, hope he’s ok, lil Ripple stopped to check on his master, so sweet!!!!
Not master....his daddy..or leader..please...
Master? This is not 1864
@@myranaam8562 We're talking about dogs, not slaves. Go home, snowflake.
Ripple was like a little rocket right out the gate. I was hoping they would have won. Hands down the best ending. Sweet kiss, what a good dog.
Dogs never judge... They just love want to be love. We can learn so much from these dogs. Good job to both.
You should see how my 2.5kg dog looks at me when I sneeze. That is judgment in it's purest form.
I’ve watched this video about 60 times since this happened. Everything about this video is hilarious. The beginning stretch, the fall, the commentary with the fall, and ripples Google eye at the end. Lmfao
lol
Rippler was almost RIP.
Ripple's almost became a pancake,
🤣🤣🤣🤣 ..😂
I can’t stop laughing
@@scavengertag not funny

*The pup just wanted to know that his dad was okay...even at the end he kept looking at his dad to see if he was okay!* Awwwww Such Love!
What a great dog. He even stopped to check on his owner. He has my vote.
This is the cutest Boston Terrier I’ve ever seen!!!
I watched this live and was blown away by Ripple's performance! The best part was the hug and kiss after the finish! Kudos to Daniel and Ripple!
I have two Bostons. One would excel at this. The other would fail spectacularly.
And you? 😉
LOL trying to get my Boston to watch and learn. Tried to get him to just jump over the stick. But he can run faster than any dog I have ever had. Love from a Boston nanny
My Bostons would have been quick as lightning if there was a biscuit waiting for her at the finish line!😂. Great dogs!!!
A testament to the pup's agility by swiftly avoiding getting squashed. This deserves a medal of its own.
Good job Ripple.....I've had Boston Terriers for the last 15 yrs and they are the best breed out there!
Just got my first Boston 3 months ago. Love this breed. I have found my forever breed now haha. I will only own a Boston now
Yer gonna love them my friend.... My first guy Thor, he was my first dog and if it wasn't for my gf I don't think we woulda got through the first 6 months. I didn't realize how much responsibility he was... But I'll NEVER forgot him! His IG is @thorthebostonterrier
@@diskod50 Sorry for your loss! We lost our first one 6 yrs ago. He still holds a place in our hearts (and we found our forever breed too lol! They're just....so special!)
That’s the kind of thing that would happen to me, except I’d also break my arm and cry on national television.
I have a Boston terrier and the one thing about Boston's is that they have great agility!!
It's so precious how the dog came to a halt and stayed with his owner to see if he was all right, when he fell!
You have to be in decent shape to do this. The kinesiology support tape can only hold together just so much.
It doesn’t matter that the handler feel the pup did so good he was so well trained and his owner and him are the perfect duo they both got right back up and went again that’s amazing.
Ripple is so amazing! Boston Terriers are the best! I agree!
Agreed!
Ripple was fantastic even stopping to check on his human, pure love 🥰
HER human
@@jamesclifford2810 o dear what a catastrophe
I love how she showed her concern for her Handler’s fall. 😍🥰👏❤️
Ahhh, I don’t know what it is about those little dogs, but they just have the biggest hearts ♥️
Ripple is the best! What a fabulous pup. Patient, focused, fast, AND caring.
And that’s why I love dogs. Second his handler falls, and quickly becomes about his handler. Good, dog. Good, dog.
The thing about a BT is the unconditional love and need to please their handler...they're amazing dogs! 🥰🥰🥰🥰
It's okay Sir
Still, you manage to finish what you've started and it's all that matters.
Kudos to Ripple and her handler!
It doesn’t matter, all we wanna see is dogs; we don’t care who win; we all do just by watching cute dogs ❤️👍🥰🐶
So true 🐕🐶
Aww...Ripple comes back to check on his person. He wins in my book!!! 💯👏🥇
Aw. I feel for that trainer. Such a sensitive, sweet baby must have a sensitive and sweet handler. I hope they keep competing ❤️
It’s okey, Ripple said and goes back to his run. And woah, Ripple did it perfectly! Congrats!❤️💕😘
HER run
@@jamesclifford2810 their life’s business. Not yours.
Ripple is SO FAST! So adorable.
Poor thing could’ve been RIP-ple. Great finish though.
What a beautiful dog. He’s so cute when he hops through.
This little guy is a champion at heart. If I ever cross your path at the dog park, You sir deserve a treat a high five round of applause. Phenomenal performance, and so full focus on the agility corse. Great job to the handler and the pooch. Cheers buddy
I love how the doggie stopped to check if the man was okay. 🐕 💓
She’s a sweetheart! Very impressive!
Ripple was flyin'!
He was so concerned that he checked on his owner and only remembered to go the other way on the obstacle, and he finished strong!!! Ripple is intelligent and has a heart of gold. You can tell him and his owner have an absolutely faithful friendship
That was *amazing*! I can’t believe how well Ripple did even after an interruption like that😍
What a sweet boy 💙. He's like ‘Dad, are you okay???’
I love Ripple and his owner! Win or lose it doesn't matter because of the bond between the two of them. Owning a Boston is a great experience.
I'm watching this as my Boston terrier is snoring next to me lol. Ripple did a great job!! And props to owner I'm glad he is ok. You'll win next time!
Dude already won , look at that beautiful dog! We had a Boston, Rosebud, I still miss her every day.
@@markh6413 aww I love that name rosebud!! May I ask a hard question? At what age did rosebud go to doggy heaven? My little guy is 12 he's very healthy but I'm not very sure on Boston's life expectancies.
@@Marieq Hi, thanks. No easy way to answer and I know many live much longer, but Rosebud was just over 13.
Gosh, don't they snore. Our boston loves to go into the woods and sniff deer and coyotes. She's in heaven....
The handler spent so much time making sure Ripple was in top shape, he forgot about himself.
Sometimes you just fall, bro.
@@zumeraaa look at his calf. He's taped up from a previous strain or injury. Guy needs to do agility training himself, he can't move the way he needs to. Some people have soft ankles, the weight doesn't help, but either way he just proved at the height of performance his body failed him. Back to training to meet his dog on a level performance field.
@@benjamingardner3314 I don't know, I think he just fell Detective.
Ripple is so cute. His handle handled the situation like a pro, got up, and finished the race. Wonderful!
As a newbie in agility, I am glad to see this. Anyone can fall, but to give it your all after a fall is inspiring!
What a good dog waiting for his owner. He won in my eyes.
Awww.... that's a shame. I hope he didn't hurt himself with that fall. They still finished and that's the important part... ❤🐶
I think most people are missing the fact that the dude was more concerned about falling on his dog than the fact that he fell. Everyone with small dogs knows what I am trying to say.
I'm not even a dog guy, but that is the cutest thumbnail ever. Go ripple!
The cute way the dog runs and jumps. I just kept hearing tink, tink, tink ,tink, tink the whole time.
Love Boston's!
OMG ripple has stolen my heart! too cute!! 😍😍
I miss my Boston so much since she passed.
Same, my Coach was the best dog I ever knew. I was so crushed when he died, but i think I'm finally in a place where I want another dog more than I fear the pain of losing one again.
Sportsmanship at it's finest nevet leave a Teammate behind.
RUFF!! RUFF!!
Ripples looked at him like really guy you messed up my run
The way she stops to check on him is so cute .Boston's are the best breed ever
They both did amazing

What a great dog and recovery
Awe ! He made sure his dad was OK....such a handsome boy Ripel .
Great job to them both! Hope the guy is ok!
Such a sweet Boston! Love his performance!
He's like "You OK poppa????"
I love the name! It is so fitting that his name is Ripple! Our names and words are powerful and his name is exactly what it means. He gives off a ripple effect filled with Love, grace and humility. I love when Ripple stops to make sure his handler is ok before he gets going again ❣
I'd rather my dog check on me if I fall than to win!! 💘 Awesome how Boston Terrier makes sure he's ok before proceeding!!
Awwww so cute. And so smart! I love my Boston. Seriously the best dogs ever! He’s my lil mamas boy 🥰

That was amazing! Sorry you had the fall but what an incredible job you guys did!
I just love everything about this little BT ❤
what a good boy! he waited for commands , and his so cute!
I have had a Boston in my life since way before I was even a thought in my mom's eye. My grandfather used to breed them in the 1920's -40's. My momma Boston has outlived two of her pups and at 14 3/4 years old is still the best! She is blind, has CHF and had back surgery a few years ago but is still our sweetie.
Wow super Bossie you sure was awesome! I wish Agility had of been around here in Oz way back in late ‘80s. I had a Bossie who would have loved it. All the best 💖
Amazing dad
Both beautiful.
Awwww! He was concerned about his human! Bless him. ❤🐾
OUTSTANDING! The Best! Hope her awesome Handler is ok. She rocks! Sharing it on FB!
Why does the dog not get a re-do if the handler accidentally interferes with the run? I don't know anything about this kind of stuff or the rules. But I feel like it wasn't the dog's fault so why not let him run again?
👍
I guess because they’re a team. And otherwise, if a handler noticed the dog had messed up or was going too slow, they could intentionally interfere with the run so the dog gets a do-over
@@KL-ol8xf I see your point but it's usually pretty obvious when someone really falls or something amd when they do it on purpose. Plus everyone can look back and see what happened before the fall and I'm sure someone would notice that they just so happened to fall after the dog had messed up. Are the scores and times they get only determined by the dog's performance, or are there points for the handler's performance as well? Like I said, I don't really know anything about these events.
@@Steviemarie502 It's a performance by both the dog and the handler - some rich dog owners hire professional handlers to run their dogs and increase their chances of winning something. The handler is demonstrating their skill at training and coordinating the dog on the agility course. Both dog and handler need to complete the course. Although most of these dogs can do the agility course with their eyes closed by the time Crufts rolls around each year, they're suppposed to follow orders and demonstrate obedience. (Human egos designed this competition - I agree, give Ripple another go!)
@@Steviemarie502 Have you ever watched a football match? Diving takes skills which I think dog owners would master in no time if it would benefit them lol.

Ripple checked on his owner. Some things are more important than the competition, and that bond is one of them.
Only dogs show that kind of affection and concern for their owners 😀
Aah, sweet Ripple. And the nicest Dad.😀
