    It took 2 years for me to find DyAnn and the realization that ditching the creamer was where the magic happens. The creamer was the dessert in morning I told myself, I couldn’t live without. Here I am since July 15/22 , I survived! I lost 25lbs, no more meds (HBP+cholesterol), ran a snowshoe race recently, able to play floor hockey with my 6yr old grandson and starting a course! I love this lifestyle! I know I could be slimmer but I am happy where I am at here and now! 57 year old November grad!

    This was speaking to me … I’ve reversed my morbid obesity in the last 4 years with keto / carnivore and fasting … but yes! This whole last year I have worked on that “ last 10 pounds “….while staying the same weight bouncing up and down a few pounds …

    That’s where I’m at now!! The last 10 pounds, I’ve lost 30 pounds but have stalled lately.. I still intermittent fast, I love it! I’m 59 and have had 6 kids,I’m post menopausal by 10 year’s without the need for HRT .. I am 5’8” I used to weigh 120 to 125 after my 2 but went up to 150 after my 3rd child . Then lost my oldest son who was 6 to an accident, it was super hard on me.. Then continued to gain up to 180 pounds, I had my 6th child at 38 .. I’m back down to 148 to 150 but I workout faithfully and I’m pretty muscular. I would look great at 140 pounds fit!! I now wear a size 8 jeans Not bad, I need to lose around my belly and belly button but I do have a flat stomach in my clothes ..

    Funny this popped into my feed. I’m 53 and been keto for 5 years but could not lose the last 8lbs until recently when I went OMAD. The best part is not the weight loss but how much better I feel physically but…yeah, no longer thinking about the “last 10 lbs” is also a factor.
    Honestly the benefits I experienced when I cut out carbs made the initial weight loss an added benefit - no longer the primary focus.
    Anyway, great video! You are very good at this :)

    ❤ I have lost 90 pounds with keto and occasionally if. I had one stupid problem. I would wake up about 2:00AM and snack. I am trying to quit that and it is helping. I am back down to where I want to be. God bless you and enjoy your chips but not too often. I enjoy your videos very much. 💝

    I've been intermittent fasting since 2019, combined with a vegetarian low carb diet. I don't weigh myself but I measured my waist and thighs. In the beginning I went from a 33 inch waist down to 28 inches and I felt amazing. I had stopped coffee/cream and processed carbs. Then I relaxed and got into mushroom coffee with plant based creamer, chips etc and my waist is now back up to 31 inches. I fast 20 hours a day during my work week and about 18 hours a day on my weekends. I have given up the mushroom coffee now. Baby steps

    The one thing I was having a hard time giving up was my small treat every afternoon whether it be one small piece of chocolate, one small scoop of ice cream, one or two cookies or maybe a few chips. I jumped in your class a week ago and have cut that small treat down to once a week to see if that is what is holding me back from losing my last 5 to 10 lb. This week I lost a pound and a half. We'll see how the rest of the month of July goes. I am all in! With my fasting long feasting well and training smart!

    Girlfriend! I have stopped weighing myself. I'm healthy! I got my weekly workout in tact and food in tact! And my intermittent fasting in tact. I fast 16/8. OMG! I'm shrinking! I'm not stressed out anymore! Finally at 55 years old, my body is going where it's supposed to be without me weighing and counting calories. Finally! Yah!!!!!!!! I will measure myself in August. I have notes when I was 128 at 5'6". I kept the measurements. When I get those same measurements, then I know I'm back under the 130's. Yah!!!!!

    Thank you for this video. I was stressing about the last 10 lbs instead of being happy about my 35 lbs weight loss. Or being happy and content. I am a diabetic so more healing to do but I have made progress my A1C is down to 6.7 from 14. So I will be learn to be happy for my losses. Thanks again for the mind set reset. Cheers from CA.

    Man this spoke to me I'm new to the channel .! I figured out what was going on . Thank u so much I'm a faster Been doing for years love it use to do 16/8 now Im switching to the 20/4 Im enjoying it so much so I was doing creamer sweet and creamy chips and cookies 😳cutting them all out I use to drink my tea with nothing going back Thank u so much ❤️💃🏾👍🏾

    Gosh social situations is where I struggle . I feel obligated or pressured around food in a social event or work because as it is I get looks from co workers when I don’t eat something like sweets on bdays 🙁

      @@DyAnnParham wish it were at easy somehow at my work if you pass a work event your not being a team player . If I just go for a bit and leave early I’m also not being a team player according to my boss .Unfortunately I can’t control his way of thinking . I’ve even been pulled to his office for those ridiculous reasons. :(

      @@jeepgrl4888 wow, that is a boss I would not work for. Have talked to him? Or gone to your HR office. That is bullying and harassment at it’s finish. Food should never be forced on anyone, anywhere. You can physically be at the event AND not eat!

    Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. 1. I feel a tightness in my throat after about 15 or 16 hours of fasting. 2. After I break a 48 hours fast, I get diarriah. I would love to hear your thoughts. Thank you, once again. You are awesome!

    I started doing the 20:4 fast most days. I have been trying to get all my calories in but struggling with feeling so full. I saw one of your videos where you say you don't need to eat your whole days worth of calories because your body is essentially eating your fat while you fast. How do you know when it's too much vs too little food. Also I'm planning on joining your course in June.

    I've been doing IF since August of last year and lost 22 lbs and kept it off.....my problem is once I break my fast I struggle to stop the eating!!! HELP!

      Exactly! I decided on this new health journey due to health issues (reversed T2D...but ignored it until vision was affected, ankles swelling, horrible headaches,etc. But... in last 9 months reversed it, all symptoms gone and the wt loss of 61 lbs was just a huge bonus!! Look and feel 20 yrs younger at age 63 😊

    Well I’m listening to right now I am eating cabbage soup twice today I made it myself it’s all just vegetables as you know garlic chilli made it very hot all veg which you can think of that pepper cauliflower broccoli cabbage half a cabbage and I’m losing weight I lost 2 lb when I when I eat for six days just cabbage soup I’ve lost 11/2 pounds altogether don’t got 3 1/2 to go out to lose a stone so I am really try have to try out these things I have to make up your mind and stick to it I’ve got to get any cabbage dark cabbage I managed to get one today one todayThey’re just coming in so I’ll grab one of the 90p and I make the cabbage soup and meat on it right now I’m hoping to lose weight twice a day off till till next Saturday morning thank you that might help your butt your people to eat cabbage soup it’s quite nice when you put the ingredients in thank you I’m still listening to you thank you

    Wow! So happy to stumble into your channel yesterday. I have just recovered from the dreaded Covid-19 couple of weeks ago and decided to go back on IF. I did the 16/8 before, yes I did lose some weight but I was still having health issues especially going through peri-menopause. So I decided to try 20/8 as you recommended for hormonal reset. Today is my first day and looking forward to meeting the new me in due course. You and so many of your followers and testimonials, inspire me. Thank you for your motivation!

    I started January 20 ,2022,I did carnivore diet for a month and I lost 11 lbs but my weight stay like that until now (plateau ). I don’t exercise but I’m not sleeping well at night. I’m doing TMAD brunch at 930-10 Am and lunch at 3:00 pm . But I started yesterday biking In my Norditrack for 30 minutes at 3:30 pm Pls let me know what to do to loose more weight .i wanna loose 15 lbs more .avocado and blueberries are the fruits I’m eating and no sweets and no sodas . I drink black coffee 3 times a week and I’m 59 yrs old

    With healing, I hear you say that if your physical body needs healing, fasting will support that first or prioritize this or that healing first before weight loss. I'm wondering, when you're emotionally healing, does fasting help or support whatever you need emotionally first (example, lower cortisol, help mitigate or lessen stress and tension and sadness), and then you start seeing more of the physical benefits of 20-4 fast?

      Could be! Cortisol is one of those pesky hormones that halts weight loss. If you concentrate on the healing it will happen.

    I really must be doing something wrong! I am 71, have the last 10lbs to lose, do 16/8 fast every day, eat basically Ketovore OMAD or 2MAD around 1200-1400 calories. Apparently that's too many calories because I haven't lost anything in months. I'm very confused. Nothing is working anymore & I'm starting to REALLY crave sweets which I never did. To confuse things even more my DNA test said I should be consuming mostly carbs (45%), then 33% fat, 22 protein!! Totally contrary to how I've been eating! I don't know what to do. I feel like fasting is just skipping a meal & being famished when I finally do eat.

      Yo me that’s not enough energy . Women eat such low calories. I eat 1700 minimum per day high fat low carb and good amount of protein. I’ve lost 58lb

      Fasting is so much more than just skipping a meal. It means, for me, I only eat between noon and four, but you pick a four-hour window that works for you. That means absolutely nothing except water from 4pm until noon the next day. You're asleep a lot of that time, so your body is doing the work. After a day or two you won't be hungry at all. Plan very specifically what you will eat during your window. It works!!

    I have been doing intermittent fastening for a couple of months I am type 2 diabetic I would like to lose about 50 to 60 lb I do pretty good on fastening but I think I'm still eating my bread and my coffee with cream those are the two things I need to stop doing but I am trying to eat low carb do you have any good advice for me and thank you for your videos and you look great

    Hello I am Eve from Greece. I am 63 and have been fasting for a while, I do not find it difficult to go 20/4 although I have tried up to 40 hours. I have a problem with my feasting as I cannot eat too much food. Any suggestions? Great work too.

    Maybe are bodies are very complex and a specific last pounds doesn’t exist because we are alive we are metabolic and alive is there really a last pounds idea

    I ate yesterday two toast with peanut butter but I think it is bad for me.. everybody says is good fat but it makes me feel bloated, The flip side is that I was able to do 20 hours fast since then. Any thoughts?

    Hi DyAnn! June '21 grad here. You mentioned thyroid being out of whack will prevent weight loss. Do you take thyroid medication or can IF and diet regulate thyroid? I have hypothyroidism and can't seem to lose weight, started meds a few weeks ago.

    When you say uncomfortable what do you mean. I will be hungry and uncomfortable but if I wait it passes and don' t return till after my 6:00 cut off time.
