this was the perfect video to help me chose, thanks for being so concise!
thanks guys for sharing...great info
Very helpful! Thx so much!
So happy I stumbled upon you channel. We were supposed to go to Hawaii May 2020, fly into Honolulu and fly out of Maui but, of course, it got cancelled. Can't wait to watch you other vlogs. Stay safe :)
If staying in Waikiki (Oahu), no car is needed. A shuttle will take you from the airport and also to a luau or the Polynesian Cultural Center. However, on every other island 🏝, a rent a car 🚗 is required, unless maybe staying oceanfront on Maui's Kaanapali or Walea at a resort and not exploring.
This is a great video! Thanks for creating this and its such an informational video for first timers!
Thanks for the info! Great video
I learned a lot thanks so much! 🙏🏽

Love living in nature.
Thank you for the detail video. It has been very helpful.
So am looking forward to visiting Hawaii someday! Love these islands! Hawai'i, Maui, Koho'olawe, Moloka'i, Lana'i, O'ahu, Kaua'i and Ni'ihau.
A nice couple. Enjoyed their tour.
This is the bar set for my videos!
You're wonderful people, Thank you
Thank you!
This is a great video! My first visit to Hawaii was in 1970, on a stopover on my way to Vietnam. Fell in love with the fragrances and the music, and the warmth of the Hawaiian people. Did my first hike on the Kalalau Trail in 1973! Kauai remains my favorite Island, but you beautifully highlighted some of the best features of all of the major islands. Another thing about your videos, is how adorable you are! The smiles and the joyful presentation of the islands would make anyone with a heart want to visit! So sweet, the way you feature your very cool son as well. Thanks for doing these videos. I'm ready to go back for my umpteenth visit to the islands!
Very well put together!
I loved the video very helpful😊
On May 2022 will be my first time on Oahu n Maui.. thank you for all the advices you have in your channel. Gracias ☺️
This is a tough one. I’ve been to 3 out of the main 4, O’ahu being the exception for now. I just got back from Maui, so it’s fresh in my mind, and Kauai and The Big Island are deeply ingrained in my memory and my heart. In my opinion, Maui has the best beaches, and the road to Hana is so worth waking up at 6 AM to get on the road. Great snorkeling, too. Kauai has the best hiking, Waimea Canyon being the top dog. It’s also more laid back than the others IMHO. I found it slightly more beautiful than the others, but only just. Big Island, Kona Specifically, has the best coffee on the planet. It’s almost worth traveling to Kona for the coffee alone. Again, just my humble opinion. It’s also got the most diverse geography, and there’s more to see than any other island. Ultimately, it doesn’t really matter which one you go to; they’re all absolutely gorgeous, and whichever one you go with, you won’t regret it.
Thanks for the great introduction!
Thank you for this, I love Oahu
Great video needed it!
Great video!! Thanks for the wealth of information!!!
Great channel! I think for us Maui is the best island and it was our first island. After traveling to the other islands I think I would have enjoyed them more if I wasn't comparing them to Maui.
Great video. Very informative in such a short amount of time.
Great video!
We love you guys ❤️🙂
Currently planning a trip! So appreciate this! Thanks!!!🎉
Enjoy the trip planning! Check out our website for more helpful resources!
Maui is the best as its not as over crowded as Oahu, nor as sleepy as Kuai.. No confused roosters crowing at all hours of the night too! ; )
Haha
I have to agree it's just the most relaxing
Im with you. Maui is also my favorite
This didn't age well
This is perfect!!! Exactly what me & my friends needed to help plan our trip. Thank you🥰
glad to help! have a great trip with your friends
Also for me one of the best videos here🤩 I’m about to plan my Hawaii trip and wasn’t sure which island(s) to visit.Your video helped me a lot ☺️
You are amazing! I have been searching around because everyone is giving me different suggestions for my first time to Hawaii so I keep feeling indecisive all over again. This helped so much and definitely plan on checking out your first timer itinerary. Thank you!!!
Glad to help. See our website for more info!
Good looking couple! First time watchers super happy with their choice! Thanks for giving us such direction for our honeymoon! Good work.
THE BEST VIDEO ABOUT ISLANDS!!!! thanks much
Mahalo!
Just been to maui to see my girl. Its amazing! The nature is breathtaking and the people there are very nice. Im moving there around February.
Thank you so much
Very through explanation. Tytyty👏
Hola América and family, thank you for this amazing channel. I am excited to visit Big island 🌴
Aloha yea it’s rlly fun!
You will love the Big Island! My favorite! ❤️
moving to Hawaii in 2021. This is the exact video I need. Thank you!
lol me too!
What a wonderful video! Made me feel like I was back on Oahu. I noticed on my trip to Maui that most people on the Ka'anapali side and different parts of town that they are very angry. Even at the resort, people there were nice yet dismissive. It was strange. I am aiming for the big island some time but Oahu takes the cake for me. I love to avoid Waikiki and the rest of my stay is wonderful.
A you tell me why you avoid Waikiki? I’m trip planing and trying to get all the advice. Thanks
Very helpful! Torn between Maui and Oahu. Can't wait for 2022 for this trip
Have a great trip! Hard to go wrong with either one. We have a fun quiz on our website if you want to play.
Definitely Maui! Oahu felt like a big city to me with many high rise apartments/condo buildings. I wouldn’t go back to Oahu
That’s my dilemma as well
Let's go to Hawaii 🏖️ and stay a while. Aloha 🌺🌺🌺🥥🍍🥰🏖️
❤️🫂🍍🥥🦸♂️🐳
Thanks for the information 🙏🏻❤️
Any time!
Hi Your dog sleeping in the background is so CUTE!!! Your son is so 🥰🥰🥰

Great content 👍🏽
Appreciated this very much! you gave such great context for what I needed to understand. Think I'll hit Maui first then hop around as I learn more, assuming I can pull myself away. Thanks!
Thanks for watching and enjoy Maui! See our island hopping video too

Awesome summary, guys! My wife and I are looking at Hawai'i for our first post-pandemic trip, and neither of us have been there before. Your video really helped!

Thx you 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Such a great video! I'm looking forward to visiting very soon! Keep up the great work!
Thanks so much. Have a great trip!
Oahu is the place to go! But then again, all the islands are great.
This is a great video. In 2013 we went to Oahu and this summer we’re going to Kauai with our now adult kids and their partners. I’m looking forward to having a more relaxed vacation this time around since we can let the kids go off on their own adventures. In 2013, instead of the Pearl Harbor Memorial we decided to book a private tour of the USS Missouri since my husband is a veteran. It was incredible! We were able to get pretty good pictures of the Pearl Harbor Memorial too, from across the bay. On the way back to Honolulu we found a great seafood restaurant and fish market called Nico’s Pier 38. I had the best Niçoise salad with seared ahi. My dream is to visit all the major islands of Hawaii. ❤
Thanks for sharing! Nico’s is still around. Check Pearl Harbor Aviation museum next time. Enjoy relaxing on Kauai!
Also Lost was filmed in Oahu
awesome video you two. Thank you for the insight.
Thanks for watching!
I’m so excited for my first trip to Hawaii (Maui) in December! I watch your videos and get even more excited lol
Have a wonderful trip! Nothing better than the first visit.
How was it ?? Any suggestions?
Yes, how was it? :-)
@@TheHawaiiVacationGuide Okay here's a maybe-stupid question: we can only afford one island. Do the main ones you mentioned all have helicopter tours? Because we have one disabled family member and that's her easiest way to "tour"
Edit: Took the cool quiz and we all got The Big Island. So we're checking out the info, thanks, cool website!
Lifelong resident!!! Born and raised. You have to visit Oahu Pearl Harbor, iolani palace and Honolulu first then move on. Visiting is nothing like living there.
We loved all the islands but Kauai is our favourite. Everyone should experience Waikiki. Maui is a great balance and you can visit Lanai. The Big Island was most surprising, I didn’t expect all the black lava. It didn’t feel like Hawaii until we got to our resort and when we went to Hilo.
I live in Hilo good choice!
Maui was my first island!!
Good job guys! I am a Hawaiian resident who appreciates correct information about our islands. Too many poor disinformation sites on You Tube.
Love your energy! You work awesome
Together. Great info! Feel called to visit the islands and trusting the universe will align me to get there ..until then i will watch your videos ❤️🌈💫🙏🏻
I said this to myself before the pandemic hit. The first thing I did was Google an all inclusive trip and then I knew how much to save. It was about 1,000 for me and I pay 1900 in rent monthly Idk it just didn't seem so expensive. So try taking one step towards preparing for it: pretend you're going tomorrow, what do you need? And start making moves, the universe won't be able to deny it then 😊
Maui no ka ‘oi 🌴😎🤙
That sounds like a awesome place to visit
These videos you have painstakingly created were a tremendous help in determining our recent Hawaiian vacation. Thank you so very much! I live in Alaska, so I’m spoiled with billion dollar views around every corner. Even the landfill/dump in Anchorage is gorgeous. 😂 But I must say, Hawaii has come the closest to Alaska in terms of breathtaking scenery. Every single wonderful thing you have ever heard about Hawaii …is 100% true. And the wondrous Hawaiian coffee…my word…there are no adequate words. I’m getting all choked up just thinking about Kona coffee. Look away… look away, I say! 😂 We stayed in Maui this past September & my jaw was on the floor for the duration of the trip. The condo was stylish-no canned artwork on the wall. It was so tasteful & well thought out. The smile never left my face. Love at first sight. I even felt like I could lick the bathroom floor at the airport in Maui with how clean they kept the facilities. I could see first hand how Hawaiians take great pride in their state as well as their attention to detail. Good. On. You!! 👏🏼 👏🏼 Alaskans & Hawaiians already have a common bond, so I plan to do my part to preserve that bond by spending as much time as humanly possible in the 49th & 50th states for the rest of my days. They are very, very special places-& imho, the finest on Earth. ♥️ 🍍 ❄️
Thank you so much fro the lovely comment and for sharing your trip. That is how I feel too. The smell of the islands is my favorite part. See you back here soon and thanks for watching! We do our best to capture the natural beauty.
We are in the process of planning our first trip to Hawaii this August, my partner and two teenagers. So excited for all the exploring and hiking and gorgeous scenery. I think this video has helped us determine Maui as the island we will visit for 6-7days, then maybe end up in Oahu for the last 3 days. Would you be comfortable sharing where you stayed? The accommodation is proving to be a tricky decision. Condo or hotel? We would love the extra space in a condo but the hotel will likely offer closer to beachfront and also pool… so many decisions!
May I ask which place you ended up staying at? Just looking for recommendations. Thanks!
❤Thank you for sharing beautiful Hawaii. One of our family's favorite places to visit. Love the sunny place and the relaxed culture there. We want to go back soon. ❤
thanks for watching and the comment!
Super helpful video! I absolutely love the way you structured this video with a summary of each island plus things to do on them. Thanks for sharing ☺️
Thank you!
My favorite is Kau'ai. We had a timeshare there for years and years! Maui is my second favorite, followed by the big Island and Oahu is definitely my least favorite, but you have to see Pearl Harbor at least once in your life.
Thank you so helpful
thanks for watching and leaving a comment!
I’ve been to most of them and still Maui feels like home
Bless you for finding your island...kauai is mine and hopefully Maui will feel the same for me too !!
I love that you guys sit in the ground in front of the couch 😂
I’m so excited I stumbled upon your website and videos! My husband and I want to go to Hawaii (maybe this year but sometime in the future at least). I am loving your informative videos and website! Maybe it will help us narrow down some choices when we do plan a trip :)
Thanks for watching and the nice comment!
@@TheHawaiiVacationGuide Your website says "Sharing", but you're charging me lol 27 dollars.
@@rich2209 We have tons of free content and itineraries on the website too!
Thanks for the great videos. I’ve been to Oahu twice and just love it I mean the beaches are ridiculous, one after the other after the other. floating around in the waves. we went in March last year and it was wonderful going again in March this year but to the big Island. thanks for the videos. love the kido. soooo cute.
Thanks for watching and the comment! Glad you are able to check out the neighbor islands too!
Just came back from Maui. Loved it. Thanks to ya guys. 🤙🏽
Glad to hear it Danny! hope you can come back soon, more videos are coming...
Kauai is my favourite!! :) they're all beautiful but Kaua'i's beauty is UNREAL. Can't wait to go back once Canada doesn't require us to quarantine for 14 days upon return :) thank you for these videos!!
I agree. Kaua'i is going to be the first on our list for island-hopping. We lost all of our footage (hard drive crash) from our July trip there so we need a repeat.
It's closed on lockdown even though nobody is in the hospital for covid. They have a total of 150 positive cases since March. It's not open for anyone.
I agree, Kauai is my favourite! We also live in Canada and would love to visit soon. This is the only island I could see is moving to.
@@lisaeveleigh658 yes Kauai would be lovely! If only it was easy for us to move there :( haha
@@cbayle we can dream. Lol
Hubs and I did Oahu first in 2019 and it was honestly perfect for us. I love to shop, take lots of pictures of everything, walk around, and of course - hit the water. Hubs likes hiking, relaxing, and eating yummy food. We did a lot in only a week (all the research I did was very beneficial) but also felt we got equal amount of time for refreshing while there. Would love to go back but would also love to see the other islands as well!
Hi. Can you share your itinerary at Oahu for a week?
What was your itinerary?
@@amzahfansuri5006 sorry for the delayed response!
Day 1 - checked in to the Hilton Hawaiian Village on Waikiki Beach, ate dinner, and headed to bed to get an early start the next day.
Day 2 - Drove to Waimanalo Beach, then to Halona Blowhole, & Halona Beach Cove (also called Cockroach Cove), bought a few groceries to make eating more affordable during the week, then back to the hotel for dinner & bed.
Day 3 - Headed to Kualoa Ranch for the Movie Sites tour, UTV tour, & had their ranch style buffet lunch on site. Next drove to the North Shore & visited the Dole Plantation and went to Waikiki Beach for the Hilton Hawaiian fireworks every Friday night.
Day 4 - Got up early to hike Diamond Head crater (don't miss the view there!), went to shop at International Marketplace for souvenirs, ate a sandwich in the car on the way to Waimea Bay & swam in the ocean and jumped off the huge rock there.
Day 5 - Visited Pearl Harbor & took the ferry to the USS Arizona Memorial, then drove to Aloha Stadium for the famous Swap Meet flea market, grabbed lunch at the Ala Moana shopping center food court, snapped some pictures at the King Kamehameha statue at Iolani Hale Palace (the HQ for the task force in the Hawaii Five-0 reboot TV show), then rested the rest of the evening.
Day 6 - Drove to Hanauma Bay (get there early) to snorkel & see the fish, ate lunch in the car, headed to Lanikai Beach (our favorite) for swimming/snorkeling and my husband got some great drone footage of the Mokulua Islands, got pizza for dinner and had a couple's massage, headed back to our hotel.
Day 7 - Went back to International Marketplace for coffee at Kona Coffee Purveyors & some more souvenirs, walked to the Duke Kahanamoku statue on the beach for pictures, went back to our room for lunch and packed, took taxi to dinner at Duke's in the Outrigger Hotel & walked around shops around that area (really cool atmosphere at night), had acai dessert at Banăn and went back to the hotel.
Tips: I would recommend not missing the Diamond Head crater hike, visiting the North Shore & Waimea Bay/Jump Rock, & Lanikai Beach. Those were our favorite things I believe and Lanikai wasn't as crowded as some other beaches. Just beware there is no public parking since it's in a neighborhood area so you may have to find someone who allows parking in their driveway and will charge you dearly for it - that's what we had to do. The North Shore has a more local vibe to it than the touristy places in Waikiki Beach - definitely a must do.
Things we did not do that we wanted to: Makupu'u Lighthouse trail, Hoomaluhia Botanical Gardens, Lanikai Pillbox Hike, & Kaneohe Sandbar. Worth looking into! If we had stayed 2 weeks we could have done it all.
We also chose to rent a Jeep to help us see more of the island and it was cost effective compared to taking taxis everywhere & helped us bring whatever gear with us we wanted. Also, the ABC stores everywhere have so much that you may have forgotten at home. Make sure you check them out while you're there.
Hope this helps! Sorry for the book haha.
