Love the rug, so pretty! And I think putting the rub and buff on those knobs really elavated the look of that piece and i love it! The secretary looks really nice in the living room also. I feel with all the changes you've made its really warmed up the space so well!

Beautiful room throughout. The rug is a great buy! I would move the secretary to the clock wall giving you more light from the window, and space for a chair. JMO

Don’t paint the lamp shade when you turn it on you will be able to see all uneven spots of the paint when you turn it on it’s horrible ❤👍

I painted 2 lamp shades (which I don’t regret. They look great with lamp turned off). But she’s right, looks sorta mottled when lamp is turned on.

Grandmas decorated old world it’s like a mix of French Parisian mixed in with French country they used. Talked French which I don’t know much of hahaaa. It looks nice I like the secretary’s desk but it looked better in the original spot you can put a olive tree by the window to add some natural decor

Your room has been warmed up! Very, very pretty! It’s amazing what a little rearranging and a little something new can do to renew and refresh a space! LOVE the knobs on the buffet…really levels it up! The secretary is beautiful! What a sweet husband to vacuum the old rug for you! I’ve been married for 51 years and my husband has vacuumed maybe 3 times (after I asked him to)! I didn’t do a very good job training him! 😉. I have the same basket on my coffee table with the same greenery, but have 2 deer in it. Loved this video, Nicole! TY for sharing and inspiring! Cindi (from WV). 🥰

Love your boys using the rug tube as a toy....such a boy thing to do.....Also when they rolled around on the new rug it was so typical of boys also. You have a wonderful family and are so blessed. Absolutely beautiful Nicole. I was an interior designer years ago, and I would definitely paint your dining room a nice warm accent color, to tie it all together. It doesn’t have to be dark, but something to bring it all together. Good luck!

I would take one of the colors from the rug and paint the dining room. Get paint chips and go from there. I would make it cozy as opposed to cool.

The rub and buff knobs add warmth to your buffet and they are visible now! Moving the secretary into your living room adds balance to the fireplace wall.
