There are 3 levels of reactions to Banjo.
1. Doesn't notice Jiggy. Still unsure of character until sillhoutte reveal.
2. Notices Jiggy, knows it's Banjo, but calls it a puzzle piece.
3. "JIGGY. ITS BANJO!"
EDIT: Seeing the rare characters doesn't count even if you followed the leaks. That wasn't confirmation. I too got excited seeing them but the jiggy was the confirmation. I'm only talking about what CONFIRMED Banjo here.
I mean, what else would the Banjo-Kazooie logo for Smash be?

Fire Sonic I enjoyed it as well but I do think they could’ve done a lot more with it. It was very tedious after awhile and by the time I beat it I just wasn’t having fun anymore but That’s awesome that you loved it

Actually, Nintendo broke the west with its Banjo; And broke Japan with the Dragon Quest protagonists.

The heroes appear to those from Dragon Quests 3, 4, 8, and 11. They’re named by the player in the games, but you can call them by their titles.
We have Multiple characters already in Smash that have other characters as Alt Skins.
Why is every reaction video confused by this concept?

3:02 the Final Smash is the heroes ultimate sword move gigaslash and if you're wondering those are people are also the main heroes from every Dragon Quest game.
ladynikkie Someone else also noticed it’s a gigaslash? First person I have seen yet. I think it’s a pretty awesome choice for a final smash. It is usually the final sword technique, aside from gigagash.

Since Banjo was supposed to be in the original N64 game, it's kinda the same scenario as Snake not making it to Melee, but across several more generations.

So the heroes from Dragon Quest are XI(The android 17 one in purple), VIII(The bandana one my favorite), IV(The green haired one) and III who is the most popular one for Japan I believe.

They shouldn’t really bother. It’s kinda boring. With occasional cutscenes that are about 20 or so seconds
Aqualee 7 it gets good when you have full spirits but wish it was more like Subspace, maybe this is a hint at it!
Besides gameplay detail is most important and they delivered can't wait to see who the next left field character's they reveal like come on who thought a dragon quest character whould be in smash
A lot of people thought dragon quest was going to be in smash lol. Or at least a lot of smash ultimate theory channels thought so, same with Banjo.
Most of Japan thought Dragon Quest would be in smash
Pretty much everyone expected it, between the datamines saying so since the beginning of the year and Dragon Quest's monstrous importance and status as Japan's favorite thing ever.
It's obvious that the DQ Heroes are gonna be alternate costumes a'la Bowser Jr. and the Koopalings.

I wish Banjo-Kazooie was a big part of my childhood so that I could be a part of the hype, but honestly, it used to freak the fuck out of me when I was a little kid and actually give me nightmares. I think it was the sounds certain characters would make while talking or something like that that scared me.
Also, speaking of joining in on the hype, literally just today, I decided to go out and buy Dragon Quest XI so that I can at least be excited for that character when he comes out. It's better at least than me just continuing to be salty that it wasn't Sora and could significantly lower the chances of Sora being included considering their games are both Square Enix properties. Though, I think Sora and the other KH original characters are technically solely owned by Disney.
I'd suggest looking at Toads smash announcement for Project M. I know its not official Smash, but its extremely well done.

I wonder if the four DQ heroes will have their own announcer stuff? I assume they were collectively called 'The Hero' here because they didnt want to do four separate splash screen things. But we know from the Koopalings and Alph that named Alts are shown by their proper name and referred to by their proper name by the announcer. (And if they have the announcer there to record him saying 'The Hero', it surely wouldn't take too much more time or effort to have him say their names instead)

Banjo and Kazooie? People have nostalgia of the games. They had 3 games, with the third one easily being the worst and most hated of them.
